In that week, the doctor reached out to us ZERO times. Sure, we heard from the PA, but it is now 4 weeks since she passed and we have never heard from the doctor at all. Not even a condolence call. I still don't know exactly why my mother took a downturn under their care. I still don't know if everything that could had been done was done. We are left in the dark. Apparently that information is not forwarded to the actual office but oh well. I waited about 45 minutes or so until I was brought back. I had to give a urine sample and then waited a very short amount of time to meet with doctor Kagan. The bedside manner was excellent. I felt heard and understood. Dr Kagan is phenomenal. Wish I had met her sooner. I definately recommend and will be returning. The only thing is I was charged a 50 copay but my insurance company confirmed with me my copay was zero dollars. I wholeheartedly and without reservation recommend Dr. Martin Bolic…read more Recently, and within minutes of my seeing him, Dr. Bolic diagnosed my complaints and referred me for immediate treatment to the cardiologist and director of clinical research at St. Francis Hospital on Long Island. I went directly to the hospital. On arrival the cardiologist conducted his own diagnosis, agreed with Dr. Bolic, authorized immediate surgery and assured me, both at that time and repeatedly on subsequent occasions, that Dr. Bolic had provided "first class medical care". Surgery was conducted immediately and confirmed Dr. Bolic's diagnosis and conclusion that immediate surgical intervention had been essential. Thanks to this immediate surgical intervention which I received as a result of Dr. Bolic's prompt diagnosis and referral my condition was cured and I sustained no permanent damages or injury. I have no doubt that Dr. Bolic saved my life or, at the very least, saved me from a very significantly impaired life. Separately, I have been a patient of Dr. Bolic for some time. I have always found him patient, willing to listen and willing to explain and to continue to explain until I understand what he is telling me. Most important, for me, he is an exceptionally nice man.

It is now one month later and my Insurance broker still does not have the records. I have been trying to find out for two weeks the status of these records. My Insurance agent has called and I have called and I get no information. All they did was give me the telephone number of the Third Party that handles the records. All my other doctors have sent their records and they were received within one week. South Shore Heart does not even respond to my calls. I was told the person who handles Medical Records is on vacation. This is totally unacceptable and no none seems to care. I have told my Primary Care Physician not to recommend South Shore Heart.
