This was exactly what I needed to get familiar with a professional woodshop and all the essential tools. The class accomplished its main goal perfectly: giving beginners hands-on experience with the equipment in a safe, structured way. Over two Saturday afternoon sessions (3.5 hours each), we made a simple candle holder while rotating through practically every major tool in the shop. We used the sliding compound miter saw, jointer, planer, table saw, band saw, router, and various sanders. While the project itself wasn't particularly exciting, it was clearly designed to maximize tool exposure rather than create a masterpiece. David was an excellent instructor who prioritized safety above all else and patiently answered every question. The class size of about 10 people felt just right for getting individual attention. The woodshop itself is impressive with a fantastic selection of professional-grade tools. Parking was easy and the classroom was simple to locate. At around $150 per person, it's not cheap, but felt reasonable considering you're getting access to thousands of dollars worth of equipment and quality instruction. Just expect to get covered in sawdust! We had plenty of time to complete our project without feeling rushed. This class is perfect for complete beginners who want to learn woodworking basics in a supportive environment. It's specifically designed as a safety prerequisite for their more advanced classes where you can tackle more interesting projects. If you're thinking about woodworking as a hobby or just want to try it out, this is an ideal starting point. I'm definitely planning to take more classes here.

I was so excited to be part of this program to have a better life for my daughter and myself as a single mother I completed the academic side of the program and when it was time to do the Externship program I was hit with medical setbacks which I have doctors notes for but unfortunately I was told that six months after I completed my academic portion of my schooling I can no longer be part of the program. I wouldn't be able to finish my externship meaning I wouldn't be able to get a job as medical Assistant after I begged and pleaded to just give me one more month to complete two more weeks of Externship due to medical issues. This place is uncaring and a money grab. They crushed my dreams because I had a medical issue. Funny this is the career we all joined the medical field to take care of people who are having medical issues. These people are not nice and uncaring.

I understand that this school provides a valuable service to those seeking further education, this…read morereview is less about the school's programs as a whole and more about how absolutely poorly the Pearson testing center is run here. I was scheduled for a certification exam on a Thursday night, one of their only two exam nights per week. I showed up well over an hour before my exam was scheduled and began studying a little bit more. I noticed that there was literally only one person in the front for the better part of the hour I was waiting. It wasn't until about 20 minutes before testing - 5 minutes before the people taking the exam where supposed to check in - that the rest of the test administration staff started rolling in. This is a bit of a red flag, as MOST places I have been to try to get there well before check in to make sure the computers we're testing on are working properly, and if there was an issue they would have time to try and fix it. This is not at all what happened. The exam I scheduled myself for was supposed to start at 6:00 pm. I wasn't told what was going on, aside from "Technical difficulties" until around 6:40 pm at which point the staff mentioned that their wifi in the room was down, and had been for a while and no one had done anything about it. Very shortly after this, the entire facility lost wifi, and the servers were not on site - a poor design choice in terms of a "quality" testing center I was assured by the staff that the director of the facility would "look into this first thing in the morning on Friday." Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and most of Monday came and went, and nothing from the testing center, or from Pearson VUE. So I showed up today 12/16/2019 to ask what the status was, and was givin a piece of paper with a phone number and case number to call. Only, they gave me the phone number THEY should use to call as it pertained ONLY to the testing center. My issue with this site is the gross negligence and incompetence of the testing staff in this unfortunate situation for myself and the other people who where essentially hosed on Thursday night, assured something would be done, and then, shockingly (HEAVY SARCASM) nothing happened. As of now I am out $400 for this exam, and am expected to handle this myself after their extreme lack of foresight and laziness in this situation. I will not be taking another exam here, nor would I suggest any one else do the same. The extra drive will be worth the avoidance of the headache caused by this site.

With that in mind, I was presented two options for industry-leading knowledge providers...and I chose Product School. Why? Because from the moment I engaged with the PS team, I was presented with timely, accurate, and relevant information pertaining my anticipated role and how they could assist me in being better prepared. At no point did anyone there "guarantee" me anything - which was much appreciated on my part. The financial admissions process was straightforward through a third-party lender and I was admitted into the upcoming course within a few days. A flurry of emails went out within a few minutes of acceptance and on-boarding was completed digitally in minutes. Now to the important stuff - how was the actual course? In short, it was excellent and far exceeded my expectations. I was fortunate to be surrounded by incredibly capable and engaged fellow learners and led by Rocky Sharma as an instructor. During the five days we covered all of the basic level skills required to understand the PM role and Rocky routinely placed us into learning groups to validate our theoretical concepts. If this were a course that lasted another week, I'd gladly make the time. I feel a lot better prepared now for my upcoming interview as a Product Manager and am looking forward to seeing how and where my new alum network goes in life. It's been a great week and I would recommend this course to a lot of folks considering starting a company, all the way to the potential product manager role!

She achieved excellent grades in English. Now she is in college. On many occasions, she received high praises and marks from her professors for the essays in various humanities courses. Once she got a perfect score in Advanced Writing course, which the professor never believed in perfect score in an essay before. Since we moved to Long Island, New York a few years ago, we had been looking for a tutor like Ann for our younger daughter. But we couldn't find any good teacher like Ann. We contacted Ann after long search and fortunately she offered tutoring over Skype. We were so pleased with the outcome we got with our older daughter, we didn't hesitate to enlist her help with our younger daughter.  Our younger daughter, 10th grader has been learning over Skype for 10 months. She learns to read more complex texts and expands her vocabulary. We have noticed significant improvements in mindset for approaching and organizing essays. She is steadily improving and can carry herself with more confidence and excels her writing skills and reading comprehension not only in English also in other classes such as history, marketing, research and writing science lab reports.  We are impressed by Ann's teaching method. She reviews and tests new vocabularies, practice critical reading, edit homework essay and check grammar sheets within one hour tutoring session. Also she is very kind and supportive, which makes learnings from her more enjoyable and effective. Her teaching method is superb and well organized. We are always thankful for Ann's wonderful teaching after lesson every week.

The 1 hour program was good, but I felt the introduction video, with "Luna the moth", wasn't age appropriate for our kids. It felt too babyish and they weren't interested in that part. The rest of the program was great, and it kept their attention throughout the rest of the program. I think also more interactive content would be helpful, instead of the kids staring up at a screen for 1 hour. Also not being able to record our field trip inside was a bummer, so we don't have any evidence of what we saw. I understand their policies, but it would be nice to have some pictures and video of what they saw during the show. The person hosting too, was pretty dry lol. Her voice was very monotone and her jokes were a lot of 80's references, which was way over their heads, because they're only 7 years old, lol.

The professors were super nice and wanted you to pass your classes. Coming in, I thought De Anza would be super easy and I wouldn't have to put in any effort; I was somewhat right and wrong. Some of the classes were easy and fun; with only 20-30 students in a class, the classes were more intimate than bigger CSU or UC classes. Some of the classes were legitimately difficult, but they were passable if you really put your mind to it. The food in the cafeteria and cafe were affordable and delicious. I loved the sandwiches, coffee, and instant ramen. Parking is bad in the morning-afternoon, but empties out around late afternoon. Traffic on 85 is bad around 3pm though so I personally liked going to evening classes.
