When I was fixing a flat tire at a corporate tire shop, they quoted us $500 for additional repairs. Brought my vehicle to Knutsen for a second opinion. They fixed the problem and only charged me $25 (as the issue didn't require replacing parts but re-clamping a hose that was loose). I cannot thank them enough for their honesty, fairness, and kindness.

Caveat - I was not actually a paying customer so you can disregard my review on those grounds. I…read morewas test driving a used car from a guy late at night and the only mechanic in the area still open was his mechanic, so we stopped in to talk to him about the car (I know, I should have had an objective mechanic check it out). The Hillcrest mechanic told me that even though the ABS warning light was on, the ABS absolutely worked, the front end was tights, and he'd buy it if he had the money. I bought the car and learned the next day from my mechanic, that not only was the ABS not working, but if the light is on it means it absolutely CANNOT work. It would cost almost $400 (and the front end was loose in 2 places). So I called Hillcrest and told the mechanic that I bought the car on his word that the ABS worked. He denied ever saying it worked. I asked if he would fix it at half price. "Not gonna happen." Click. I'm not wining about it, caveat emptor, I did see the warning light, and I still got an ok price on a decent car. I'm posting this to document the mechanic's dishonesty.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS I normally don't leave reviews,…read morebut I must given the circumstances. Please take the time to read this as I desire to prevent others from making the same mistake that I did in going to this shop and attempting to give it a chance. If you value your mental health, being treated with respect and seeing others treated with respect, trustworthiness, your car's health, and your money, look elsewhere. Consider my experience and decide for yourself. If you value good customer service, do NOT go here. The shop owner (Howard) has made me feel completely disrespected and unvalued as a customer on numerous occasions, is abrasive and impatient over the phone and in-person, does not attempt to engage in and grow a customer-centered relationship, and ridcules my questions often, making me feel guilty for asking them in the first place. See for yourself. If you value a company/an owner that demonstrates respect towards their staff, do NOT go here. Howard has demonstrated shocklingly mean behavior towards his staff, especially the gentleman that works the front desk (who is very kind and tries his best). He has made degrading remarks to his staff in front of myself and other customers. I can't imagine what it's like working there and I feel sorry for his employees whom seem very nice and helpful. See for yourself. If you value quality parts being put into your car, do NOT go here. The parts they've installed into my car are questionable and have failed on numerous occasions, dissolving my trust and making me question Howard's integrity. If you find yourself in the situation of a part failing after getting your car serviced here, you'll likely find out quickly that you are not prioritized and are put on the backburner and made to feel guilty. See for yourself. Howard's aggregious behavior has finally made me decide to end this overall negative experience and look elsewhere. I hope whoever is reading this can learn from my experience and prevent themselves from making the same mistake I did in going to this shop.

Very honest, will go out of their way to help save you money. This business is not a used car…read moredealership and does not buy and sell used vehicles. It is strictly an Auto Repair Shop, the review below is by an angry neighbor who drove the vehicle for a while and trashed it. Expected previous owner to fix it for free after he went somewhere else to have it repaired and was still not satisfied. The neighbor can come and get his car anytime as the vehicle is still sitting here. NEVER sell a vehicle to someone you know if you own a business, as they can make up horrible reviews on Yelp about your business. And Yelp is also disgusting for letting this person post this review as he was not an actual customer, and also for allowing filthy language in their reviews.

I bought a car form them and immediately ran into problems. Brought the car into another shop (Car Care Eagan) and had to have $1,500 of work put into it just to have it working right. After I still ran into problems with that car I assumed it was cursed and tried selling it back. Since the owner didn't have any money to buy the car back (only asked for what I bought it for $2,500 didn't even ask for what I put into it) he wanted to trade me for a different car. I didn't really have many options so I decided to trade for another car. Brought this one into Care Care again and it has even MORE problems than the first car. Any repair He claimed to have done on my car was a hack job and was not done correctly. Now this guy has the car I PAYED TO FIXED in better condition than it has ever been and just gave me another complete lemon car. THIS GUY IS A CON ARTIST. And I'm almost positive the owner has no knowledge on fixing cars, he just hires young mechanics pays them close to nothing and they do all the work for him. DO NOT GIVE HIM YOUR BUSINESS. You WILL get taken advantage of. Fuck this guy and his business.
