Our engagement shoot was an absolute blast, and we ended up with really creative and colorful shots that captured our personalities 100%. Our wedding photos are 1 million times better than I ever could have imagined. I've been in many weddings and the photographers are usually so annoying and cheesy. Tuan was neither of these things. We basically gave him zero direction with what we wanted our photos to look like and left it up to his artistic creativity. Not only did we end up with gorgeous shots that I never would have thought of in a million years, We were able to enjoy our wedding without worrying if we got the millions of suggested photos on every single wedding website. Our photos were beautifully edited, delivered to us in a timely fashion, and well worth the money. Plus Tuan himself is a cool looking dude and everyone at our wedding kept talking about him and smiling whenever he walked around- so our guest shots are awesome too. If you are looking for an amazing photographer and you don't book Tuan- you're missing out.

These were once-in-a-lifetime memories, and the loss was absolutely heartbreaking for us. While he did provide us with a full refund, no amount of money can replace our wedding photos or undo the emotional impact of this incident. As clients, we reasonably expected a professional photographer to have reliable backup systems to protect something this important. This situation caused significant stress and sadness during what should have been a joyful time. We are sharing our experience so future couples can make a fully informed decision when choosing a photographer for such an important day.

From the start, Daniel made us feel completely at ease, which was so important to us. We wanted our photos to feel fun and candid, not overly posed, and the team really delivered on that. We loved the whole crew's calm energy, and they were quick to adapt to whatever came up, making the entire experience smooth and stress-free. Videography for a wedding is often viewed as "optional" rather than "essential." I am definitely in…read morethe camp of "essential." Everyone knows that hiring a good photographer is---and should be---paramount, but I cannot stress the importance of having your special day videographed. Pictures are wonderful, but cannot capture your voice cracking when you say your vows. Pictures don't let you hear the toasts at the reception, or all the other wonderful stuff you didn't see, or might miss because the day is such a blur. But the most important reason to hire a videographer is simply this: People don't live forever. A beloved family member of mine recently passed away, and thanks to Shangri-La Wedding Films, he is captured forever, just as I will remember him on that day--hearing his voice, seeing him laugh, and watching him alive and happy. That is truly priceless. So I urge you to make room in your wedding budget for a videographer. It makes spending all the other money worth it, I promise. There are many packages from which to choose, or simply customize what works best for you, including music that you personally select. The only reason I'm not giving five stars is that the final product took a bit longer, and we had to "nudge" them a bit. The film itself will be cherished for years to come. Shangri-La truly did a remarkable job with the time capsule of the best day of my life, Highly recommended!

I would also like to note that they are on the more affordable end. =)

Upon initial meet, we had explained kind of what we were looking for and Chong was pretty receptive and able to send over some sample work of his right away to convince us he was the guy for the job. Impressed with both his ability to capture the moment and his wide variety of shots, we booked him right away as his prices were very reasonable compared to a lot of LA photographers we were looking at (including additional travel costs to get him to come to LA and shoot our big day). We first met up with Chong and his assistant Alex to have them shoot our engagement photos at Milton Lee Olive Park & Navy Pier. It was definitely a good practice shoot to work on posing, angles, and break the ice as being photographed isn't the most natural thing. Definitely got plenty of good shots and ended up using one of our favorites for the save the date cards. Fast forward to the big day in Pasadena, CA, Chong and his assistant Kevin were very professional and very much in their element. My wife and I couldn't be any happier with the quality of shots we got from the getting ready photos, to first looks, to detailed shots, some group shots at city hall, and the plenty of photos throughout the ceremony. I would definitely give Choice Photos a look if you're looking for someone to shoot the big day at a reasonable price. Thanks for everything Chong & team! 'Til next time, cheers!

Chong weaved through these potential issues expertly. By utilizing a divine intuition of light and subject, Chong easily directed his lighting team and my poses. We finished the shoot in less than two hours and I was emailed the pictures the very next day (with the appropriate watermarks to boot)! I'm not exaggerating when I say I spent over 6 months looking, researching and interviewing photographers until I finally found Studio Finch. From the moment we first met Jason & Ela we loved them. They are just great people and totally down to earth. They answered all of our questions and made us feel at ease. Now, onto the actual photos...I can't tell you how absolutely AMAZING our photos are. We got married 2 years ago and people still comment online about how fantastic our photos are and want to know who our photographers were. I had sent Ela a bunch of shots we wanted to re-create with our wedding party and they did every last shot and they came out exactly like we wanted. They trudged through old barns, cow manure, mud, dirt and grime to get our shots. Not too many photographers would do that!!! Not only did they do it, they suggested most of those shots! Bottom line is, they are just fantastic. You get 2 incredible photographers with 2 different sets of eyes and styles when you book them. They will go above & beyond to capture the magic of your day and smile while doing it. I've since recommend them to multiple people who have used them for their weddings and they just rave about how fantastic they were and how incredibly happy they are with their photos.
