The first thing myself and others noticed was that Jimmy put a great amount of time into planning for our event, even though the video was going to be quite short. It was great to communicate with the Shot Time team frequently during the planning phase- it was apparent that they strive to create exactly what a customer is hoping for. Arriving early (in sub-zero temperature), the crew was clearly a group of professionals- making last minute adjustments, advising about camera angles/room lighting, and other aspects that we did not realize could affect the video. Everyone was impressed by the professionalism of the team and the quality of the video equipment. The event was a great success, and the final cut of the video that Shot Time created was fantastic. Working with these professionals was a great experience and I would recommend them to anyone.

She and Chris did a great job capturing our day. We had SO MANY photos to choose from - it was a bit overwhelming at first, but so great to have a ton of options. There are a few shots I wish I had, but I don't feel like anything is missing from my wedding day. Be sure to mention anything you want specifically so Monica can make it happen. Definitely pay for 2 shooters on your wedding day - it's so worth it. We made sure we had 10 hours of coverage (getting ready to midway through the reception) and that was a good amount of time. It was great that our guest book, engagement shoot, and wedding album (plus a print credit) were included. I can't recommend Monica enough!

When the time was right, we booked with them and looking back couldn't be any happier that we did. Monica & her husband, Chris, are a powerful photography team that captured all the little and big moments for our wedding. There were sweet moments they captured, like one of our friend's little girl's tossing up flowers in the air after the ceremony, or my little cousin waiving at me as I walked down the aisle - things I may have missed. Their attention to detail is extraordinary and they capture emotion with each shot. What I love most about their photography style, is they let you be you and their editing style is flawless. When I was looking for the right photographer for our wedding, I was comparing them to others in the area. I didn't want pictures to have too many filters or we look so photoshopped we don't look like ourselves. Many photographers tend to do this, but not Monica and Chris. They will fix what they need to, make art as you wish, but I love that I look at our pictures and we look like we are having fun and are totally natural. They're a joy to work with, funny, and worth every penny. They also recently opened up a studio for sessions in Michigan City. I plan to use them for future maternity and family sessions as we live life.

My family hired Carasco Photography for my husband's and my wedding which took place over Memorial Day weekend 2014. We initially found them through our venue, Germania Place, on the list of "preferred vendors" and decided to meet Scott and Cara in person to discuss our expectations and vision for the big day. From our first meeting in their awesome studio, it was clear to me that Scott and Cara not only have the credentials and experience as top-of-the-line wedding photographers but they were very helpful in getting me to articulate what my vision for the wedding was. They were very supportive from the time we started working with them (in March 2013 or so) through the day of and after the fact, when photos were developed and processed. We ended up booking Ryan, who is one of Cara and Scott's lead photographers. I cant say enough great things about Ryan; he has a great sense of humor, was easy to work with, and we never felt awkward around him (yep, not even during those "now stare longingly into each others' eyes" engagement photos). We had our engagement photos taken with Ryan and he was great; everyone was very impressed with the quality and breadth of the photos. The same was true for the wedding day, which went amazingly and which was perfectly captured by Ryan and his partner that day, Leland. There is not one photo opp I didnt get that I wish I had; Ryan captured everything and did so in a creative way that truly captured the spirit of the day. The photos were so good that, in fact, my mother who did not order a photo album as part of our photo package initially was so enamored with them that she immediately called Cara to order one. Bottom line: I highly recommend Carasco Photography for their wedding photo services. They are among the best in the Chicago area from a price and quality perspective and you will not be disappointed when you hire them! Cara, Scott, and Ryan: thank you so much for being so great to work with and for taking the most amazing photos for us.

Once I met Jessica at OneJuly Photography I was confident that I had found that perfect photographer I had been searching for! If you scroll through Jessica's blog or social media accounts you will find the most beautiful and natural images of couples. You will also find gorgeous and artistic images of wedding accessories that really capture all the tiny details that went into planning your wedding. Jess creates a photographic journal of your day and beautifully documents every single detail, which allows you to relive your day over and over again (which I know every bride can appreciate since the day/night is over so fast). When I first talked to Jess I appreciated how easy it was to talk to her and it was as if we had been friends for years! Then when I met Jess it just confirmed all of those feelings. She is the sweetest person ever and exudes joy and happiness! Her passion for photography shines through as she works with you during your engagement session and wedding day. Most people might find it awkward to have someone photographing you, but Jess makes it so easy and comfortable, which is why I believe her photographs look so stunning and natural. She also makes it such a fun experience and she is an awesome and positive person to be around! I was so surprised when I looked at my email three weeks after our wedding and saw our wedding gallery was ready and that Jess had also posted a beautiful blog post. I was amazed at how many photographs Jess included in the gallery and every single photo blew us away. I also want to mention that I was a bride planning an out of state wedding. Jess was very accommodating to work with our schedule in regards to the engagement session and always responsive through phone and email. She was also a huge help in recommending other vendors and helping me to know the area since it was my husband's hometown. It's easy to say Jess went above and beyond as a wedding photographer! She has become more than just our wedding photographer and is a wonderful, sweet friend I hope to keep in touch with for many years to come! We feel we could not have chosen a better photographer for these very special moments in our lives. There is not a single person (both in US and in Argentina) that looks at the work he has done on these three events and is not mesmerized. He has the ability to capture those moments you only realize you've had when you look at his pics. Doug is really one of a kind: not only his work is amazing, but also he is a fantastic person. We were lucky to find someone so nice to work with, with whom you know you can really count on. At the same time, he can be so hands-off during the events which we think makes the pictures turn out better since you can be yourself all along the way! There are not enough words to describe his work, you just have to see it for yourself. He will not let you down!

Doug, my fiancé, and I first met up to do the engagement pictures in Chicago. Doug was open and flexible about meeting times and locations, and while I had a few ideas of where I wanted to do shots, Doug offered up his expertise, and the combination of locations made for beautiful engagement pictures. On that day Doug spent over three hours with us, talking, catching up, laughing and making sure we got all of the pictures we would want. Our wedding day with Doug was even better. Leading up to the big day, Doug was easy going when schedules had to change.Throughout the day Doug made me feel at ease, and the pictures truly show that. In the bridal room he made sure to capture all the small details: the hanger with my new last name, the bride to be sign on the bed, the veil draped over the door, the intricate lace on my dress...everything. When we headed over to the ceremony Doug did a great job coordinating the formal shots with a large wedding party, large families (46 people!), not a lot of time, and sweltering heat. He even sat with the bridal party in a stifling room before the ceremony and still managed to capture moments of laughter and nervousness as the celebration was about to begin. In addition to all that he even had a bridal kit with him in case of emergencies, such a professional! Throughout the ceremony and reception though, Doug did what I love most about his style of photography. He captured people as they really were on that day. He spent the day finding people smiling, laughing, crying, talking, dancing and enjoying the celebration. That is what my husband and I wanted most out of our day, and we are so lucky to have had Doug as our photographer to capture those moments most dear to us. I cannot recommend him enough!
