All i'm going to say is I had the opportunity to try Ono Wai Shave Ice while I visited Leesburg, VA…read morea couple of weeks ago and I'm ready to go back just for this sweet treat. We have so-called shave ice here in Boston but it's not like Ono Wai's. These are served with ice cream at the bottom - YUM- and a drizzle of sweet cream on top! It's like 2 desserts in one because by the time you get to the bottom, the flavored ice made the ice cream frosty and sweet - like a creamsicle- but better! The hardest part of ordering this little cup of heaven is choosing the flavors - they have 25 - and apparently they are imported from Hawaii. Thankfully, my family ordered different flavors so I was able to try a variety. They were all rich and flavorful. I'll be back Ono Wai - I'll be back!

Unlike a snow cone, the fluffy ice absorbs the shavings versus surrounding it at the bottom of the cup. This makes for a much more flavorful experience. The ice is then flavored with one of 25 syrups we offer. Some patrons opt to have ice cream placed in the bottom of their shave ice flower cup and top the flavored shavings with a sweet cream. Overall, it's sweet but an absolute must-get -- somehow the croffle stays super crispy despite being absolutely drenched in Nutella. The tiramisu snow, on the other hand, didn't quite hit the same. It was topped with chocolate ice cream, which I actually think hurt the dish. The snow itself is super soft and fluffy, but paired with the rich chocolate ice cream, it made the snow taste almost icy in comparison. Separately, the snow is great -- together, not my favorite combo. I also tried the Thai tea with bubbles, just to sample their drinks. Unfortunately, the bubbles weren't the texture I like, and the Thai tea had an artificial taste. I ordered it less sweet (I usually prefer my drinks a lot less sweet than standard), but after the sugar overload from the other desserts, it just wasn't enjoyable. I'd definitely come back for the croffle and to try their "ade" drinks, but I'm not sure I'd get the snow again.

I decided to check out Cafe Moment because I had a random craving for bingsu. When my husband and I…read morewent to the self ordering kiosk, we noticed a very pungent sewage smell in the hallway area. The floor was also very sticky. We ordered the Greentea Mochi Snowflake and were pretty disappointed. I was hoping that the green tea flavor would be more of a matcha flavor but that wasn't the case. I like the taste of green tea so I wouldn't have minded but the bingsu was so sweet, I could barely taste any green tea flavor. The best part about the bingsu was the corn flakes and mochi bits but I don't even like corn flakes. The portion was pretty generous and could easily be shared with 2-3 people, which would be nice if the bingsu was actually good. We ended up only eating less than half of it. Would I go back? : Definitely not. I've never had a bad bingsu before and unfortunately this will be the first. We ended up going to Chateau de Chantilly Cafe afterwards because of how unsatisfied we were with our experience.

Decent bingsoo, but with slightly confusing service and store organization. I absolutely adore…read moreKorean shaved ice, so I was really grateful to find this spot in Eden Center. It might have just been because I was visiting during COVID times, but the actual Snow Show counter was closed and we had to order from the neighboring boba shop...the signage wasn't particularly clear, and there weren't any staff members on that side of the restaurant, so we ended up thinking that it was just closed for a bit. Aside from that, though, absolutely loved the place! The decor and ambiance were absolutely BEAUTIFUL. They really made the entire restaurant feel like a winter wonderland, with snowflakes, string lights, and fake icicles. The seating was in the shape of mini igloos and absolutely adorable. If nothing else, I would highly recommend just coming here to take a bunch of cute photos. The bingsoo itself is...solid but nothing particularly special. The ice is yummy, and I loved the mini mango mochi and popping pearls. I did thing that there were a bit too many popping pearls compared to the amount of ice -- I felt like the last 30% of the bowl was just popping pearls. The mango was clearly frozen, so it was a bit tough to bite through without my teeth getting a bit too cold, but it was still pretty tasty! Some of the miniature mochi balls had a great, chewy texture, while others seemed to still be frozen. All around, a pretty solid spot, but there's definitely some room for improvement...even so, I'll probably still find myself here again since I'm a bit of a bingsoo addict.

Yummy new spot for desserts in Eden Center!…read more Tried the bubble tea bingsu, the signature taro ball dessert, and the caramel boba pudding. The bingsu was good - the texture was a nice balance of ice and cream. And the boba was able to maintain it's soft and chewy texture despite being at the bottom of the cold dessert. The caramel pudding was quite good. The sauce was more like a brown sugar syrup, but it complemented the milder flavor of the pudding well. The taro ball dessert was a little underwhelming. The taro balls themselves did not have a strong taro flavor. Most of the flavor was in the caramel syrup that came with the dish. And there was a lot of syrup on this one. There was a real chunk of in the dessert as well, which is where most of the actual flavor came from. But this dessert was more about the texture than the flavor tbh. The inside is set up in a pretty cute way though. Wish it wasn't a pandemic so more people could sit down and enjoy the atmosphere but hopefully this place will stick around long enough for that opportunity.
