I give this team five stars without reservation. I was extremely nervous about starting physical…read moretherapy as I'd had a very negative experience with it years before to help me regain what I refer to as "body confidence" as I combat SLE (Lupus). Working with Bruce was everything I could have hoped for and more. Not only did he seem to understand what my goals were, he structured a plan and pacing that was spot on for my capabilities. He didn't stop there, though, checking in at each visit to tailor that day to my current functionality. I can't think of a better way to efficiently and effectively get quality results and recovery. I've seen him work with patients of all types and injuries as well as at various times of the day. His dedication and quality of care is consistent and top notch. While I wasn't able to engage with the other trainers as closely, from what I could see during my visits that level of professionalism carries throughout the office. As someone who must engage with healthcare professionals on a frequent basis, I know healing happens outside tests and medications. The staff here has so much heart you feel better just walking in the door. I can confirm that you'll be a mixed bag of emotions when you leave your last appointment: excited to have reached your goals, sad to lose such great care!

He massaged aching muscles in a way that made me SO much more relaxed than when I arrived. I've been to other physical therapist but Jason really took the time to get to know me. I've had two surgeries on my neck so my issues are focused on the neck, shoulders and back. Jason didn't just tell me how to stretch, but he helped me through the stretches. He helped push my body in ways that released tension in places I didn't even realized needed that stretch. All in all, I felt great when I left and have appointments booked for the next two weeks. If you're in pain, give Select Physical Therapy a try. It's early in my progress but I have high hopes that this treatment will bring me relief.

About the only medication that seems to lower the pain enough to sleep well is 100 mg of Tramadol before bed. Katya has been working on my feet with needling and massage for blood flow, and the results have been astonishing. For the first time in years, I am able to sleep and walk around without pain medication. I simply cannot recommend her enough.

When I was 63, upon retiring after 40+ years in commercial construction, my first splurge was not on a grand vacation or a big house project, both activities my wife and I often discussed and planned, but was focused on eradicating the increasing pain in my lower back and hips, which sadly made those other dreams seem unattractive and increasingly unobtainable. So my first retirement "project" was a series of stem cell and PRP treatments over several months; although it did help, the relief obtained wasn't to the level that I still hoped was possible, and seemed necessary to regain my confidence in taking on high-level physical activities. So I next went for the total hip replacement, tackling the worst side first; thankfully it did take care of that hip's pain... but my back pain was still nagging me, and the hip surgery had so greatly reduced my lower-body strength that I'd not regained much enthusiasm for those other dreamed-for activities. What finally seemed to stem the tide, thankfully, came from almost off-handed recommendations from both providers: "you should find a good physical therapist". I was skeptical, having tried a few PT providers when my back first started really hurting 10+ years prior... but I'd only seen limited improvements. I decided to give PT one more shot, however, because I'd recently heard such good things about Take Charge Physical Therapy from a long-time friend who had suffered from debilitating back and neck pain for most of her adult life, finally obtaining relief from their practice. So I started with Take Charge in August 2022, and to my surprise, started to see improvement in both pain reduction and returning strength/function of my lower body, even within a few months, which of course motivated me to continue. Soon it became obvious that Katya's PT treatments would be the primary driver in my steady return to where I was enjoying my ranch work and travel again, regaining the confidence and capacity that I used to take for granted when I was younger. My wife I are now enjoying our travel dreams, and I'm doing ranch projects I've been hesitant to tackle for years. Looking back, I'm convinced that most of my progress to healing has been due to Katya's care at Take Charge, even to the point that I think I may have even obtained this level of success without the stem/PRP and the hip replacement... or at least I'm now convinced that I won't need to replace the other hip. And currently, although I'm at a point of self-sustaining care, I still look forward to Katya's treatments, not only because of her role in addressing those little surprises that show up in the aging process, but also because of her depth of knowledge in anything related to muscles, tendons, and bones (to be expected from a doctorate of physical therapy from CU Anschutz), and so many other facets of overall healthily living. For any of my friends who seriously want to reduced nagging muscle pain and to address their overall health, I can't recommend Katya enough.

I've spent years in Physical Therapy/Massage Therapy and unfortunately would only experience temporary relief with no long term pain management. About 6 months ago I was finally referred to Joint Effort by a PA who was administering weekly injections for the pain. He swore I would feel relief and receive great care at Joint Effort. I was hesitant but scheduled my appointment. My first visit I met Jordan, I explained to him my history, lack of real recovery and had advised him that due to ongoing shoulder issues from my accident I was unable to lift my arm to wash my hair or even hold my child. I instantly could see the genuine concern and also his confidence that he would help me get back to a good place. Jordan has integrated needling, cupping, deep tissue massage and exercises that have truly started to correct the long term problems and pain I've been experiencing. After my first week of care I could move my arm almost 60% more than I had in months and stopped receiving injections immediately. By the end of my second week I was back to using my arm with ease and could feel my confidence to complete everyday tasks coming back. It's truly been a pleasure to be under Jordans care as you can truly feel his dedication to his patients. In all my years of physical therapy I have never received such care and I am no longer hoping I'm getting better I can actually feel and see the results. I also have to compliment the assistants as they are equally amazing and dedicated to patient care. If you're looking for real care from a dedicated staff and team I highly suggest Joint Effort.
