Owner Samantha Scupps and manager Laetitia Laurin seem to have no grasp of customer retention. When a longtime practitioner walks in ready to commit, a good studio finds a way to keep them. Instead I was met with an inflexible, short-sighted attitude that was anything but professional -- the kind of thing that turns a potential regular into a one-time visitor. The space itself is as cramped as every other packed NYC studio, so nothing sets it apart there. And wipe down your blocks and mat before you use them: the sanitation I witnessed was poor. If you want hot yoga in the city, there are better options. Hot 8 has stronger management and genuinely great instructors, and Y7 is in the same tier. Start there instead. Bottom line: not a studio for the serious practitioner.

The owner was our instructor that day and it is clear how passionate it. This isn't a CorePower it's traditional yoga which was a breath of fresh air given my current practice is at CP. I really felt unit 108 cared about my mental well being in pushing me to the next level of my yogi practice. He cared to encourage me to try new poses, fall and picked me back up. He also adjusted any posture I had that was off. I left the class feeling refreshed and confident! The entrance was a bit hard to figure out but eventually i saw you buzzed in and walked up the stairs it was easy to get to the studio. If i lived in the area this would be my go to yoga place. Give it a try! BONUS POINTS: It's next to Baked in Brooklyn so grab a bagel after your class.

It's exactly what you think it's going to be- slower paced but still challenging because you are holding the poses for a longer amount of time. I feel sooo good after these classes - it's the equivalent of going to a massage and an amazing sweat! Their regular flow classes are faster paced and due to the darkness of the room might be difficult to keep up if you are new. I personally prefer focusing on form over speed If they can add more slow burn that would be amazing!! I think a lot of folks would love that option

If it is your first time, I'd recommend starting with the Slow Burn Vinyasa to learn the moves before you move on to a We Flow Hard. They also offer core focused classes called Sculpt.

All are welcome and you feel it from the moment you walk in till the time you leave. The instructors are very welcoming, knowledgeable and encouraging. One in particular is Natalie(owner) and her encouraging spirit. I was one of her first students and came in not knowing what to expect and what I found was not your typical yogi. I was continuing my practice with someone who encouraged me to go harder and longer while hearing the tunes of Stevie Wonder, David Bowie, Prince and a little jazz as well. She got me to do a headstand on my first visit and after a month I was doing it on my own. WOW!!! Now I find myself telling all I meet about yoga and about STACKED YOGA. STACKED is clean, plentiful of good encouragement and instructors that will take your practice to the next level. Don't be afraid of the small space. It is very intimate yes but I think it's what makes STACKED one of the best studious in the city. Come give it a try. You'll love it!! P.S. The yoga retreats are pretty awesome too

Their waitlist system feels very predatory and does not foster a culture of attendance. It's one of…read morethe most frustrating experiences I've had with any class booking system in the city. I lost money on classes for which I had to waitlist weeks in advance, and if I don't constantly manage my waitlists, I lose credits for classes I can't attend. While they have a 12-hour cancellation policy for booked classes, it doesn't seem to apply to waitlisted classes, which is unfair. I bought a 3-pack intro offer and could only waitlist for classes 2-3 weeks ahead because everything else was full. If I get pulled into a waitlisted class I can't make, there's no way for me to drop it without losing my credit. Their support team refused to refund my money or credits, despite it being my first time making this mistake. The classes I attended weren't even full. All in all with $80 intro offer, I could only attend a single class. The whole thing feels like a money-grabbing scheme. I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone.

Finally, the studio space is beautiful, clean and intimate. There is a large skylight that brightens the room with natural light and lush green plants hang from the ceiling. The hallway and lobby are adorned with unique treasures from Ngone's travels (mostly African decor). Random passersby wander into the studio since they are drawn to the space from the outside. Even today, a lady came in and asked if the studio was an art gallery! What's nice too is the lobby doubles as a retail space so many of the items are for sale.
