I have gained life-long friendships and my love for dance remains. Now, as a parent, I send my five year old daughter to dance ballet, tap and hip-hop. The teachers at RWDA are amazing. My daughter went to another studio previously, and while I loved the studio and teachers, the classes were chaotic and the teacher to student ratio was 1:10. At RWDA, I believe the ratio (for her 5 year old class) is more like 1:3. My daughter thoroughly enjoys dancing at RWDA and I attribute this love for dance and performing to the teachers. The school keeps all parents up to date with policies/procedures and are very attentive to parent's suggestions/questions. All teachers are courteous, professional and genuinely care about the kids. RWDA usually holds about three to four performances per year. One large performance in June, one Christmas performance in December and another here and there after their performance sometime in July or August. RWDA's rates are very reasonable. They do not "nickel and dime" you and try to "take your money." They attempt to fit your child into larger shoes (ballet/tap/jazz) so that your child can grow into it. Their costume prices, leotards, tights and shoes are also reasonably priced. It is apparent that RWDA is committed to ensure that cost does not deter parents from enrolling their children in dance. Parking is tight... however if your child attends a Sunday or weekday class, this is not an issue. All in all, I highly recommend this studio because of the teacher's ability to capture a child's attention, inspire them and make them feel comfortable. I hope that my child will have the same experiences I did at RWDA. I believe that RWDA is the best studio to cultivate my child's love for dance.

Unfortunately, my Mini me thought she wouldn't like PACKHawaii because she knew nobody there. That all changed from the first day. In fact, she had such a blast! The staff, and volunteers were welcoming and knew all to well the feeling of not knowing anyone. They made it a fun and safe place for all the kids. Ms. Mini me decided to get up early everyday excited to go and practice. For summer, it was a whole day affair and she was ready to get out the door before I was up. Why couldn't she be like this going to school?! Anyway, performance day came and she was excited about her the whole show. The family came to cheer her on and we were amazed how great the show was! The stage looked amazing. In 2 weeks all the kids memorized their lines, learned choreography, stage presence, and memorized songs. It was impressive to see how much these kids learned in only 2 weeks. They even help make the stage, props, and programs. AMAZING! PACK has different programs. There is the summer programs, different shows to tryout, they have dance classes and offer various workshops for kids. It is such a great program and it is on the Westside!! Overall, It was priceless to see my mini me's confidence and excitement grow with each day. Thank you PACK for having this wonderful program available in the Westside. Westside Story is one of my all-time favorite "classic" movie & musical play and I must say, PACKids did this production justice! Who can resist singing along to "When you're a Jet," or "I Wanna Live in America," or even belt out, "take my hand and I'll take you there..." or "I Feel Pretty, oh so pretty!" PACKids really outdid themselves by singing, dancing and acting their hearts out on stage - it was truly believable and something they can be proud to have been a part of. I know I was proud to have witnessed such a beautiful musical. It's no secret, i embrace local entrepreneurial endeavors and that affinity does not end with just my purchases. I support local talent when I can. Here in west Oahu there is not a shortage of talents and skills. PACK is a local, non-profit, after school musical theatre group that puts on 4-5 musical productions in a year. Children audition for parts and should be able to sing, dance, recite and act. It's the real deal at PACK! Since moving to west Oahu I have seen School House Rock Jr., their Christmas Holiday production, Little Mermaid and now, Westside Story. These kids are amazing!! I've seen them grow with each performance and their sets get better and better. No need to drive into town anymore to catch a play at Diamond Head, Manoa Valley or Hawaii Theatre...PACKids ROCK!!

The instructors are really patient with the young children and make the classes interesting, memorable and fun. They are currently prepping the dancers for a spring program. Prices are typical for an hour long activity. We're paying $20 per session. They offer classes for all levels including adult classes. There is a nice waiting area for parents and they can sit and watch the children learn. A restroom is available as well. There is no dedicated parking lot and street parking can be a challenge to find. We parked on a side street.

Her info now reads that they have a spring performance every year at Mamiya Theater, which is untrue. For the past 2 years, it's been held at Kaimuki High School's theater. I was told that it was previously held at the Kroc Center in Kapolei. This past year, the venue and date were changed from Hawaii Theatre to KHS. We were kicked out of the Academy in April and heard through several moms that the class performance in May (which we didn't participate in) was a total disaster. After months of preparation, the dance was changed at the last minute. The kids on stage didn't know what to do, which wasn't a great look. This was exactly my concern in my correspondence with Page and her assistants from January-April. My daughter began coming to Page Academy in January 2024 and did not know any of the basic ballet positions until after the performance in mid-May. For that reason, I did not want my daughter to perform or take lessons that were heavily geared toward practicing for the spring performance. On top of the fees per lesson (approx $20 x 14 weeks), parents need to purchase the costume ($75) and tix to show ($20 per person). Professional photos & videos are extra ($10 per photo, more for the video) and you aren't allowed to use your own camera in the theater. You do the math. Can't wait to return here soon to see what kinds of lies and excuses Page has to share on this business page. I find it hilarious at this point that she's resorted to deflecting and not addressing the issue -- that she kicked out a 5-year-old because of the contract's own unclear policies. I'm done. They don't take temps, they don't wear masks, and they don't social distance the kids. I would be more comfortable if the room was well ventilated but it's not. There's also a waiting room where parents can wait and watch through a glass and parents aren't required to wear masks either. One of the last days we were there the mother sitting next to me was sniffing every 10 seconds.

This review is in regards to the Zumba class I recently took at Studio 808…read more Studio 808 is located in the heart of Waipahu next to the iconic Leeward Drive-Inn. I've heard of Studio 808's dance programs but have never taken a class until I heard about the Zumba class being offered there. You can take the stairs or elevator to the 2nd floor and reach the studio on the Leeward Drive-Inn side. Once arriving, there is a front desk area set up in front of the studio where people were manning. You can pay in cash or Venmo (I did the mobile pay option because I didn't have cash). Fortunately, Studio 808 has also catered the Zumba class as a remote class so you can actually sign up for the class and dance from home by watching the instructor. Upon arriving to the class, the room was overall clean and spacious. Because the class is also done virtually, there wasn't many people in the room. The Zumba instructor was Erin and I have nothing but great things to say about him. As someone who isn't a dancer, Erin was kind enough to teach the lessons via virtual cam and in-person. The overall class was a lot of fun and I enjoyed the music better at Studio 808 compared to the Zumba classes I take at 24 Hour Fitness. I would definitely recommend to go with Erin because he's exudes positive energy, always smiles while breaking a sweat and definitely knows what he's doing. I was even watching the participants online (who were older folks) and they seemed to thoroughly enjoy the class at home as they would in studio. If you're up for doing a Zumba class in Waipahu (or simply at your own home), I would definitely recommend this class to take. Admission is about $7 per class but the first class is free! Classes are every Tuesday from 6-7pm.

Fees are reasonable for the weekly one hour class. The gym is located in an industrial complex on the west side of Honolulu. Parking is a chore and walking into the complex is downright dangerous with toddlers and cars flying. The entrance needs to have a car-free zone to improve safety. Seating for parents is manageable but uncomfortable. Restrooms are clean.

Nothing really changed except for the price of the hour (in my days used to be $6/hr. Today it's $10/hour & $5/half hr). They give you different wristbands which represents the time you paid for and planned to stay here for. Open gym happens every 1st Friday of the each month. Used to be open gym every Friday every week. When coming here, there are cubbies to place your items. Bring less and leave everything else at home. There's a sitting area for those who aren't jumping or tumbling too. Very minimal parking but a whole lot of street parking near Texaco gas/car wash. One thing that I'd highly recommend is just the sanitization or upkeep of the equipment. They don't have any wipes or sprays to provide and I'm not sure if they clean them at the end of the night. -./")\.-
