Now, I am all for diversity but it would be great if the lady taking the order had some sort of English. The burgers all come with stuff on them. Do I asked for plain with a slice of cheese. She charged me for a Satay burger. I pointed this out and she looked at me like I was stupid. Having asked for a slice of cheese instead of Mayo, relish and salad, you would think it would be simple. I was charged an extra 1.65 even though I wanted less. I complained and was met by incredulity. I persisted and she slapped a pound coin on the counter to shut me up. When the food did come, the chicken was coated in breadcrumbs that were dripping fat. Honestly the chicken had a "Tesco Value" quality. I would never set foot in this place again :-(

Staff seem to be less professional than some of the other harvesters i have been to. I have not had a problem with their food, apart from the odd harvester burger now known as Cheese burger is often over flame grilled and simply tastes of burnt ashes. I have been 4 times now and on two of those occasions it taken over 30 minutes to even be asked for drinks or to order. it's not difficult to simply employ staff harvester has good customer demand. other than that it has a nice log fire, although in winter months is still unbearably cold due to no double glazing.

I had one of their meal deals, for £5.95 I got two spoonfuls of curry (you can have 2 different types, I went for a Vindaloo and a chicken tikka) rice, a naan bread, a drink and a vegetable samosa. The drink was a bit small (the size of a small drink at KFC or McDonalds) but other than that I have to say I was quite impressed, Two quite generous spoonfuls of curry that must have had half a dozen or so pieces of chicken in each one, a load of rice and the naan bread is full size not one of those little mini ones. The curries were really tasty, the vindaloo was quite hot but not as hot as one from an Indian restaraunt, the tikka was delicious to the point the my OH was gutted she had got a Burger king instead of a curry and kept dunking her chips in my curry, the cheeky moo! There is a selection of about a dozen different curries on offer going from mild korma through madras, jalfrezi and up to vindaloo (although I didnt think the vindaloo was THAT hot) they also have samosas and extras you can buy, they also sell doner kebabs and rolls So all in all, I would recommend trying it if you are after something different to the normal KFC/Burger King etc. I will probably have one next time I go to lakeside as I dont think the KFC there is very good (and thats what I usually have) They had smaller basic curry + rice meals starting from £2.50 so you neednt spend a fortune to try it.

Portion sizes are good. Heaps of chilli, sour cream and cheese were served over my bratwurst and brioche. I'm not a good pork eater, but their 100% meet dog, made with a beef and pork mix, was tender, delicious and made on site with locally sourced meats. It's all locally sourced or made on-site in fact, even down the veggie hotdog. The beer selection is wide, bottles from all sorts of craft breweries (large and small), and the brother/owner who served me was hopeful to get some of the really local beers in soon. The chilled atmosphere meant I ended up chatting not only with the owners, but other customers as we ate, and I must say it was a great experience. 10/10
