Had average meal here, two days later noticed on my bank statement that they had charged my card TWICE for the same amount. Called my friend who also paid on card and the same had happened to him. Rang Bombay and was told they were TOO BUSY to speak to me and to ring back tomorrow. Rang back the next day and spoke to the manager. He called me a LIAR, and said "you bring your so called proof to me and ill show you my proof". Husband and I marched down there to show him my bank statement. Arrived and explained the situation, he kept answering his mobile phone whilst i was explaining to him and wasn't listening to what i was saying. He looked at the two transactions on my bank statement and said that it was nothing to do with him!! He said how do i know you haven't gone to another Bombay restaurant!! He then accused my friends who I dined with of stealing my card to pay for their own meals!!!! I also showed him my receipt to compare with his records. To which he started going through a massive box of paper receipts... no surprise he "couldn't find" my matching receipt from his records!! Manager was extremely RUDE, said i was lying and that it must be my friends stealing! He laughed in our faces and refused to take any responsibility. Never experienced anyone like him before. The other reviews on here also back up how rude he was. We ended up leaving after he refused refund and will now have to contact bank and hope that they refund. WATCH OUT if paying on card in here... they obviously are committing some sort of fraud or avoid at all costs. Theres way better Indian restaurants in Grays so would go to those instead and not risk it.

When we were there last night we were in a bi my group (11 people) and unfortunately the service was very slow but we were having a good time so it was so noticeable. I will be going back for sure.

I got a butter chicken as the guy said that's their best offering. OK fine, it's also probably the highest margin offering and the most standard and he'd have no idea I eat so much Indian food. Everything was so bland, no spice, no flavor, the curry was too liquidy. I would not come back even for their other options. I liked that it came with daal and rice and raita but nothing was any good. How can Indian food be made without any spice or flavor...

Okay, this was actually one of the better foods I ate in London. Came to Seven Dials Market and…read moredecided to try some Indian food for the first time in London. Compared to other ethnic foods I've had had, this one definitely is one of the better ones. Or maybe it's because I don't know Indian food well enough... I ordered the Paneer Butter Masala which I assumed it was just Butter Chicken but vegetarian and it was exactly what it was. I appreciate the tomato base of the curry and the fresh naan that went very well with it. I will say that it's not the most authentic out there as they served it with what looks like Mexican black beans and the rice was not jasmine rice as usual. It will definitely cure your Indian food craving though. Overall, not a bad meal at Seven Dials. I will say though that for the price I paid, it's quite pricey and not quite sure if it's worth it (-1 for that). But if I am in lack of food at Seven Dials Market, I will eat this again.
