Our bartenders at our wedding were AMAZING! We had two bartenders, and they absolutely kept the party going all night. They were so fun, energetic, and friendly, and our guests couldn't stop complimenting them! They took the initiative to figure out our signature drinks, batch everything themselves, and handled the bar like total pros. They were also fast, organized, personable, and made every interaction with our guests fun. They brought such great energy while still being incredibly professional. We are so grateful they were part of our wedding day and would recommend Shake it Up to anyone looking for bartenders who know how to serve great drinks and create great vibes! read more

AMAZING SERVICE! My wife and I recently booked Shake it up bartending for our wedding and we could not be happier with how it turned out. Extremely professional and efficient setting up all the way down to the clean up at the end. They have multiple packages you can choose from so it was nice because it gave us the ability to be flexible with exactly how we wanted our open bar to go. The bartender kept the energy up and made sure everyone was taken care of. HIGHLY recommend this service for your next event ! read more

SUB provided bartending service for our reception. Kevin was fantastic to work with. The quote they gave us was quick, fair, and very extensive. Kevin also helped us plan how much alcohol we needed. He was very responsive throughout the whole planning process. When the day came, our bartender was absolutely fantastic - he arrived on time, set up the display bar in a very appealing way, he was great interacting with the guests, and he made the drinks perfectly. I cannot recommend SUB bartending enough! read more

Shake It Up served at our wedding in March at the UVX Ranch in Cottonwood, AZ. Their professionalism, timeliness, and packages offered were spot on, paired with quick communication leading up to the date. We really appreciated all vendors working so seamlessly together in providing for the absolute perfect wedding day. It is highly recommended that they help make your special event just as spectacular. Thank you team! read more

Great service both before and during our event! Kevin was so responsive and the bartenders were prompt, professional and courteous!

The two bartenders that we had at our party of over 300 ROCKED it! Personality, professional and fast. Never a line! Communicated early so we didn't run out of anything! They will always be at our parties! Marie @ Equity Title Agency read more

We used Shake It Up for our wedding this past weekend and Donovan was the bartender. He did a wonderful job and everyone at the wedding commented on how great he was to interact with. In all of my communications with Kevin he was very friendly and informative. I highly recommend. read more

A few of my friends used Shake It Up for parties they hosted and I was impressed with the how professional, but not stuffy, the bartenders were. All the guests at these events had rave reviews. I decided to use them for the 30th birthday party I was throwing for my husband and his best friend. We were expecting about 30 people, so I wanted a bartender to set a somewhat upscale mood and reduce the stress on us as hosts. Booking was effortless and they worked with us to make sure we had a bartender that would mesh well with our guests. Daneel showed up on time and was outstanding! A true professional bartender, she even made a couple birthday shots for everyone based on the liquor we had and everyone raved at how good they were. I will not hesitate to use Shake It Up for the next party. read more

This was an awesome service. I now cannot have a party without having them! I am ruined! Everything was great with the service. They were responsive and did exactly as quoted. We had them bring a bar, mixers, and ice. It was perfect. We provided the alcohol from bev mo which helped reduce the price. Plus we can return what we didn't use. Stephen was our bartender and he was fantastic! He was personable and nice. He showed up on time and set up before the guests arrived. He was quick and efficient. All the guests loved Stephen. We will definitely use him again if we have another shin dig! Thanks guys! read more

Sam tended bar at my husband's 70th Birthday Party and wow-ed us all! Not only was she personable, she was also very creative with her drinks. She created a wonderful atmosphere around the bar which we really appreciated. Kevin was also a breeze to deal with as I was planning and setting up the event. He responded quickly to all my questions (and was very patient!) : )) Great choice! read more

Kevin from Shake It Up! is probably my new favorite person! He tended my wedding this past Friday and my guests were talking about him as much as the wedding as a whole! He did an AMAZING job handling the long lines and heavy drinkers! He was so much fun and just easy to talk to and communicate with even before the event itself. Please, please, PLEASE consider Kevin and Shake It Up for any Bartending needs!! read more

I have been using Shake It Up for years now. I am nothing but impressed each and every time. Kevin and Eric are partners and Kevin handles the incoming reservations. They are both awesome. If you ever need bartenders.... ask for Wes or Steve. You will literally find me somehow and thank me for this. They are phenomenal. Also Dave is great as well. I don't know where they find these people but I have used them for my home parties as well as our office client events and everyone is just in love with them. Price point is spot-on. Professionalism, class, great drinks, mixologists, proactive clean up, kindness...... You can not go wrong with SIU. I am in no way related to them....only a fangirl....lol Thank you Shake It Up for always making our events amazing. read more

We had the pleasure of working with Craig last night at an event, and he was an incredible bartender. The bar was an open bar, and he remembered everyone's drinks, had amazing customer service, and did a great job with no tip jar. Thank you so much for great experience! read more

We used Shake It Up (Chris, specifically) for my 40th birthday, and he was perfect for the event. Chris did a great job mixing the drinks on the menu we created. He kept up with a thirsty crowd all night (~ 35 people) with multi-ingredient cocktails (think black cherry manhattans, not rum and cokes)! He was very personable with our guests, yet unobtrusive. Arrived early to set up and his departure was not disruptive at all. Very communicative owner, and planning for the event was easy. Price was reasonable, and we will be using Shake It Up (and requesting Chris) for other medium-to-large parties we throw. Seriously, use them. We could not have been happier with how it turned out. read more

Less than 10 minutes after our daughter's wedding ceremony, the best man came running from the banquet hall to the church saying there was "somewhat of an emergency." The bartender needed ice! The father of the bride, in a full tuxedo and an outside temperature exceeding 100 degrees, had to leave his daughter's wedding to go buy 150 pounds of ice (it was in the contract that they would bring 150 lbs of ice!). As I entered the banquet hall, I saw the bartender alongside my brother-in-law, who had traveled to Arizona from Boston to be at his niece's wedding. I asked him why he was inside the bar, serving drinks, and he said the bartender needed help. Soon enough, we convinced the caterer to share their staff and cut my family loose to enjoy the wedding. What a fiasco! We paid nearly $650 (I sent the check in February, and it expired because they didn't cash it until June) to have a bartender serve drinks for 6 hours to 150 people, and bring along some soft drinks and water. We supplied all the booze. There were actually 170 people. Did 20 extra people make it that much harder to serve cold drinks? Two days later, I sent a disgruntled email to Eric Kelchlin, (the owner?) and he called me back, saying that the wedding ceremony had ended 40 minutes early and that made it difficult to be ready for the reception. I certainly hadn't been looking at my watch through my tears that hour of the day, but I don't see how it is possible that we were 40 minutes early! We had arranged for the bartender to be there at 3:30 pm, and the wedding was from 4:00-4:30 pm. My husband said that he saw the bartender arriving with a small amount of ice, as he and my daughter were entering the church to go down the aisle. Apparently, the bartender was late, or he would have had an hour to chill drinks. At best, the wedding ended only 15 minutes early. The night before the wedding, I called Mr. Kelchlin and spoke with him because I was concerned that the drinks would not be cold fast enough, and to tell him that this wedding was full of partiers! He assured me that they would get the drinks cold fast. They didn't bring any tubs or coolers, and used the ones on the premises instead. I understood that they were going to take care of this for us. Mr. Kelchlin also told me that we had an incredible amount of alcohol, more than he's ever seen for 170 guests. We had 10 cases each of 4 kinds of beer, 70 bottles of champagne, and 20 cases of wine (3 varieties), and we did have a lot left over. I don't understand how that mattered, when they just had to chill a few kinds continuously to serve the event. After my emailed complaint and our phone conversation, I received this email response from Mr. Kelchlin: "Hi Karen, again I'm sorry you are not satisfied with Rahul's service. I try very hard to make sure everyone's events run smoothly and unfortunately this may not have been the case with your event." He also offered $25 compensation for the ice, which I declined. In Rahul's defense, I asked him for a glass of Pinot Grigio and he said he didn't have any. I said, "I am the mother of the bride, and I bought it! It's right there," and I pointed to the unopened case of wine. From that point on, he remembered me and I didn't even have to ask for it. He poured it quickly with a smile and a nod. I liked him! Other than his apparent tardiness, we were happy with Rahul's service -- he was friendly and worked fast. Perhaps Mr. Kelchlin didn't tell Rahul I had been concerned about having lots of cold drinks ready at 4:30! read more

I used them at my wedding this past weekend. I could not have been happier with the bartender they sent. He very polite and energetic he seemed really enthused to be there. He even went as far to entertain some of the children. I was pleasantly surprised to see him carding people as well as cutting those who had to much off. He was very knowledgeable about his job and made some great drinks. I highly recommend shake it up to anyone looking for a bartender. read more

TOTALLY HAPPY. I threw a BBQ for about 40 people in my backyard. I'd never hired a professional bartender before so the experience was totally new for me. Kevin reviewed the options available and made it easy for me to choose the best service. It's not as easy as you might think. James the bartender arrived on time and had everything up and running quickly. He was polite and professional. He helped me set up a "toast" which I forgot to tell him about ahead of time. He didn't seem to mind at all. Not having to worry about guests getting drinks was well worth the price, which I thought was very fair anyway. Their Ice Service was well worth the cost. I would absolutely use Shake It Up! again. read more

I can't say enough about these guys. I worked with Eric to schedule the event, get help on the menu, and more and he was great. He totally understand what I was looking for and helped me work out exactly how to accomplish it. Then on the day of the event, Chris was our bartender. He KILLED IT!!! The guests loved him! He did such a good job in every possible way - from setting up his station, his interaction with the guests, mixing & serving a very unique menu, and helping me even create some drinks. I don't leave Yelp reviews........ever. But this was such a good experience I wanted to spread the word. Thank you Eric & Chris! You made our event! read more

Had this company at my wedding awhile back, because they were used at a wedding we attended and thought they did a good job. They assured us they assured us they would not run out of drinks beforehand. Well they did, during the drink hour before the reception. They were given money to get more. Then ran out AGAIN, and were given more money to get more. At the end of the ceremony they were cleaning up and could not find their tip jar. Proceeded to accuse the guest of stealing it, only for them to find the jar in the trash. They threw it away while cleaning up. Then the next few days while in Hawaii, my wife received calls from them asking for more money for the alcohol they had to purchase because they ran out.... Hopefully by now these ding dongs have their head on, regardless if they do or not I will never use them again and when asked for a recommendation I tell them who not to use! read more

I went through Shake It Up Bartending for my wedding on Sept. 15th 2014. The bartender, John, arrived on time and proceeded to insist all alcohol be moved to the bar area from the kitchen refrigerator on the opposite side of the room. Once this was done he had control over 36 bottles of wine, 18 bottles of champagne, 5 cases of beer and 8+ bottles of hard liquor. During the wedding, several family members and guests received poor service and a bad attitude from the bartender. We had less than 50 guests in attendance, and the bartender claimed he had to keep track of everyone's consumption as he was responsible for each person. He cut off one of my uncle's despite his sober state - some people have higher tolerance than others - and yet proceeded to get my groom so drunk he was vomiting in the backseat of the Just Married car almost an hour prior to when he was supposed to have last call. By the end of the night I and my husband left for our honeymoon and a few family members and bridal party members stayed behind to help clean up the venue and retrieve the remaining alcohol. Over 20+ bottles of wine and several bottles of hard liquor were unreturned to my aunt, whom received only 6 bottles of champagne back from the bartender. The owners of the venue verified seeing John box up the bar and leave - which I'm sure they assumed was just what he brought. I was concerned when I heard back from so many family members and close friends that they were mistreated and that by the end of the evening many were not only sober but disrespected. I checked with the other vendors and no one has any recollection of what might have happened to all the unaccounted for alcohol. As the bartender made it clear that he was in charge of the liquor - the only one with a professional license to serve by the end of the night - I feel it was his responsibility to account for the alcohol, or at least know where it was handed off to. When I called Eric to inform him of what happened, he did not seem to believe that his bartender would take the alcohol or that it was feasible that he could have taken two cases of wine and removed them to another location prior to returning the remaining mixers to the company - because no one in history has ever stolen something before. I felt that my concerns were brushed off and due to how long John has been with the company it seems unlikely he will receive "more training on how to attend his customers" or that any repercussions will occur. I recommend to anyone who has booked them that you inventory any alcohol you provide and have at least one sober person monitor where and when your liquor is served. I am not one to review so harshly, however, given the circumstances I felt this a necessity. read more

Very professional, when a couple of guests were beginning to get a little to drunk but still wanted to keep doing shots of Tequila, he gave them a mix of lime juice and something else with just touch of alcohol. Kept them in a great mood having fun but no falling down drunks or scene when someone got cut off. Everyone had a fantastic time. Thank you read more
