During the wedding the bartender that was servicing our event seemed annoyed that he was even there. We had multiple complaints from guests about his rude behavior. I wish I could give ten stars! Not only was it so easy to book the bartender and get any questions answered before the event, but the service the day of was over the top good. The party was a surprise disco party and our amazing bartender, Dwayne, showed up in an EPIC disco-themed jacket that really stole the show. He set up an awesome bar in my parent's backyard, made sure nobody's glass was ever empty, was professional, engaging and fun to chat with! We hired Hey Bartender for an outdoor get together. It was my husband's 4oth and there were less than 10 people there. But it seemed like the safest way to serve drinks. We didn't want everyone touching bottles, garnishes, etc. We reached out to Hey Bartender and Chad, the owner, was very responsive. I mentioned we were doing a 40th Fiesta and wanted to see if we could do a simple tequila tasting. He said he had the perfect bartender, Doug. He was right! Doug was great!! He was personable, knowledgable, funny. Everyone loved Doug! And he knew A TON about tequila. The tasting was perfect. We did pay the small amount extra for them to bring their own bar and I highly recommend it! Makes the bartender's job a lot easier. We would definitely hire Hey Bartender again. read more

We hired Hey Bartender for an outdoor corporate event and Chad was so awesome to work with. We just had a simple margarita bar set up, and they even brought last minute cocktail tables. The communication was clean, easy and no hassle. Christian was our bartender for the night and he was amazing! He showed up onsite exactly at the time expected, did his set up quickly and was ready to go when the guests arrived. He was so great with our client - made them feel relaxed and welcome. DO NOT RECOMMEND. We hired these folks for our son's wedding and they were horrible! Dwayne, the primary contact, was rude, unprofessional, disrespectful and very difficult to deal with. We were promised services that were not provided so our guests had to wait in a very long line for drinks. Stay away!! They got their money...this was all we could do to warn others. From start to finish, working with Hey, Bartender! was an amazing experience. Working with Chad was easy, and he was very thorough in helping guide us with the right package and helping us up to how much alcohol we should get for a party our size. Then for the actual event, starting in the morning, Elizabeth gave a heads up what to expect and helped us with some last-minute questions. Once she and Missy got to the venue, they were in go mode and were some of the best and most professional bartenders I've had at an event. There was never a long line at the bar, they complimented each other very well and all the guests were so happy. This is my second experience with Hey Bartender and it's been wonderful! Chad was the Bartender at both events l attended. Once at the Ice House and at the Standard Apartments. Chad crafted a special adult beverage each time, his personal signature and touch. I had his outstanding sangria and secret cocktail. While his cocktail looked like water it tasted unbelievably good! Penciled us in, just in case, was totally there to help. This small business is AMAZING!! The prices that Chad charges are MORE than fair, you get a hell of a lot more than what you pay for!! These guys came in our package so we had no choice, and had never even met them before the night of our wedding. First of all, I accidentally forgot my driver's license in my hotel room and the guy was giving me such a hard time almost wouldn't serve me. (Sorry I am the Bride, had a few other things on my mind. Plus I am 25 didn't think it was going to be an issue at MY wedding.) Second of all, they were jerks! I had at least 5 different guests mention to me that our wedding was absolutely perfect, except the bartenders were rude. My family is a big fan of whiskey on the rocks. We are not the type to mix soda in with our perfectly good liquor. Our bartenders REFUSED to pour a drink straight up. It's not even like my guests were crazy and out of control! I mean I can understand if people were getting sloppy ordering shots shots shots. But this was NOT the case. This was at the very BEGINNING of the night! The last straw was me, standing up at the bar for at least 2 minutes before either of them even looked over to me! THE BRIDE! While waiting for a drink I overheard a nasty remark one of them made about MY father-in-law coming behind the bar to ask for a drink. HE PAID FOR ALL THE ALCOHOL! Have some respect. As far as I am concerned these guys do not deserve to work ANY wedding ever. read more

For the most part the bartender did what he was supposed to in that drinks were served. The problem I had was in his poor attitude. The bartender was seriously rude and condescending to my groomsman, disrespectful to my sister when simply asked if he had a certain kind of soda and was overheard by guests bad mouthing the beer we provided, saying it was "cheap". My wife and I put so much hard work and spent so much of our money doing everything we could to provide an amazing experience for my guests and was really bothered to be so criticized by someone who's supposed to be there to make it a better experience for everyone. By the end of the night I did my best to put it behind me and let it go as best I could. Several days later I replied to a request by Hey Bartender to do an anonymous survey and my worst criticism was simply that the bartender needs to work on his customer service and watch how he talks to people. Two weeks later I received the most unprofessional, back handed "apology" email I've ever read from Chad, the owner of Hey Bartender, lashing out about how if it had been him at my wedding he would have thrown my groomsman off the property and that we should be grateful to the bartender. Never once did Chad address the issue of the disrespect and poor customer service which was the single issue that we had. I'm amazed that he's in the customer service industry! So, if you don't mind being patronized and will stand in line and not ask to be shown any respect whatsoever, than by all means, hire Chad Zaneis and Hey Bartender. Good luck... read more

I used Hey, Bartender! for my wedding this past weekend, and I cannot recommend them enough! First, the price is great and the deposit to hold your date is very minimal. We initially thought we would just want to buy our own alcohol and have someone serve it, but Hey, Bartender! had extremely reasonable prices for their open bar packages that include beer, wine, and liquor, especially since it included all mixers, ice, garnishes, cups, etc. They also had packages for every budget. They offer to serve your own alcohol, beer and wine only packages, all the way up to top-shelf liquor packages. Plus, they are fully licensed and insured. Second, they are incredibly responsive. From the time I submitted info for a quote, to the week before the wedding, they responded to every email within a few hours. Most importantly, the bartender we had rocked! He was timely, super friendly, and quick at serving up drinks. I had several guests compliment our bartender. He even came up to my husband and I after we arrived at the reception to get our drink order since we were being swamped by guests trying to say "hi." After we booked Hey, Bartender!, I realized I had been to two other events they worked at. The bartenders at those events were top-notch as well. We hired Hey Bartender! after meeting two of their employees at a venue's open house event, about one year out from our Wedding Day. We went with 2 bartenders for our event of about 120 people attending, and got their basic services as we were providing alcohol and barware ourselves. Chad was wonderfully responsive and we felt the price we paid was reasonable and well worth it. The bartenders that were provided were amazing from what our guests have told us and we're very happy to have gone with them I give them 4 stars only because we had requested two specific employees - that we had spoken with at the open house - from the beginning, a year out from the event date, and didn't find out that they were not going to be working our event until the day of. In defense of Hey Bartender! they did specify, multiple times to us, that their policy on requests is "Certain Bartenders may be requested but not guaranteed as subject to our needs to staff multiple events on the same date and subject to individual Bartenders' availability.", and the bartenders we requested were a husband and wife out of town with their children. We were simply disappointed at not being informed until the day-of. read more
