We've used Hey Bartender now for a couple events (work and personal). Each time they have been great. This last weekend we had Christian, he was early for set up and was ready for the first guests to arrive. Best service ever! Always on time, always friendly, and always professional! They called early the day of the event to confirm arrival times verify all information and see if there was anything else needed, relieved a lot stress! Showed up on time, dressed well, and set up quickly! Guests absolutely loved them, there was never an empty cup, and they helped in other areas walking around taking plates and refilling drinks. We had Christian as our bartender on Saturday night in our home for a birthday celebration. We thought having the bar help would be a special treat for our guests as well as for ourselves. We hired Hey Bartender for a private dinner for 100 people. Our bartender was John, who checked in earlier in the day to go over the details, showed up on time and fully prepared. He was very professional, engaging with our guests, cleaned up, put away what we no longer needed for the night and left out what he thought we would continue to use. Hey, Bartender! was our selected bar service for my son's wedding. They not only did not follow directions (prior to wedding given to them verbally and in writing to review what should be done) but they refused service to my sons - the groom and his bestman. We gave the bartenders, Christian and Carrie, two large bottles of Jack Daniels prior to the wedding with instructions (written & verbal) to serve the Jack along with Coke or Diet Coke to the groom, groomsmen, and any cousins/friends that they brought up to the bar with them. Carrie put one bottle of Jack with the Coke directly behind the bar and the other bottle behind their serving area where they had storage items. As Carrie put the Jack away, Christian asked me how he'd know if they were groomsmen, and I said if they weren't wearing their black suit jacket with a boutonniere, then he should err on the side of accepting them as groomsmen. During the evening several people requested Jack, including my sons, and each time Christian turned them away. In one specific case, my son and another groomsman asked for a shot of Jack, and Christian informed them that he didn't serve shots, but he did not tell them he could serve them Jack and Coke. He was rude and unprofessional. At the end of the evening when they left, they piled all the leftover alcohol and bar supplies we had provided near the loading area. Everything except the Jack. They kept the Jack Daniels and when I called them about it, Christian said he didn't know what had happened to it, and he hadn't seen it at the end of the evening. I texted their boss Chad and asked him to check into it, and he later replied that Christian told him there had never been any Jack Daniels at the reception - a blatant lie. We would NEVER recommend this bar service for any function. read more

We paid a $500 tip for two bartenders to handle our 225 person wedding so our guests would not have to tip. I spoke to the owner of Hey Bartender - Chad - specifically about this - `NO TIPPING - I WILL PAY A $500 GENEROUS TIP. I personally spoke to both bartenders before the wedding began NO TIPPING ALLOWED - I AM PAYING $500 FOR YOUR TIP. In the few days that followed, guests told me they asked the bartenders where the tip jar was and the bartender said it's behind the bar over here. They then hustled my guests for tips throughout the night and then took my $500 at the end of the night. VERY UNETHICAL. In addition, they were not set up properly by the time the wedding began. The lines for drinks were unacceptably long for the first hour and 1/2, due to their poor preparation. They provided poor service, a bad attitude from one of the bartenders and they essentially stole from my guests...and me. Do not use Hey Bartender. I told the wedding venue that hired them as part of our wedding package about what had happened and that I wanted my $500 tip back, since they double dipped, and of course Hey Bartender refused. I hired Hey, Bartender! to bartend at my wedding and the company sent Jasper. Not only was Jasper prompt and quick to set up, but he happily performed duties and helped in areas that in no way pertained to bartending. Our food caterer made several errors and Jasper jumped right in to help with food setup (guests actually thought he worked for the caterer!) and he was also instrumental in helping clean up at the end of the night, actually telling my family, "I'm here to help with anything you might need me for." He also set aside a bottle of my favorite wine for my new husband and I to take with us that night. As the bride, hearing about the issues we had with our food, I was SO grateful to know how helpful Jasper had been throughout the night in every capacity. Furthermore, as a company, the owner, Chad, was always very quick to get back to us and to thoroughly answer any questions we had. 100% recommend, and we're letting our venue know to keep Hey, Bartender! on their shortlist as well. read more

Only complaint of my wedding by guests were the bartenders. Completely unprofessional and so rude to everyone including bridal party. I could go into detail but I don't even want to waste my time. Wish I would have known how unprofessional they are. They were even caught complaining and talking poorly about MY wedding and some guests LOUDLY outside in the parking lot. Very Satisfied! Recently used them for my wedding. Purchased the non-alcoholic package and brought our own beer, wine, spirits. The two bartenders were very professional AND fun! They had a great time but knew when to cut off the guests that went a bit overboard :) The pricing was competitive. The customer service was great leading up to event as well with prompt email and phone communication. Only word of caution is they don't provide drinking water before event starts so bring extra! read more

Never again. Just had my wedding with Hey, Bartender! and it wasn't the most pleasant experience. First of all, communication was not on point: we both spend four entire days trying to call and email to PAY THEM MONEY the week of the wedding leaving a total of four voicemails until we finally heard from them. Second, CHRISTIAN complained about their placement at the venue openly in front of a few of our guests, and they were very ill prepared to set up when they arrived. ********RED FLAG HERE********: upon arrival, CHRISTIAN had to leave a voicemail with the contact he was provided, and proceeded to vocally and literally say, "I had to leave a voicemail on some dumb**s' phone." That person happened to be the bride's father, who overheard that comment and almost kicked him out of the wedding because of such a rude comment and poor attitude. Their lack of professionalism and failure to be prepared has landed them this awful review. We will NEVER give Hey, Bartender! our business ever again, nor recommend them to anyone we even slightly care about! read more
