The reasons for 3 stars are: Not enough staff: we weren't greeted at all and even when the worker finally came to the register after waiting almost 10 minutes- she just stared at us blankly. She wasn't friendly, at all. She seemed really unhappy to be there and was unnecessarily cold. The restaurant looks like it's under construction. There's a line of metal poles lined around the inside windows that looks like it's meant to hold an L shaped counter- but no counter. There was sauce and crumbs on tables and chairs. Way more effort should be put into their customer service and the dining room atmosphere. Finally, the price! $40 for two combos at a fast food restaurant is insane. We liked the burgers well enough that we will probably come back but with these prices it won't be more than 1 or 2 times per year. Chilis and Applebees both have decent burgers for half the price and they have cocktails and actual Servers who smile and act like they like their jobs.

Found this place on Yelp while going out for a drive and decided to give it a try. Place is in an older industrial area with lots of pop-up food carts and grills. Drove up and we were happy to see that the place was freshly painted and very clean. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Let them know that this was our first time there and they let us know that the double bacon cheeseburger was the most popular item on the menu. We also got an order of onion rings and a kids meal for the babes. Asked if they had any thousand island for the burger and they actually made us thousand island which was so nice and unexpected! 5 stars for the bacon double cheeseburger 5 stars for the extra crunchy onion rings 4 stars for the fries that were undercooked 3 stars for the kids burger which had mustard instead of the requested mayo Lemonade tasted like Countrytime and is made strong so you can enjoy it longer with ice if you're like me and drink it slowly. I loved the burger, it was fresh, thin and crispy with no grizzle. Next time I'll ask for extra lettuce and tomato which were light. For families, they have a great deal with four cheeseburgers, four fries and four drinks for $40! Prices are the same as getting a combo from a fast food joint. I'd much rather go here and eat fresh food made to order.

There was a mix up with our order but it was sorted out. The philly cheese steak 9/10 was the best!!! We ordered the bacon double 7/10, double cheeseburger 7/10, philly cheesesteak fries 9/10. Mango milkshake I'll give a 5/10. Oreo Milkshake for taste a 6/10 and vanilla milk shake was 5/10. If we come back to stockton I would try other items on the menu.

It is essentially chicken strips in a sandwich. So goood!good!! My sister and other family members got burgers and they liked them too. Fruity pebbles milkshake was good, a bit sweet but good. I would definitely go back there when I go to Stockton. Parking is not an issue. There is plenty.

This means I'll need to find a place to eat dinner by myself and Burnies hit my radar. Walking in around 7pm on a Wednesday, the place was empty then while I was scanning the menu on the wall the counter person comes out from the back to greet me and explain the menu. I decide on a double smash burger ($12.99) and half size of Burnies Fries ($9.99) with a "can" of coke. There's no fountain service for their drinks here; it's not a deal breaker but would have been nice to easily grab a refill while eating this much food dining in! The person did also tell me their Burnie sauce is like "Cane" Sauce which I do like. As I waited for my food, several more customers flowed in & out which made me happy. After receiving my food, the first bite of the burger was juicy but their sauce was overly sweet and having the sauce on the fries too made my 1st experience disappointing. I had to eat around the fries that had sauce on it and I could not remove the sauce from the bun since it was soft and soaked the sauce in already. *So for first timers, I would suggest getting the Burnie sauce on the side to determine if the sauce is to your liking. There are unique flavored shakes (with cereal) available but hopefully that's enough for me to return and give them a try

Sally always amazes us with some new colorful yummy design plating twist that just makes me sigh with the wonderful aesthetics as my mouth waters in anticipation of eating it. This is for service only. I didn't get a chance to try the food…read more It's a Friday night, and my wife and I are rushing to get to Nordic Bites from the Tracy area. It's about a 40 minute drive, but we didn't mind because the food looked good in Facebook Reels. We arrive around 7:55 pm, and we're hoping to be seated quickly because their Yelp record says they close at 8:30 pm. As we stood at the front of the restaurant, we saw there was one couple dining on the left and one dining on the right. Not overly busy. A young woman approached us. I happily say, "Two for dinner, please." She says sorry but the kitchen closes at 8 pm. My wife looks at her watch, and it's 7:58 pm. I tell her we're from Tracy and we drove a while to get there. She half chuckles and says, "The kitchen closes at 8, but you can stay for drinks." Uhhh no, we wanted dinner. So, we tell her it's not 8 pm yet, and she looks half heartedly towards the kitchen, and tells us, "You can come early tomorrow". My wife thought she sounded condescending. I'd tend to agree because she was still chuckling under her breath. She didn't try to check with the kitchen to see if they'd seat us. She didn't try to check with the kitchen to see if we could place an order to go. She made a unilateral decision. And because she seemed more like she wanted to shoo us from the place rather show any modicum of empathy, I am now swearing off this restaurant. It's tough to win new, loyal customers. It's easy to lose them. And that's what the young lady did tonight - she left a bad taste in our mouth even though we didn't even taste their food. And guess what? If any of our friends or family ask about Nordic Bites, you can be sure I'll emphasize the service we never received. A word to the owners - consider posting that your kitchen closes 30 minutes before your restaurant closes on Yelp. Otherwise, you surely will have other disappointed guests, like me and my wife, who may turn into detractors rather than loyal customers that are critical to building your business. Word of mouth travels fast.
