Shai is THE best stylist in Broward hands down! Not only does he do exactly what you want, when allowed to do what he does as an artist, his work is second to none. Also, I think we all know how hard it is to find a good colorist. Shai is absolutely top tier. Consider yourself lucky to be in his chair! The other reviews here that are one star are ALL based on the front desk customer service which most definitely needs to be addressed, but is also in NO WAY A REFLECTION OF THE ARTISTS IN THIS long time Broward staple salon. Also, if you CHOOSE TO GET EXTENSIONS, you have to realize there IS a risk of some breakage. I went to one of the top extension stylists in NYC and literally half of my hair broke off over a few months. You need to be aware of the risks involved and not blame the stylist if your hair is affected because it likely WILL get a bit damaged. Apart from that, if you can get past a wait (even if you have a scheduled appointment), you will be so glad you did. Also, always remember, if you are having to wait for Shai, it's because he is working hard to perfect the person before you. You also want the same special attention that they are getting, so be patient and be happy to know he will give you the same treatment. His prices are comparable to prices elsewhere. He may be slightly higher, but you a paying for his experience, expertise and BEAUTIFUL work. It is worth every penny too. To top it off, you couldn't meet a nicer guy! Absolutely horrible!!!! Definitely took advantage of me and my hair. My hair was cut so bad before extensions were put in that I lost all volume in my hair Once I took that extensions out myself from how badly they where put in. I am trying everything in my power to get my hair back to its long beautiful length. He also put so many extensions in my hair that my hair was being pulled and didn't even layer them correctly. This place left me sad, upset, and scared. I hope my hair is back to normal soon but it's been over 6 months and can't remember the last time I wore my hair down. My friend booked the two of us for haircuts with Shai himself. I never got a haircut before coming here, but I let him do what he wanted and it turned out amazing. I love Shai. The cut was hell of expensive though! about $100 =O woah. I DO NOT just throw my money around like that, but believe me... Shai is good. While I won t pay more than $50 anywhere else, I would gladly still shell out the $100 for Shai, but I haven't been able to book him during any of my breaks from college since =/ read more

I am from the San Francisco bay area, and had to stay in Florida longer than expected. My hair was out there and needed a good color and cut. I walked in (knowing full well that you cannot do that but I did). I did wait, but Shai did my color and hair and it was absolutely amazing. He went for it too. Bold and different. Next day I had a pedicure and manicure with Lihi (again I was a mess having been on the road for a while) and she out did herself. Both lovely people and a lovely salon. Do make an appointment though because they are busy. I do a lot of public speaking and having someone like that to do the job they did without knowing me, was wonderful. Thank you. This place has worst customer service. Unfortunately, I cannot use a gift certificate I won at the Shoah 5k walk for Holocaust Remembrance. To begin with, calling is useless because they have two salons and I couldn't understand what their recording said. When I did speak with someone, it sounded like she couldn't be bothered talking to me and didn't know the prices. She told me she was going to call me back (I'm not sure why) and never did. I received a confirmation text the next day with the wrong time. I had to call again and this time the lady that answered also had an attitude. I explained it and was told the time I had was already booked. No apology and she asked if I was coming in at the time they decided on. No way am I going somewhere so rude and condescending. I really hope the charity never uses this place again for raffle prizes! read more

My mom swears by this place so I came into get my hair done by Shai himself (who also does her hair). I was so unfortunate to receive a mullet cut and the exact opposite hair color that I asked for. I cried for days and it took moths for the damage to be undone....I may as well have used the flow-be for a better cut. I also got my eyebrows waxed here (also mom's find) and Yasmil (Not good with names, this is about as close as I can get) does a GREAT job...for $25. My eyebrows have never looked nicer. read more

I've been going to Shai for about 2 years. My hair has NEVER looked better in my entire life! His haircuts are the best! Recently boarding a plane, the flight attendant stopped to tell my how much she loved my highlights. I constantly get compliments on my hair. The cut is so good that it is easy to maintain the good look..He works well with hair of any length & always has smiling happy customers leaving his salon. I have been coming to cut my hair and paint my highlights with Shai for almost 4 years and he is the excelent!! He has an amazing talent to make you look at your best!! I always let him decide how I should have my hair cut and he does an excellent job!! I get a lot of compliments thanks to him!! He really knows how to pick the exact color that will make my hair look shiny, natural and modern!! He is very kind and makes you feel very comfortable. While they did do a good job they did not take appointment times seriously. They got mad when we complained that they were nearly 45 mins late taking us. Once again they did do a good job but they we're extremely rude when we voiced how we felt about being late. We said it was extremely unprofessional that they did not have enough to people to wash and dry those who had a appointment at the time. They said this is our business and we can do what we want.
