I had an absolutely terrible experience with this dental office. I was scheduled for a wisdom tooth…read moreremoval on Wednesday, 2/12/25, after confirming with the office that the date was available. I went through the trouble of arranging time off work, speaking to HR, and making childcare arrangements, only for them to completely mishandle my appointment.
After initially assuring me that I was booked, they later claimed they needed "medical approval" and then told me that my appointment was no longer available--despite previously promising me the slot. Instead of taking responsibility for their mistake, they offered to "squeeze me in" on Friday as if my severe pain and prior arrangements were an afterthought.
To make matters worse, on Wednesday at 12:28 PM, they called to say they could fit me in if someone canceled--the very same call where they informed me that my Medi-Cal had finally been approved. This news raised my hopes, making me think I'd finally get the care I desperately needed, only for them to disappoint me yet again. When I followed up at 2 PM, I was told they had already closed early because a patient canceled--meaning they chose to close early rather than honor their word and fit me in.
The staff was dismissive, unprofessional, and completely lacking in basic communication skills. When I voiced my frustration, the male assistant actually said, "What's the point?" and sarcastically asked if I would "prefer to see someone else." Instead of taking any responsibility for their disorganization, he was rude and dismissive.
Then, I received an additional call from a different female receptionist, who was even more disrespectful and biased. I couldn't help but feel that the only reason she followed up was because I had told the male assistant that I felt the need to be leaving a very negative review and that my experience wouldn't go unheard. Rather than listening to my concerns, she was solely focused on defending the office's actions. At one point, she even began a condescending sentence with, "Why would you think that--" before I hung up, completely fed up with their lack of professionalism and common sense.
On top of everything, I couldn't shake the feeling that I was completely overlooked and dismissed by this office--both because of my age and because I have Medi-Cal rather than a higher-tier private insurance. The lack of urgency, the dismissive tone, and the way I was treated made it more and more likely that they did not value me as a patient the same way they likely would someone with a different insurance provider.
This office wasted nearly a week of my time, cost me work hours, and left me in excruciating pain due to their complete lack of organization and professionalism. If you value your time, your health, and being treated with basic respect, stay far away from this place.
