They also said they couldn't reschedule at that time. What made things worse is when we called back with Medi-Cal on the line, they gave a completely different reason, saying the dentist had a family emergency. They couldn't even keep their story straight. This level of disorganization, lack of communication, and inconsistency is unacceptable--especially when patients are waiting months for necessary care. I recently had such a bad toothache that the right side of my face was going numb, I was sleeping less than one hour per night and I could not drink ANYTHING for over five days. I was in denial, avoided visiting the dentist and took Tylenol so often as though I was eating M & M's thinking the pain would somehow go away. With that in mind, I put on my, "big boy pants" and visited my dentist to find out what the heck was going on with my tooth. Upon my arrival, i was welcomed back by the entire staff with warm smiles and greetings. The staff here are truly friendly, welcoming and professional. In less than three minutes of my arrival, I was lying on a dental chair awaiting the Dr. Yoon, my dentist. Dr. Yoon has this way of calming me down and getting me to relax immediately as she knows that my anxiety level is always high as soon as I step foot into her office. This visit was no different. Dr. Yoon examined me, had X-rays taken and immediately discovered an issue which would require the dreaded root canal. Due to my time schedule limitations, I made an appointment for a few days later and returned. At my next dental appointment, Dr. Yoon discovered that I had a fractured nerve and that this was causing a great deal of inflammation and was the source of my pain and numbness. Dr Yoon and her staff immediately got to work and in less than two hours, It was all done. The pain, numbness and my anxiety were gone. Wow! It felt GREAT to be painless once again. I have to return in two weeks for a permanent crown on the repaired tooth but the anxiety is no longer there and I am actually looking forward to visiting the best dentist and staff in the world. He explained everything to me clearly and made sure I got all that I needed. I also received a cleaning, and the hygienist was amazing - very professional, there was so much work to be done, and so my respect has grown for all dental staff. Even if there was some pain during the cleaning, I knew she knew what she was doing and it was never unbearable. Just need to trust others' expertise as they're just trying to help, and let them do their job comfortably. The staff and front desk are all very genuine and warm - perfect for dentist dodgers like me. I will continue going back regularly for cleanings.

I decided to schedule the procedure and I was very pleased to be scheduled in pretty quickly. They have the option of super early appts (7am) which was really great for my schedule. The morning of the procedure everything went as planned with no delays. I was prescribed pain meds and he called me that same day in the late evening to check in and see how I was doing. I missed the call but I appreciated the message. I had some concerns about some pain I was feeling several days after and I was able to email in some pictures for him to take a look at and see if things looked normal. I was relieved to hear back and I was able to get a refill for meds. All in all the experience was very pleasant and I can see why this location has so many 5 stars. I was very happy it was in network too!

I'm not some expert on frequenting oral surgeons, but Dr. Adamous effortlessly put my anxiety to…read moreease. Everything was explained in detail and he answered all my questions. I needed 3 impacted wisdom teeth out and 1 that was slightly erupted. Now if I was a kid and got this done, I wouldn't even bat an eye. But since I'm older now, in my 40s, I understand that with an increase in age comes an increase in risks. He explained all the risks and I still felt very comfortable proceeding. IV sedation was the chosen method of anesthesia. Didn't feel anything honestly. Once the drugs started, probably within 3 mins I was out. Not sure if I was actually sleeping with my eyes closed or maybe they were open and I didn't know what was going on. In any case, I don't remember anything and when I came to, it felt like it was maybe 5-10 mins that had passed. It was quite surreal tbh, and I would recommend anyone doing this procedure to do IV sedation. I think general would be overkill (and more expensive), but that's just my opinion. The procedure went by so quick! I did feel a little out of it after but there was absolutely no pain or discomfort. I will be doing a follow up in 2 weeks to ensure my recovery is going well and the wounds are healing properly. I had a consultation with a different dentist, but I felt a a bit uneasy about the treatment plan they suggested, so I wanted to get a second opinion from an oral surgeon. I came across Dr. Choyee's practice while searching for oral surgeons that accepted Delta Dental PPO and found positive reviews. Upon calling his office, I was grateful that they had availability later that week for a consultation & same day extraction. Even starting from the phone call, I already felt more at ease. The receptionists were all very knowledgeable and helped explain how my insurance would be applied and other things to expect. The day of the extraction, I was at the office for an hour in total (consultation + extraction). After taking a quick panoramic x-ray, I decided to go with local anesthesia and only felt mild pressure during the procedure. No stitches were needed and I was sent home with gauze & instructions to pickup a mouthwash from my local pharmacy. Overall, Dr. Choyee and his staff were kind, thorough, and made the process a lot less painless than anticipated.
