I had surgery with him in 2026, and as a nurse, I have a very high standard for care. Dr. MacGill has exceeded every single expectation and I have never had a single problem with him. Here is what makes him so extraordinary:He Truly Listens: He completely respects my background as a nurse and values my thoughts. He listens closely instead of acting like he knows everything. He Never Rushes: I have experienced other doctors who keep one eye on their watch and run out in minutes. Dr. MacGill never does this. He takes his time in the office.Incredible Visual Explanations: He pulls up x-rays and maps out your care point by point. It is the most thorough explanation I've ever received from a provider.Collaborative Choices: After explaining everything, he always asks, "Do you have any questions? Do you understand everything and do you agree?" He takes your input into deep consideration and will gladly walk you through second options so you can choose your path together.Incredible Emergency Communication: He truly goes above and beyond in critical moments. When an urgent issue came up regarding my lab results, he didn't have a staff member make a routine call--Dr. MacGill called me immediately himself. He clearly explained why I needed to return to the emergency room for further care, and instead of telling me how I should feel, he sincerely asked, "How are you feeling? What is your pain level?"Diligent Office Staff: His staff is wonderful. They handled all of my employment and medical paperwork perfectly, with zero hassle or questions.Dr. MacGill takes incredible pride in his patients and his work. You are in the absolute right place if you choose him!

He told me it was what he did everyday, I would be out of pain and back to working as a dental assistant within a few months. Long story short, I was in more pain after the fusion at L5/S1. Post-Op pain was more than I ever experienced. This was with taking 2 - 10/375 mg Oxycodone, every 4 hrs, and time release Oxycotin every 12 hours. Less than a week after surgery, I felt a POP in my leg, I couldn't walk, there was a huge hard lump on the side of my hip, and the sharp, burning pain had me screaming! Dr. S. told me that my IT BAND POPPED, and he expected that to happen. I requested my records... I was told, what records? FF 3 years, after the screws placed had all broken, and my Coxic bone was vertically cracked. I went to Spine Instatute at Emory University and had an appointment scheduled at Stanford Univ. After looking at Pr-Op MRI, the surgeon at Empory told me the HE would never had done surgery on me from the beginning, nor did he feel comfortable fixing this mess. I finally found a well known Surgeon at Miami University. He operated from the back to clean up and replace the hardware. Then went through my abdomen, taking out my guts, to fuse from the front of the spine. Yes, the hardware was fixed, but the nerve damage was done and the pain has never gone away. My Neurologist took over my monthly pain management, still today in 2026.

If I were Brandy, who runs his office Alone, and excellentes I might add, I would have left there years ago. He treats her the same. No respect! What you see in front of you is a true narcissisme! I know this because I was his patiente for 10 years! Never out of pain but the conversation was sometimes interesting. They say what goes around comes around! He used to be an anesthésie. Seems he choose the easier part of his "degree". He is the only "doctor" I know who you can get an appointment with any time. Please don't be fooled by his "what you want to here". You too could loose 10 years of your life being in severe pain because he will never raise your prescription. He triés to tell you it's all in your head. If you relax you will feel better. It's all bull!!! He should go back to the country he is from and throw his bull around there! There are no words to truly express what a mistake it will be if you trust this man

After suffering with persistent pain for years, I can confidently say that VIP Pain Management…read morechanged my life. I had tried everything--physical therapy, multiple medications, and lifestyle adjustments--but the pain from my sciatica and bursitis simply would not let up. It was daily, constant, and exhausting. Beyond the physical limitations, it began affecting my mood, my relationships, and honestly, who I was as a person. When I was referred to pain management, Dr. Paul Rodriguez's name kept coming up over and over again. I was told he's the doctor doctors go to--and now I understand why. From the very first phone call, the experience was seamless. The office sent all paperwork ahead of time, which I was able to complete and return before my appointment (huge time-saver). If you prefer to do it in-office, that option is there too. The staff is truly wonderful--kind, knowledgeable, accommodating, and genuinely invested in making you feel comfortable and safe. And then there's Dr. Rodriguez. Some people just radiate calm, confidence, and positivity--and he is absolutely one of them. He is thorough, highly knowledgeable, patient, and incredibly reassuring. He asks questions, explains everything clearly, and never makes you feel rushed or dismissed. I felt listened to, respected, and treated like a human being--not just another patient. I received the treatment I needed the very same day. A couple of days, some ice, and... I am pain-free. Truly pain-free. There's a spring in my step again. My husband says my entire demeanor has changed. I wake up refreshed, energized, and ready to take on the day. I can walk, bend, move--and most importantly, I'm happy. After living with pain for so long, you forget just how joyful a pain-free life can be. Surgery is always a last resort at this practice, which I deeply appreciate. The care here is thoughtful, conservative, and centered around real quality-of-life improvement. There is truly no price for how I feel right now. I cannot thank Dr. Rodriguez and the entire VIP Pain Management team enough. If you are living with chronic pain and feel like you've run out of options--this is the place!
