Overpriced breakfast burritos. If you want one, the basic starts at $12. Nothing in the preparation or Ingredients makes this burrito worth the price. The o ions though were good.

This place will always be one of my favorites in Scottsdale and I will miss it. Especially the crispy beef tacos at 7AM. Something about that just made me so happy. Service was always quick and they were always so nice. Prices were always reasonable. I never ate in but instead ordered to go or had it delivered. Would definitely recommend.

    GRILLED CHICKEN QUESADILLA*

Dios mio! So much food! I over ordered again and regret nothing. Generous portions. I ordered a shredded beef taco (crispy perfection) and a chicken quesadilla. I forced myself to finish half. Both items were ready very quickly and incredibly hot (temperature wise). Taco was crispy, the mild salsa was very flavorful. Quesadilla was filled with cheese, refried beans and chicken. Sour cream and guac on the side with pico. So glad I stopped here, what a treat. Would definitely come back.

There was five of us and there was plenty of seating. Outside too which will be nice for the spring weather. The inside is clean and tables are nicely spread out. Bathroom was clean too. We ordered Carne Asada w/red Chile Burrito, two taco combo, quesadilla with Carne Asada & street tacos. Food is good and the portions are pretty filling! I took half the burrito home and the quesadilla. They'll be perfect for later. We'll be back to try their sweet treats!

    Extra tortilla for $0.69

Delicious breakfast burrito this morning from @senortaco.scottsdale right off the 101 and Pima. The tortilla was fresh and this thing came out steaming hot. Literally the size of my hand and packed with goodies. Went w the build your own with eggs, hash browns, cheese and sausage. Others I heard ordering got the standard breakfast burrito which I'll prob try next time. Nice interior seating with a few outdoor tables also. I wasn't a fan of the mild sauce. Had a unique flavor that just wasn't for me. However, the diablo sauce was . Great flavor and nice spice level. Also had some consistency so I could pour it on each bite. Burrito came in at $10.99 and we made this a combo with rice and beans for $3.99 more. Add on a few extra super huge tortillas for $0.69 each and we had more than enough to feed the three of us. Thought it was pretty good value for the quantity. Stop in and give this place a try. I'll def be visiting again to try some other menu items!!

Second time here and we are excited to eat the pork street tacos. We ordered a few other things and will let you know how it goes! Yeah... it's good!

Found this place from other Yelpers. We ordered at the counter and they brought us our food. I ordered the rolled hard shell shredded beef tacos with a side of Mexican rice. The tacos were covered with guacamole and cheese and amazingly delicious! The Mexican rice was flavorful and very delicious! Yelp has a free 24oz beverage when you check in. Everyone else in our group enjoyed their meal as well!

    Californian burrito
    Leanne M.

I would have given a 3-4 star rating, but the extreme salty meat in the bowl reduced the rating. The Californian burrito was tasty. The fries add that extra delight to the first bite The carne asada bowl was inedible. It was so salty. . I added lettuce to try and reduce the saltiness. Did not work. I had my friend taste it also and they could not eat it. Their tolerance for salty things is pretty high The rolled tacos were good. The crunch was okay, except in the places where the guacamole' touched the taco. Suggestion would be to order it on the side

    Chicken Baja bowl with salsa

Decided to try Señor taco since it was a new kid in town. It is located on the Southeast corner of Scottsdale Road and Pinnacle Peak. It is in a shopping mall slightly south of Sprouts foods. We both decided on the chicken Baja bowl. Staff wore masks and gloves and are friendly. You can either dine in or take out. They also have a drive-through as well as tables outside. Service is quick and one of the staff brought my takeout food to me. We thought the chicken was a little salty. The bowl is ample and I had leftovers. The guacamole is a nice touch.

Senor Taco is a very nice, clean restaurant with nice decor and ambience. The counter lady, Angela, was very nice. My breakfast burrito with ALOT of eggs, cheese, potatoes was HUGE and top ten best I ever had. I had to leave some for another meal later. It was piping hot, super fresh and delicious. The condiment bar is really nice too with a variety of salsas and pickled veges. For dessert, my filled churro was great and the size of 2 churros from other places. There is ample parking in the large shopping center lot and Walmart across the way. Highly recommended.

GRILLED CHICKEN BREAST CHIPOTLE BURRITO 3.9/5. Enjoyable
    JC K.

3.9/5. Ordered the grilled chipotle chicken burrito (add pico). Tons of flavor with a desired creamy sauce and cheesiness . Not a big fan of their refried beans as of yet. Wish the menu would inform what comes standard on each menu item so you are not guessing. I would have asked to hold off on the refried beans. But even with the beans, it was a filling and flavor burrito. Enjoyable.

Our party arrived right on time for our reservation, but we were not seated until 15 min later because our table was not ready. It took about an additional 15 min to get tap water for the table (there was not enough provided anyways), and to place our orders too another ~20 min. The food did not arrive until 30 min later. For context, we eventually learned that the restaurant was short staffed and the bartender was also operating as our waiter. When the food finally arrived, there was a mix-up on what was delivered. We had checked with the staff who delivered one of the dishes: we ordered the "wild mushroom" side, but what we received did not look quite like it. We asked clarifying questions x2, but were assured, "no, it is the wild mushroom." Turned out, it was the mushroom empanada that was delivered to our table, which we originally did not order. The management did rectify the situation upon the conclusion of the event when we were paying the bill, but to us, it felt a bit accusatory as if we intentionally wanted to cause a huge fuss about the final total, which was absolutely not the case. The food in general was delicious. If this was a more standard dining experience, it would have been 4-5 stars just for the food. The service was very subpar, and really colored the entire experience negatively, therefore the two star review. I understand that staffing shortages happen -- fine. My family has worked in food service as wait staff for 25+ YEARS, so I am empathetic. But for management to ring up our bill and then come confront us in an inflammatory manner, making us feel like we were wrong, on an occasion to celebrate something special, was extremely disappointing.

I found a spot in the surface lot right across the street from one of the most popular Mexican restaurants in town. Ambiance (4/5): The Mission is a nice restaurant. There's a small patio in front and a large patio out back. Sit at the outdoor patio if you can pull it off. Inside is great too, and there's nice artwork both inside and outside. The only issue? It's a popular restaurant and they try to pack in as many people as possible so space is at a premium. That also means that if you come at a peak hour, like we did, it's going to be pretty loud. Service (4/5): There was a wait when we arrived and the bar was full (first come, first served). Luckily, a group was leaving right when I lingered by the bar and we were able to snag the seats. The bartender did a pretty good job taking care of us. There was room for improvement as far as her efficiency and checking in, but overall, given how busy the restaurant was, pretty good. Drinks (4.5/5): The Mission has an interesting cocktail list. As you'd expect, it's tequila-focused but there's a good variety. You'll find creative cocktails which is always big in my book. Plus margaritas like prickly pear margaritas. I went with the correndo na chuva which has cachaca, passion fruit, lemongrass, sherry, and lime juice. Cachaca is a Brazilian liqueur which you don't see in many places so this was a treat. It was a refreshing cocktail. Lots of spicy cocktails are available, too. Food (4/5): While the brunch menu is pretty extensive, I think there's a clear winner: the all-you can eat whole roasted pig out. For $19, and only on Saturdays and Sundays during brunch, it's a steal of a deal. You get pineapple roasted shoulder and pork belly carnitas tacos served with your choice of one of five sauces. There's a little buffet stand where a member of their staff will make the tacos for you. I had about 10 of them and they hit the spot! Nice variety of sauces so I tried all of them except for one (two spicy for my blood) and you can request flour tortillas if you prefer that over the corn tortillas they have. Between the two proteins, I thought the pork shoulder was more flavorful and tender. It's no surprise that The Mission Old Town has some of the most Yelp reviews in town. It's a popular restaurant. Just make sure to make a reservation or stop by outside of peak hours or there's a good chance you'll have a wait.

My only suggestion would have been to over lower price point for smaller portions because there is so much more I wanted to try and even 3 small plates added up to $50. I went with elote shaved off the cob, half portion. This was good. A bit mushy and needed a dash of salt. The tuna fresco tostado was good. Loved the accompanying sauce. Would have loved for the tuna too taste a bit more raw. The house salad was a very generous portion. Added goat cheese which was very tasty! Great avocado and greens. Didn't love the dressing so asked for cilantro dressing anchovies was thicker than I would have liked. I actually would have enjoyed a dressing more like the one with the tostado. Very zesty. Our server Jocelyn was such a darling! Checks could only be split 3 ways so was a bit cumbersome at the end so checks were not initially printed. Id suggest checking on who's sharing what at the front end for billing purposes and providing printed checks as an option below asking for credit cards if guests have to share on their own. Otherwise great experience. Would have also loved a fresh grapefruit juice option from the bar.
