I took my 2011 Toyota Prius in on April 13,2020 to have the oil changed. They did not tell me at…read morethis time that they did not have the proper tool to take my oil filter out. Therefore, they damaged the oil filter housing. I found this out when I went back to Performance Quick Lube for an oil change on August 14 2020. The Manager informed after a 45 minute wait that they could not change my oil due to damage done by his employee the previous time I took it in for an oil change. He also told me to take it to Coad Toyota to have the part replaced and oil changed. So, instead of paying $ 62.57 (what it cost me when they damaged my oil filter housing) to have my oil changed, I have to pay $62 for an oil change and god only knows how much the replacement oil filter housing will be. I have to pay for a replacement part and an oil change? If you do not have the proper tools to do a job INFORM THE CUSTOMER BEFORE YOU DAMAGE A PART. I was a loyal customer for a long time. I told them I wanted to talk to the manager and they told us he knew about ( because they called him) and he said none of my employees would do that and would not come back to the store. so the cops were called and they said when the manager came back in he would look at the cameras and let us know somethin.
