I love this store! As a consignor, I make extra income off my wardrobe I no longer use. They sell more than dresses and tuxedos. They have all the accessories that go along with it: cuff links, earrings, veils, necklaces, rings, bracelets, shoes galore and more! Coming into the store, it's easy to run into happy customers buying products like mine. It's a win-win-win. I make a return, the small business stays around, and the customer gets merchandise at an economic price. If your considering visiting this store, I would suggest you do! I have seen a dress completely transform into a custom design. Single layer to six layer formal wear dresses are their specialty. The owner gave me a private tour of where the magic happens and it was a sight to see! There was a half dozen different sewing machines for a variety purposes. If you're questioning if they can handle your dress, I know the answer. Yes! It seems each week they are redressing the mannequins, keeping up with the trends and seasonal wear. I had a wonderful experience at the Sewing Shack in Topeka, KS! They have an impressive selection of bridal gowns, formal and semi-formal dresses, plus shoes and accessories--all in one place. I was also glad to find they offer a full menswear section. Katie was absolutely amazing to work with. She was incredibly helpful, patient, and really listened to what I was looking for. I had a wonderful experience here for both mine and my mother's dresses for my wedding. They were very helpful and willing to work with my wacky schedule being from out of town. I had a perfect experience with them being receptive, it was a good price-point for the work done, and alterations were done to my liking. I am also impressed by their amount of dresses for resale/consignment available in the store as I am now going to be a bridesmaid in multiple weddings, this is keeping it affordable.
