This is a hidden gem! It's a little shop in the back roads of Naples, hidden in the industrial section where they have a lot of small business. The ladies working here are very friendly and very thorough. They are masters at their skill. I have brought dresses in that don't fit, but were a great deal at the store- so I just bring them in, and they alter them to fit me :) their pricing is very reasonable and they are very quick! If I take items in on a Monday, they are usually ready on Thursday or Friday. Give them longer when it's Season. This business deserves your patronage, so if you have anything that needs altering, take it here! They are true professionals and the changing area is very clean. read more

Pat at the sewing room is not reliable. I called 4 weeks out from needing a dress altered. She told me that she could not get me in that week but that she could the following week (giving me three weeks to get the dress turned around) and that my date that I needed the dress was not gonna be a problem. I scheduled the appointment and went in for the alterations, had it all pinned up and was given the day before to pick up with the timeframe of 12-1pm. At 11:22 day of pick I was called and told that she had not even started my dress yet. Since then she used another person as a point of communication and has yet to return my calls or call me regarding my dress, including the charge that she tacked on to someone else's bill and credit card. She had the audacity to charge me full price for the dress as well as charge me a credit card fee for somebody else picking up the dress on that person's credit card. If my dress was done on time, it would have been paid for in cash and avoided so said fee as well. I am extremely disappointed with the fact that she still has yet to call me back to talk to me regarding this issue. read more

Fast, reliable and incredibly talented!!!! I will never go anywhere else !!! Honestly the best tailor in Naples!!!

I've used services here a handful of times now and can safely say I highly recommend Pat and The Sewing Room! Pat is very friendly, knowledgeable, and honest. The prices are fair, she is super thorough and her quality of work speaks for itself. read more

I have used the Sew Room for all my clothing alterations for over 15 years. I've had 20 pieces altered here, they all fit perfectly! They feel so great with some minor alterations to make them all mine. It's not fast or cheap service, but you get what you pay for. Definitely worth the wait and money to have them fit for the runway. Thanks Sewing Room! You know I'd never go anywhere else ;) read more

Sewing Room Alterations & More - Sequence dress - Sewing & Alterations Near Me - Naples, Florida

Absolutely amazing service. You will not be disappointed with Patty. She took her time and made me feel assured as the gown was an Imported Italian dress, all hand beaded. There was an extensive amount of alterations needed. Highly recommended. I could have easily paid double at the boutique it was purchased at. read more

A pleasure to work with and a fair price for hemming a bridesmaids dress. I won't go anywhere else

One of the hardest things to sew things on is leather. What a beautiful job they did lineing everything up, and Sewing the hard little things, making it tight and secure. Had a couple of issues to be delt with at first and they took the "Bull by the horns" to do a custom, complete job that I am far past happy with. They made sure everything lined up, and it turned out perfect. I would highly recommend "The Sewing Room" to anyone needing work done, and are as particular as me. AAAA++++ read more

Unfortunately, I've been using this place for years until she wouldn't stand behind her work on a hem job on a pair of jeans we just asked her to redo them and make them a little higher and she wouldn't do it for free. I even asked if she would reconsider as I use her frequently And she said no. Now I have to find someone else who will stand behind their work. I don't think she minds losing a little business. There's not too many places in Naples who do alterations. read more

Just had a sport coat altered by Pat, and she did it to perfection! It was obvious she put an extra effort into making it come out perfect, even though a uniqueness to the sleeves made it challenging. She will not compromise on quality work, and is well worth whatever she charges. read more

I called to ask if they did hems on trousers. They said, "Yes!" When I asked how long will it take to do, they got evasive. I don't know why. They said, "It will take a couple of days maybe longer." I asked, "What's the longest time it would take?" "Seven days" "Today is Wednesday, they will be done by next Wednesday?" "Well it depends on how busy we are and the type of fabric." This company received 3 stars because they were pleasant and I know with Covid and the recession, businesses are strapped for help and a lot of the future is uncertain. However, due to their inability to offer a guaranteed completion time, I went elsewhere. read more

I brought 3 items for alterations and had mixed results. Dress alterations were great but the 2 blouses were unacceptable. One with stretchy fabric was MUCH shorter in front than in the back??? (maybe they had 2 tries with stretchy fabric??) . The darker ivory blouse was hemmed with bright white thread that can easily be seen. The owner offered said she was not the person that worked on the garments and offered to redo but the damage can't be undone when it comes to both blouses. Had to donate the short one. Nice owner but I won't be back. read more

I had gone to them for years. We had a wedding to attend and gave plenty of time to make alterations to my husband's suit. He picked it up on a Friday afternoon and the pants had never been touched, still had the pins tgat they put in to take them in!!!!! The owner was rude as if it was our fault they did not do their job but we paid for the jacket and left. NO, I do NOT recommend this business at all, there are plenty of other alteration businesses that are more on top of their business to affirm the job is compete and correct. read more

Outlandishly expensive and slow. Will not go back there again. Did not like attitude when I questioned pricing.

The Sewing Room has been my "go to" place for alterations for over 20 years! Whether it's basic alterations or a challenging custom sewing piece, the quality is unsurpassed and the finished product is always impressive! The owner's love of her craft is obvious upon your first visit. I would recommend The Sewing Room to anyone who lives in the Naples and surrounding area. read more

The seamstress here is wonderful!!! I brought in a pair of dress pants to be taken in in the waist, and she suggested a different way of altering them so that they would have the best fit possible - she was so right! Worth every cent, my pants now fit like a glove. Absolute perfection. I also brought a cashmere sweater with a ripped sleeve, which she fixed flawlessly. I would recommend this business 100x over. Very talented, great customer service, competitive pricing. Thank you, Sewing Room! read more

This is really a buttoned down place where quality seamstresses make irregular clothes fit you like royalty. Fast turnaround, too, at an inexpensive price that's paid upon pickup. Do I have to admit that I'm short? No, it's just that my legs are much closer to the ground than the long lengths of pants that hang on store racks assume. So I routinely come here for a hem. The clean and efficient store is in the industrial part of Naples, has a fitting area, and a block in front of a mirror for accurate pinning and approvals. While paying for my alterations, two gentlemen came in with their respective shirts and pants for needed alterations Apparently the word is properly getting out that The Sewing Room's reliable tailors are both expert and reliable. read more

I have been to this place twice and both experiences have been NEGATIVE. The first time, I brought several items to be altered. I thought their prices were high ($35 to take in pants, $20 to put a new elastic in a skirt) and when I went to pick up the items, I remembered the cost of one alteration being $25 (to put a new zipper in a dress), but they charged me $35. I argued quite a while with the lady, but she would not even meet me halfway, so I ended up paying what they (I believe) overcharged me. I made a mental note: Next time, make sure you get the prices in writing ahead of time. (Good advice for anyone who goes here!) Today I went back because one of the pairs of pants still didn't fit right. She looked at my receipt, saw that more than a month had passed, and said, "We will not be able to help you. It's been more than a month. We don't know whether maybe you lost weight." I have NOT lost weight; the other pair of pants fits and I had just told her so! I was so furious I left without a word, but decided to write a review warning others. The ladies who run this place show no interest in developing a personal relationship with their clients; they don't know the first thing about customer relations; they seem intent only on squeezing every dollar they can out of their customers. Their attitude is one of suspicion and mistrust, rather than of cheerful accommodation and helpfulnesss. Frankly, I don't know how they stay in business. Whatever. Today they lost a customer for good. I am never going back. read more

I had a disaster experience with the alterations done by David's Bridal in Fort Meyers, the dress was taken in and ready only a couple weeks before my wedding and they took it in too much!!! They not only did this, but they cut the dress and botched the beading and the hemming. THE SEWING ROOM SAVED ME. Not only did the owners stay up the entire night to fix the dress but they were so caring and understanding. I love this place and coming from Upper East Side Manhattan, this is my GO TO Tailor ALWAYS!! (speaking of I have to go there soon for some alterations)!!! -Taylor read more

It is such a relief to find SUCH a great tailor. Pat works magic with alterations, and is fast and affordable. She is very concerned that clothes fit properly, and knows how to make it happen. She has tailored everything from athletic clothing to dresses for me, and everything is finished perfectly, on time, and with a smile. A GREAT FIND! I highly recommend THE SEWING ROOM. read more

2001 Seward Ave, Naples, FL 34109 Pat, Unfortunately, I do NOT agree with sum. But I do agree with those that are looking for Hight quality work and performance on garments that are Hight end. My experience was not satisfactory when bringing the issues to her attention her only answer was to redo and recharge The work was done as a low-end seamstress not a tailor or dressmaker. I was never properly measured she didn't write down exactly what I wanted for correct measurements We all have bad days but when you make a mistake fix it at no cost Never again. read more

Dont ever go here! I brought two pants to have hems taken down and one pair of paints to repair seam Thel lost one of the pants amd the one that need seam repair they din not fix and took down hem! I called several times in number is not operating when I went there to take back the two pair of pants that they did have the woman was refusing to give me then telling me that she wanted to correct her mistake but they still had not found the lost pair of pants I had to fight with her for five minutes to give me my clothes back and left without my last pair of pants. I brought a Hawaiian style shirt that I purchased at Wal-Mart for $12 to be altered. I know the lady told me the cost was going to be $15. I remember that because it was going to be a little more than what I paid for the shirt, and I was a little hesitant to pay that, but I agreed. When I picked up the shirt the lady decided that the cost was $35. I was flabbergasted. The problem I had is that I could not find my ticket, and without the ticket, I could not prove anything. I would never have agreed to pay $35 for a $12 shirt. I was willing to meet her at $20, but she would not. Anyways, the only reason I am giving them 2 stars is because generally they are nice people, and have done decent work in the past. However, as a matter of principle, I will never use their services again. Rich read more

I cannot say enough good things about the Sewing Room. I first went there out of frustration with a tailor in the downtown Naples Area. If you are looking for a seamstress who is a perfectionist and a pleasure to work with, you have found her -- Pat at the Sewing Room. I went to Pat with the very challenging job of completely taking apart, altering and remaking a dress for my daughter's wedding. We had several fittings and Pat was only satisfied when the dress fit perfectly. This project involved removing and replacing bone in the bodice, removing and replacing extensive intricate trim, and making alterations to the sleeves, skirt, etc. The workmanship was flawless, and the dress turned out better than I dared hoped for. Pat really "Saved the Day" for me, and I highly recommend her. read more

let me start by saying holy cow!!! was referred by a seamstress to come here for my bridesmaid dress. the dress was way too small around my bust and the zipper would not zip all the way up. took my dress here and was told "no problem at all i will make this dress fit". The lady who runs it, not sure her name is so sweet and determined. she had no doubt in her voice when telling me she'd be able to get my dress to fit me.. a week later came back for first fitting and BAM the dress zipped all the way up. fit perfectly. not to big not too tight. then she took a little bit of length of the bottom. got my dress back in a timely manner as well! super nice staff, and a very well experienced owner. take all your alteration needs here and you will not regret it!!!!! i was so stressed about my dress and she made it work and i even got my dress back 2 weeks before i leave for the wedding. 20/10 stars for you!!!! thank you so much read more

Only great things to say. Their work is amazing! We have used them at least a dozen times since moving to Naples a few years ago from Chicago. I personally find their prices to be fair and consistent with their level of service. I just picked up a new Tommy Bahama dress today that needed a few inches taken off. They charged $18.50. I find that to be completely reasonable. After reading a few of the negative reviews I can only say that sometimes you get what you pay for. Additionally, they have bent over backwards to accommodate us on a number of last minute emergencies. Personally I won't go anywhere else. read more
