Do yourself a favour and call a reputable company like David from Starwood in Richardson or Hunter Douglas. The money you think you're saving is not worth the constant headaches you will get dealing with this guy. There are several people I have spoken too that have had similar experiences. Run and Hide ! Even the installers he sent were bad mouthing him for not being able to take accurate measurements or even an understanding of how things are installed properly. Not the kind of people you should let into your home.

We had regular faux wood blinds on both windows prior, but were never fully satisfied with them. They didn't cover the full window, but they were the best we could afford at the time. After perusing reviews on Yelp we decided to give JR a call and he came out to the house. We were a little surprised that he only had one sample to show us. He only uses the Norman Blinds, and they don't have the traditional vertical bar that enables opening and closing. We really liked JR, though, and decided to go with the Norman Blinds, even though they were a little different from what we had been expecting. One cool thing about the Normans is that you can close the bottom 1/3rd portion of the blinds while leaving the top open, which is nice when you want some light but don't want people outside to see in. We also have two very skinny windows which border the sides of our front door. Very creepy to have people look in the windows at you (and they do!). We ended up ordering shutters for those as well. It took a couple months for the blinds to come in, but the guys who came to install them did a fantastic job. They even wore foot booties so as not to dirty my white carpet. They were very nice and respectful. Once up, the shutters looked awesome. We love them. I love being able to close them tightly at night and love how dark the bedroom stays in the mornings. It actually is much nicer *not* having a vertical bar running up the blinds that obstructs our view. I plan to eventually have some of our other windows done as well, as soon as it's in the budget. Our experience with JR and Classic Shutters was a very good one.

Communication became extremely difficult, and the company later acknowledged serious financial problems and said it could not provide a reliable delivery or refund date. We have been patient and made repeated attempts to resolve this directly, but we are still waiting for our money back.

Some of our windows, Especially the electric roller, shades, Very much subpar. We worked with Kaz and his wife about a year ago. Some of them roller shades have issues. Some of them have stopped working, and some of them with battery issues, battery runs dry after a week or so. We were told, based on a full charge, this should last six months. So 3 out of 17 electric roller blinds, will not work without it being constantly plugged in because the batteries are dead. There are no support whatsoever. And these roller shades are all completely out of sync. Pictures below for some examples. The center one is closed, the one on the left is slightly open, and the one on the right is halfway open. They're all completely out of sync. The ones in our dining room, and the ones in our living room, and our kids room, are also all out of sync. Also, these blinds Somehow have formed a static cling. So it doesn't have a beautiful shape when it's closed. The center of them stick together because of static electricity. The ones our neighbors. A different company, our flawless. And they're cheaper. The shutters, look very nice, but they are really cheap quality. The plastic are very lightweight. We have Worked with Budget blinds and a few other companies during our time, and I'm sad to say this is the worst of the qualities we have dealt with. The part that actually saddens us the most, and very disappointed, we, tried contacting Kaz for a solution, but after we paid him the last check, we haven't heard back from him since. There were no replies to our phone calls, messages, or emails. I have records to show that we have tried contacting them multiple times, in multiple ways. No reply, absolutely none.

That's nearly 150% more than other companies in DFW. They said to get me a better quote they would need to do an in home estimate. I explained we had an appointment setup for the prior day and was bothered that nobody showed up. She proceeded to tell me to take my business elsewhere and hung up on me. When trying to call them back goes straight to voicemail. They blocked my number.
