This is a super fun city pool, tucked away off the beaten path. I've lived in this area for four…read moreyears and yesterday was the first time I've been out to it, but it won't be the last. They had lots of covered seating and picnic tables, chairs you could lay out on, a concession stand with very reasonably priced junk food, a little mushroom outside of the pool for smaller kids, a diving board, and a twisty-twirly slide with a 250 lb wight limits that even an adult *cough*me*cough* could enjoy! The pool has a stairs down into it & a long bench along one side, with plenty of shallower area before sloping down to the deep end. If someone wants to be able to use the slide or diving board, they have to be able to do it without any sort of life jacket and then swim back to the side of the pool. You can bring your own cooler with food and drinks in as long as you don't bring alcohol or glass. There are bathrooms with changing areas and showers as well. Things that kept me from giving it 5 stars: the bathroom floors are really slippery. There isn't a lot of traction and they're wet (because pool), so they might benefit from some traction mats being thrown down. They're also very dark. They use mostly natural light coming down from the ceiling, so on a cloudy day it can be hard to see what's going on. Also, bathroom cleanliness and toilet paper and soap accessibility were a problem. Bathrooms are a big deal for me. Also, they sadly (but understandable for a small town) are cash only.

Super awesome!! We have an 8 and 9 year old and this was perfect for them!! They were able to go…read morethrough the lazy river and down the water slides without our constant supervision because they could stand above water in each pool. There is a diving board for the ambitious. That's in almost 12 feet of water. They knew to avoid it. There were multiple life guards throughout the facility and they were all attentive and extremely friendly. We went when they opened right at 1 pm on a Sunday and we barely got a pool chair to put our towels on. It gets packed fast. You can't bring inside drinks in- there's food trucks for drinks and snow cones but we didn't need it. They do search your bags for outside food/drinks. Everyone in the park was super friendly and low key. We felt safe and it was most definitely a family place. Next time we're in Burkburnett we will definitely come back! Wifey tip: They do ask you what your zip code is be 'non-residents of Burkburnett' are charged more. We gave them a local Burkburnett zip code but we're still charged the out of town price for whatever reason ‍

Boomtown Bay was a blast, but the only thing I didn't like was they didn't have an actual pool to just swim in. They had slides, a diving board, kids area, and a lazy River.

I have been at the pool the last 3 weekends (4 Xs total) this Summer and it is truly 5 stars! The check in is super easy. I paid $5 each time (a discount for C.Hill) residents as well as your guest. They do take cash or card which is convenient. The line is never long, really non existent most of the time. Parking is a breeze especially if you get there for open swim which begins at 12 noon. The majority of the lounge chairs are shaded and you don't have to worry about anyone taking/moving your belongings as you enjoy the water. The lazy river is extremely clean and well kept and the floaties are in abundance and FREE! Everyone is respectful in the pool! At any given time there can be newborn babies to the seniors and every age in between so being courteous is just as important as having fun! The music is great too! They play EVERYTHING including Spanish songs on Cedar Hill Tunes. There is one lazy river, one slide which is so much fun and never a long line, as well as a larger pool that is wheelchair assessable too. It was in this pool that my BF taught me to swim this Summer so the Cedar Hill Lagoon will forever be memorable to me! They also have about 7 cabanas that you can rent out for your private event. The bathrooms have great air flow and are pretty well kept with no trash on the ground an I definitely appreciated the cleanliness. They also have showers too. The lifeguards are also professional and they appear to have fun too. There is food available if you get hungry. A CH police officer does make his/her round at the pool too so it definitely makes you feel safe an at ease. I hope the Lagoon continues to be a fun, clean, memorable place for my future summers!
