What can I say? Two years later and it is still one of my very favorite local places for all of the…read moresame reasons. The wine is exceptionally good and I love that they make changes to the selection from time to time. The winery is clean and spacious with indoor and outdoor seating. It is such a charming little place. The staff feels like people you have known for a really long time. I feel very lucky to have a place like this so close to home.

The room was fairly clean, though there was a strange adhesive residue on the hair dryer and some general wear and tear throughout. Our view was directly of the brightly lit hotel sign, but thankfully it was quiet, and the curtains filtered the light well enough for us to sleep comfortably. The TV wasn't a smart TV, and the DirectTV options were pretty limited, which was a bit of a letdown. However, the breakfast was hot, fresh, and covered all the basics--nothing fancy, but it hit the spot. We didn't expect housekeeping mid-stay, so it was a nice surprise to come back to a tidied room with the bed made and trash taken out. A solid stay overall, with a few quirks.

Not sure if it's where I was sitting or not, but the sound system could have been I little bit more louder. With the owners decision not to serve alcoholic beverages like many other entertainment venues do, the crowd attracted is more of the older "get off my lawn" type. While it's the owners right and choice to not at least sell beer for certain shows, it is my choice to spend my money elsewhere.

I'm now finishing them the next day and they are still great. Service was excellent, staff was courteous and helpful. Now...it was 1:30 on a Saturday afternoon - 12:30 our time - and there was hardly anyone in there. OTOH, that's when you sometimes get bad service in otherwise good places. It's a BBQ place. Clean is all I ask and it was that - including the restroom. There are like 300 things on the menu and now I want to try them all. Too bad it's 90 minutes away from us. That was our experience. YMMV, but I hope they are consistent. We'll be back when we're over that way.
