I first brought in two pairs of jeans and a pair of cashmere lounge pants -- and they did such an excellent job that I've been back multiple times since. They've added elastic to the sleeves of a very expensive winter coat, hemmed several pairs of slacks and jeans, and taken in both the legs and waistbands of other pants. Every piece has come back fitting beautifully. Lisa is thorough, kind, and incredibly helpful. She takes the time to make sure everything fits just right, and the pricing is very reasonable. I had my wedding dress alterations done by Irina, and I just cannot praise her enough! I came to…read moreher feeling so defeated, my bridal salon ordered my dress two sizes too big so when I finally received it I absolutely hated the way it looked on me. So much so in fact, that I actually bought a second dress. Unfortunately that one had even more wrong with it. I originally went to another alterations shop in Chinatown that had positive reviews, but my experience was not positive at all. The woman completely rushed me and was not willing to make any customizations, which I really needed since I was not happy with either dress. After leaving that appointment feeling completely defeated, I found Irina online and ended up bringing both dresses to her. She was BEYOND patient with me and had me try on both dresses to see what we could do to each, and helped me decide to go with my first dress. I went in for weekly appointments- we completely changed the shape of the top of my dress, added rhinestone trim, took it in a TON, added two different bustles so I had options, and hemmed it. She did all of this for $450 which was beyond reasonable compared to what I've seen some other brides pay. I also brought my Mom's wedding dress to Irina and she added lace from her dress to my veil, and took lace from my dress and added it to my shoes. She did that for an additional $100. She even allowed me to bring my 3 bridesmaids and my 2 Aunts in for a fitting when they were all in town for my shower. Overall this was such a positive experience and I would definitely encourage other brides to go to Irina for their alterations and customizations, she is the absolute best!
