The dry didn't completely dry the thicker socks and thick waistbands like I would have preferred, but overall was a great experience and the man working there was nice and helpful and didn't seem to mind that we went for short walks while waiting for the cycles to run as long as we were back by the time it ended. I think there were 8 large washing machines and 4 dryers, all Miele brand. The quick wash was about 31 minutes. Payment was easy using a credit card.

However, ALL the other washers and dryers were being using by the employees! I understand they have business they must conduct (they will wash your clothes for you, if you wish), however they should leave at least 1 washer and dryer open for walk-in customers. If we left our clothes to be washed, they wouldn't get our clean clothes back to us until mid-morning on Monday. That didn't work since we were departing early morning Monday.

Our hotel charged to much to take care of it, so we decided to look for a laundry service ourselves. When we got there, the lady in charge kindly greeted us, asked us if we wanted our laundry dropped off, we agreed, she weighed the bags, told us the total and told us to come back by 6pm. We were back by that hour and our laundry was nicely folded and back in the bags. Job well done. We recommend it 100%.

I'm one of the unlucky people ... I don't have a washer/dryer in my flat! It's a real pain, but…read moreluckily the launderette is only up the road. There are two options when it comes to self-wash. Large and small. The small ones fit your average load of laundry and costs €3.50 per wash. Now if you're like me and you wait to wash your laundry until the very last minute and you have to go to the launderette in your very brightest pj bottoms then the larger machine is for you. There's only two so you've got to plan your trip accordingly. And at only €4.50 it's a bit more of a bargain than the smaller washes. The dryers are huge and I normally shove all of my clothes into one. It's .80 for every 5 minutes and most times it takes about 30 minutes, so you're out about €4.80. It's not the cheapest deal in town, but at least I don't have to febreeze everything when I'm done!

That said, bi-annually the Grafton Cleaners always do a thorough job. The Grafton Cleaners used to be based on Grafton Street, hence the name, but presumably due to the high cost of rent they moved to their current location on South William Street.
