If you're throwing your own wedding they have ribbon fake flowers etc. You can make your own veil. It's Christmas all year in this place, and it really explodes with sweet baby Jesus in October. Ornaments are very affordable, sometimes photo frames are on sale and reasonable. The Germantown Tennessee location has the most fantastic framing department. They are like family, and do such a great job tastefully matting and framing our handmade artwork and concert posters. I'm taking one start off because they're closed on Sundays and because they are very pushy with the Christian / country theme. If you can handle it, they fill the need for your arts crafts and decor supplies.

I turned her on to Carter's a long time ago and it's still one of the best places in town to get fabric and craft needs. It opened back in 1988 and I have stopped in a couple times over the years just to look around. There are so many big round bolts of material head high and on many aisles. There is one other fabric store that might be able to compete with Carter's on pricing but I guess it comes down to the amount of variety in the designs and prints available for your needs at the time.

I've shopped at Johnson's fabrics for at least 30 years. They are my go to whenever I need…read moreupholstery supplies or leathers. I do find their fabric selections to be much smaller in scale at their new location even though it is extremely larger. I don't understand that. They don't have upholstery silks or faux silks and crepes which is a disappointment. I do miss the volume of selections they had at the old location. None the less, the staff is just as helpful and pleasant as they've always been. As far as prices, they are competitive with other locations. Still my go to fabric store.
