I went to my old town today. Roaming the streets . Checking things out. Feelin " touristy"so, i…read moredecided to stop at all my old fav spots. The FUDGE KITCHEN Salt water taffy deal is still on! Lol when you buy 3? pounds of this fudge I get a 1/2 of salt water taffy ...( I still had the line memorized . ) lol It was empty . I was "somewhat "greeted by this older red headed woman who clearly wasn't happy . (Which was a super vibe kill ) I was picking up my favs. Almond Butter crunch / dark chocolate molasses pop / A little unaware where to order, where to check out, put my candy bags . I still needed to order vanilla fudge. So, I stood by fudge waiting for her she stood at opposite end of store , w an attitude, like I was almost bothering her I walked down to cash register w my items And when I ordered some fudge, she almost got mad I had to make her walk back towards fudge . Checked out... Whisoo . But price doesn't matter . . Customer service does . And this woman needs to be whipped in that mixing bowl I felt so uncomfortable. So then I realize I forgot to buy some black licorice . This lady . Disappeared. NOWHERE to be found Another young girl working there . was speaking to a Mexican couple, being super polite with them , speaking Spanish She was waiting on them I didn't want to interrupt their conversation so I was waiting at the register with my black licorice ..she ever came out . I waited too . Lol till I was just irritated . I just put black licorice shoelaces back and walked out . The first unhappy visit I've had this place ever. Bring back the happy girls and guys there. Who are willing to be This is tradition for ppl . And you can't have mean Karens w attitudes working at a place like that. Smile Life's too short Fudge was great Almond butter crunch is tasted super old. Happy summer everyone !

9/26/2025 I visited Douglas fudge several times when I was in Stone Harbor for one week. As I…read morestated in my last review, I used to go to the fudge kitchen only. I really like Douglas better I like their caramel fudge and chocolate coconut fudge so much. I asked if there were any specials and I was told that if you bought 2 pounds of fudge, you would get 1 pound for free. I said "wow I couldn't eat all that! The lady behind the counter let me know that the fudge freezes well. Unfortunately, I let her know that when I froze the pumpkin fudge, it tasted awful when I took it out of the freezer. I wasn't sure if it was something up with the pumpkin purée and the lady asked me how I froze it and I told her I took the pie plate itself, unopened, and I put it in a Ziploc bag. She explained that that is the wrong way to freeze it that you really have to make sure to get all the air out and wrap it in pieces of wax paper and then put it in a ziplock in the freezer. She also stressed that fudge should not be refrigerated. I told her that the pumpkin fudge I had I was only pretending to eat it. I would take a little bit and then throw it in the trash, so my husband thought I was eating it so he wouldn't be upset about the money being wasted. I'm presuming the lady behind the counter was the owner, manager, or the proprietor? She asked the young girl to give me a pie plate of pumpkin fudge which was free of charge. That was for sure an r expected kindness I won't ever forget! That blew me away! I already spend money at Douglas, but this puts it head and shoulders above any other Fudge place at the shore for me- they just ensured my loyalty! I really thought that was an excellent business move, and it restored my confidence and I will likely buy fudge to freeze since now I know how to do it properly. I enjoy shopping in the store because it is so pretty how everything is spaced out and sorted and it's organized and clean. It's a great shopping experience. The girls behind the counter are friendly and I love going to Douglas fudge when I'm in stone harbor .
