Instead of helping us, they were standing around chatting with each other. Mateo told us the packing tape was all the way on the back wall of the store. We walked all the way back there only to find out the packing tape was actually in the stationery department, just a few aisles from where we had originally asked. It felt like we were intentionally misdirected because he didn't want to take the time to help. That's not the level of customer service shoppers should expect. Management should address this behavior. Associates should be helping customers find products accurately instead of sending them across the store for no reason. This experience wasted our time and left a very negative impression.

II am a black man who has grown up in the United States. I know what it is like to feel the sting of discrimination. As a middle-class, African American it wasn't until the other day I went to sevan day liquor to cash my check.minding you I have gone there before hand just to buy a few items ..anyways like I said I've been there numerous of times to cash my check and the clerk there recognize me from all the other times I've went in. and all serval times I was told oh I never seen that check before or I don't recognize it you gotta wait until my boss comes back tomorrow morning ..its funny how others ethic background goes in and there able to cash there check but not me I think it was very much racism taking place that night funny thing is my wife has gone there to cash her check beforehand and she's also African American but very light skinned so what's the difference between somebody who's light versus somebody who is dark I will not I will not be returning 7-Day liquor as long as I live in Beaumont California they lost a good customer!! read more

Every time I'm getting rung up at the register, I ask them about this. I let them know I'm purchasing 4 and should get the price that is clearly tagged on the shelf. It's a literal fight to get them to honor their pricing and at least 90% of the time they will not sell it for the price THEY HAVE TAGGED ON THE SHELF. I've walked out several times leaving the product at the register. The last time this happened, I asked to speak with the manager on duty. When I told her of the situation (and that it happens repeatedl) she apologized and asked me if I could call the next day and talk to THEIR employee to straighten out the situation. As if it's my job to take care of their poor business practices. I'm not a manager there, and I'm not on their payroll. It's their job to rectify the situation, not the customers. If they don't want to honor their pricing, great, take the tags off the shelf. What they need to do is train their cashiers to honor the price clearly tagged on the shelf. That would take all of 2 minutes to accomplish. Another thing they could do is clipstrip some flattened 4-pack holders right there hanging on the shelf (by the tag that clearly states the 4-pack price). It's a very easy situation to rectify. Its not my job, as a customer, to do it. The employees have such a bad attitude when I'm discussing the situation with them. I don't enjoy shopping here. So I don't anymore. As a consumer, I vote with my wallet.
