I did experience my first reaction around the bikini area and it was two days of AARGH! un-comfort-able! This was absolutely NOT DUE to the service. As the laser gets deeper into the hair follicles your body starts reacting differently to the healing. So I broke off the aloe vera plant, chilled it in the fridge and went commando. Problem solved. I'm an African Queen and have experienced no hyperpigmentation, scarring or other skin difficulties that normally occur with melanated skin. In fact, my skin coloration is returning to its natural state because of not waxing. Hmm? I wonder if my skin epidermis was being waxed now that I think about it. Now my treatments are every 2 months and no shaving in between with little creasings of hair . TBH I can probably go hairless 3 months. HIGH QUALITY SEV communication is outstanding. Shave 48 hours ahead instead of 24 to allow the skin inflammation to calm. 3. After the first three treatments, use your own intuition to determine your SEV cycle treatments. But be consistent. Great affordable option for laser. What I've heard, and my experience tends to support this, is that their lasers are not quite as strong as some others. However it has definitely been working, I'm just not sure it'll get me to the point where I *never* have to shave. So far I've done 7 sessions of Brazilian and 6 of lower legs, and for both I do still see some patchy growth (not all over) after 2 weeks or so. I still have a feeling this will be overall cheaper, I may just have to go to a lot more sessions in order to get the desired results. They are, however, super fast and efficient and I've never had to wait past my appointment time. There's plenty of free parking on the street as long as it's not a game or event day (best to check the petco schedule before booking a session). DO NOT BUY THEIR GROUPON! Bought a groupon for 6 sessions for XL area including brazilian and arm pits. After completing all of the sessions, you can barely tell a difference. After reading previous reviews, I requested the tech to increase the frequency as high as they would go at each appointment and it still didn't make a difference. I would like to note that I completed 6 brazilian sessions about 10 years ago and the results were night and day from what I experienced at SEV. Had an unfortunate experience here the other week when I was scheduled for my laser appointment. It was during the horrible storms in San Diego and I had called asking if I could reschedule my appointment day of, because it was going to be too difficult (and I felt dangerous) for me to drive to my to drive to the appointment. The gentlemen on the phone offered no help or alternatives, was cold on the phone, and didn't have any sympathy for the situation, even though they were saying not to travel unless necessary. When I couldn't get to the appointment, they used one of the passes from my value pack. A little pricey but just expect a slow process for removing any hair. They're going to do bare minimum for max pricing. Just being honest. The sessions for laser hair removal are only ten minutes long and they don't do much coverage. For six sessions of a large area, I only saw minimal results. But my esthetician, Cassidy, made the process very un-awkward and she was very personable so that was probably the best take away from my experience with the company. read more

I've been coming to this place for at least a year and never had a problem. Today, my appointment gets cancelled because I've had sun exposure? It's the summer. The nurse would not even laser my armpits. I advised her I had been in the sun approximately two weeks ago with no antibiotics, which is within the SEV guidelines. The front desk was so kind, and the person who did my laser was also so nice and welcoming. I would give a 5-star review, however, I was disappointed with the results. I know that results very on hormones, etc, however I did 2 sessions here on two different locations. Each time I told the person I was doing my laser that I'm not feeling the snap, and I've done laser at different places before and I always feel something. The nurse told me it was okay and kept going. I didn't think much of it. I didn't see any results, but tried a different location. I then went to SEV in Northern California, and I told the lady the same thing I can't feel it, and she said oh you're supposed to otherwise it's not doing anything, so she increased the number, till I felt a snap. I immediately saw results in these areas. Nothing against the people, they were so kind, but I do feel as if my money for two sessions on these two different locations were wasted, I wish there was a way to submit a case, to at least get these area done again.
