Just a short…read more15-17 minute stroll from the bustling central square, this boutique gem feels like a little slice of heaven. Each floor has its own unique charm, with the enchanting scent of Ortiga Nico D'India wafting through the air and a fresh, cool art motif that delights at every turn. The front desk team--Michele, Antoni, Ulga, and the whole crew--goes above and beyond, making sure every moment of your stay is seamless and wonderful. The hotel's restaurant, led by the amazing Anna Lisa and the charming Francesco, is pure magic. Their service shines bright, filled with great conversation, spot-on recommendations, and even treasured traditional family recipes! I'm already dreaming of that Caprese cake and the unforgettable orange and lemon zest jams. Our double superior suite...just stunning! With a balcony and a view so beautiful I wish I could bottle it and take it home! The shower was pure bliss, and those gorgeous tile floors? Absolutely perfect. And credit to the housekeeping team for keeping everything flawless. Grazie mille, Hotel Belair Sorrento! We'll be back before you know it!

A Masterclass in Hospitality - Our Unforgettable 20th Anniversary at Hotel Belair!…read more Our recent stay at the Hotel Belair in Sorrento was, without a doubt, the pinnacle of our 20th-anniversary celebration trip to Italy. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of genuine warmth and unparalleled service that truly set this 5-star establishment in a league of its own. And the views? Absolutely breathtaking - every glance out of our window or from the stunning common areas was a postcard moment. The heart and soul of our exceptional experience was the incredible Hotel Manager, Graziana. Though we only met her once upon arrival, her presence was felt throughout our stay as she masterfully orchestrated an unforgettable experience for us. She was the epitome of helpful and accommodating, anticipating our every need with an uncanny intuition. Graziana provided invaluable recommendations, guiding us on how to best utilize our limited time and navigate the area like locals, considering logistics and our lack of local knowledge. She even got us the room upgrade I requested for the last minute! My special request for a bouquet of flowers and fresh Sorrento lemons for my wife to celebrate our anniversary was executed flawlessly, creating a truly magical moment. And on our final morning, knowing we had an early departure, Graziana had arranged for a delicious breakfast to-go - a thoughtful gesture that was so appreciated. Working diligently behind the scenes with Graziana was the ever-charming Antonino. He was a constant friendly face, always incredibly helpful, welcoming, and looking remarkably dapper, especially with his stylish blue suede loafers! Antonino played a key role in coordinating all the wonderful touches that made our stay so special. Beyond the exceptional individuals, the Hotel Belair itself is a jewel. It's undeniably beautiful and fancy, yet it exudes a comforting, home-like ambiance that allowed us to relax completely. The entire property was exceptionally clean, a testament to their high standards. The service across the board was simply phenomenal. While no hotel is perfect, the dedicated staff at Hotel Belair made it feel perfect. Need something? A quick call and it was promptly delivered (Thank you Olga for the fan). It was the thoughtful little things that truly resonated: the custom card delivered each evening with the next day's weather forecast, or the almost magical moment when staff noticed us taking a brief cover from a light rain by the entrance and appeared with umbrellas, without us even uttering a word (we still don't know how they saw us!). The hotel restaurant manager Francesco was wonderfully nice and hospitable, contributing to an incredible overall dining experience. Even the bartender by the pool Luca elevated our relaxation, proactively bringing us delightful beverages as we were just settling in to chill by the poolside. You might think, "Well, this is what 5-star hotel staff are supposed to do; it's their job." But I can assure you, having stayed in other luxury hotels, the service at Hotel Belair is on an entirely different plane of existence. This is a masterclass in hospitality, and other brands should take notes. Frankly, it's almost embarrassing how other hotels operate when you compare them to the Belair standard. Thank you, Hotel Belair, Graziana, Antonino, and the entire team for making our 20th anniversary so incredibly memorable. We will cherish these memories!

The hotel also has a gym, spa, jacuzzi, lounge, restaurant, pool, bar, kids area, table tennis, cigar bar, etc. It's massive and well-kept and so much fun to explore. Added bonus: We went for our baby moon and the bartender made me the best mocktail I've ever had. LOCATION: The location is walking distance and perfectly located near the Sorrento city center. We walked into town each day for food, tours, day trips via the pier and shopping. The shopping area is vibrant and diverse. Highly recommend a stop by Nino's chocolate shop where they will give you so many delicious samples. The location of the hotel was ideal for taking advantage of all the city has to offer. FOOD: Breakfast was tasty! The staff is attentive. Dinner was delicious, though expect to pay hotel prices. Bartender was exceptional. Loved our stay! The veranda restaurant seemed like the perfect place to celebrate our wedding anniversary. However... the experience was very disappointing. The waitstaff was very inattentive overall (awful service), the waitress was rude and our food arrived more than one hour after we were seated, which was 15 minutes later than our reservation. Late in the evening.. not even during peak dining hours. The food lacked flavor and was overall inferior. The prawns smelled and tasted as if they were not fresh. The pasta was thick and flavorless and not consistent with other wonderful food we had experienced thus far. Overall not happy. If it weren't for the beautiful atmosphere and view, there would be ZERO reason to eat here. Do as someone else suggested which was to enjoy the sunset with drinks here and eat somewhere else!

Definitely on the high end so if your budget can't afford a week, spend two nights here. That's what I did before meeting friends for the remainder of my time in Sorrento. Since the next four days were full of touring different towns on the Amalfi coast, a boat ride to Capri and the Blue Grotto, and Pompei, I joined them at a different hotel that was more affordable since we basically were just sleeping and showering there. But for my first two days in Sorrento when I wanted to just chill and take in the beauty of this magnificent part of Italy, I chose Hotel Bellevue Syrene and I already want to come back!

Ok, first off the food is excellent, from the homemade pasta's to the truffle prime steak. The free breakfast that they provide is one of the best I've had in a hotel, not necessarily because of the food, which compares to other breakfasts, but it's the incredible staff that greets you at the door as soon as you arrive and walks you to your table, followed by a wonderful gentleman with a coffee cart!!! Yes, a coffee cart, that serves the best, fresh coffee and warm milk, that was my absolute favorite thing!!! The food manager was Nando and ran a very organized, tight ship, watching the staff was like watch a beautiful symphony. I loved ever single smiling face that greeted us from the moment we arrived. Don't freak out when you meet the front desk beauty, Lauren, that is the splitting image of Adele (the singer). She was so lovely and accommodating. The housekeeper was lovely and so friendly. The pool area is fabulous, so much space, the pool is heated and the view is incredible. There is a lovely outdoor bar with the best bartender, Antonino, that made us the most incredible banana smoothie drink with vodka, it was our favorite!!! I had arrived before check-in time so I had some time to explore the property before seeing my room. The garden area outside is very nice! I was told that the hotel would be closing for winter in a few days time and that is was slow. Since they did not have high occupancy, they upgraded me for free from a garden view to an ocean view. After 30 minutes or so the room was ready and I was escorted to see the room. It was quite impressive as there was the room itself but had a "sitting room" next it is so it was basically a suite. There was a door to the balcony that had a table for two and an ocean view. We were provided with a complimentary bottle of wine and a Panettone loaf. The room was nice an had everything except for a coffee maker. There was no hot water pitcher either. The bathroom had a toilet where the seat was not aligned to the toilet which is scary for a man as a pinched ball sack would not be good. This property is right next to Piazza Tasso which is the main square and is surrounded by restaurants and shops. There is a bar onsite as well as a Michelin starred restaurant called Terrazza Bosquet. The restaurant was good and the staff were amazing, front desk, concierge, bell staff and restaurant staff. The room was small, with barely enough space for us to open both our suitcases, but that didn't bother me much. The first morning we woke up to the bathroom smelling so strongly of smoke that I had to hold my breath going in. This is a nonsmoking hotel so it was disappointing to experience. Also, during cleaning every day the staff would open the windows for some reason, which would 1) let in bugs and 2) make the room really hot when we returned. Not sure why they kept doing that. Breakfast offered coffee/tea, a couple of juices, scrambled eggs, a rotating daily frittata, cured meats, veggies, pizzas, and a huge table of sweet pastries. Not the most balanced as there wasn't much protein, and overall, quality wasn't the best. But I still appreciated getting my morning coffee and a bite to eat before heading out for the day. There was an incredible view from the breakfast balcony though- definitely worth enjoying the view of Mt Vesuvius and the coast line, and probably my favorite part of the hotel stay.
