Super cute & welcoming. Drinks were strong AF, priced $15-20. The music was . The vibes were just right. This was my first time coming here, and I will definitely be back! The bartender was so sweet!
We met up with friends after a performance. The vibe was welcoming, the music created a great soundtrack to catch up with friends, the cocktails were inspired, and the art on the walls was the perfect backdrop for conversation. Rebecca our bar tender was so much fun. The Hatch next door was great for a pizza to share as we sipped our curated cocktails.
Smoked Whiskey Negroni $13 What's in it? Whiskey, Vermouth, Campari, Oak Chip Smoke Infusion The Smoked Whiskey Negroni was smooth and delicious. It arrived smoking! I'll have it again. Love this place! This is a go-to spot when I'm in Oakland. It's a welcoming spot for all walks a life. The bartenders are friendly. The art work is on point. I went on a Friday night. The bar started getting packed as I was waiting for my drink. I waited at a table, and the bartender was kind enough to bring the drinks to us. There's seating both inside and outside.
Sessions was on my list after seeing them on BoozieBrunch's IG Reels. Came by with some girlfriends to enjoy a night cap after our night out downtown. We were kind of confused upon entering, as we were the only people inside and the vibe was not disco ball fractured lights, spinning vinyls, or packed. BUT we were told that that's more of the weekend energy. So come on a weekday if you're a fan of having a more private bar experience (I'm all for it). We brought in our own food although the bar does partner with the restaurant next door, so you have options. We sat at the bar as those seats were more inviting, AND they have purse hooks. Restrooms are all genders and clean. Drinks were delish without the fanfare of the bougieness. My friends loved their old-fashioned and gin fizz. I really wanted to try the espresso martini as did my other friend, but we are not fans of vodka. And Vivi did us a solid and made it with mezcal. MM! So smoky, so unique. Brava. Vivi was the star of the night. Vivi was our bartender and kept us laughing and intrigued, sharing about the artist that created Sessions' eye-catching vinyl afro mural and the exciting music events on weekends. Parking was a-plenty on a late weekday evening (after 6pm), highly recommend Session's for a night cap on a chill weekday. The art and music are *chefs kiss* you won't catch them spinning top40 here which is SWEET SERENITY to our ears.
This was my first time trying out this cute bar and 19/10 recommend! The le grand fizz was so refreshing like a starburst and it was totally my vibe so I think I found my go to bar whenever i'm in town my friend got the flowers not war or something like that and it was amazing too but I did like my drink better. The bartender was so sweet and did so great at answering my questions when I asked about my drink and what I like and what not. That really made the experience for me. If this is on your list you should definitely check it out and check it off
Walking in, I definitely loved the space with the eye catching mural of this downtown Oakland cocktail bar. The vinyls are a nice touch. Our bartender was attentive and friendly. I came here for drinks with a new friend during the week which was a more lowkey experience. As for the drinks, the have some standout cocktails like The Hawthorn made with blood orange syrup and pineapple juice and the spicy marg. This is such a cute and aesthetic bar! The inside is kind of small with a few chairs by the entrance, bar seating, and then a few more seats in the back. We went earlier in the night though so it wasn't too crowded and perfect place to grab a drink with your girls. We sat at the bar and I loved how there were purse hooks under the table to hang your purse or jacket! The bartenders were super nice -- answered any questions we had and were accommodating if we wanted to make a slight change to our cocktails. The drinks were really yummy -- we got the Taloma and Espresso Martini. The Taloma was sweet with some smokiness and the Espresso Martini is what you'd expect. Overall super fun! Would def go back for another girls night, or would be fun for a date (but would come early for that so it's not packed).

Little cocktail bar, bartender was dressed like the devil. dope, happy halloween to that guy. and a la the devil probably, he killed those drinks. saw him putting smoke all up in one. grapefruit in another. it was like being front row to the light show at disneyland without all the children
Found this place on Yelp and decide to try it out on a Friday night with my girls. The inside is very cute and has a good time. Their drink menu is small which I think is good as too many drink options can be overwhelming. The place was pretty full, but we were able to find a seat at the bar. The bartender was very attentive and made our drinks really quickly which was great. I had the Taloma and ale Grand Fizz and I definitely loved the Taloma a lot more. The place did have a $10 cover charge later on in the night which I believe included access to a social club next door as well and extended the hours till 1:30am/2am. The place did get a bit loud towards the end of the night so I might be returning a bit earlier on a weekend or stop by during the week next time. All in all I did like the bar and will be returning.
We went out a little after 11pm on Friday and stopped in for a drink at sessions. The ambiance was amazing. The music is a great volume and it wasn't overly crowded. There was only one bartender working but they communicated that they were grabbing another groups drinks and we were next. Overall, gorgeous spot my partner and friend loved! If you're looking for a cute drink date spot-- this is it. I had le grand fizz and it was amazing! My partner and friend also enjoyed their drinks :)

Came here on a Friday night for some drinks around 10-11pm, and honestly, the vibe wasn't it. The music kept sounding like aux was indecisive, and the drink display was lacking depth. The service was good, and the bartender was nice, but the drinks were weak. It's really groovy looking in there though, which is what I saw on Yelp and wanted to check out. It has a lot of potential, and the things I noted aren't unfixable, so maybe I'll come back later. read more

The bartender tara is exceptional. I went in on a Friday after work and her hospitality was so well needed after a long day. we had amazing conversations and her bartending skills is quite exceptional. I tried my first dirty martini with her and I have never been back. The ambiance is perfect for a first date or great even for a girls night or celebration. either way, this bar is iconic. it's for the people and by the people. love sessions read more

Good curated drinks list, superb music, outstanding atmosphere, cool and engaging staff. A few tables to chill at in front and back and a smallish bar seating area. This is a good place to bring a date where the atmosphere compliments conversation rather than competes with conversation. The design is modern yet also a bit throwback in a way. The design of the place is compelling - whoever did the interior made something really special. I wish I lived closer. read more

I decided to check Sessions on 15th with a friend of mine. It was a pleasant experience to say the least. The decor and ambiance from the photos is what drew me in. It definately had charms, good vibes, and chillness. The enjoyed the music, the live DJ, and also the unique vinyl and records at center. The bartender was 3 months into their bartending, so the drinks were just ok. I would say once the bartender and drinks are polished - this place is a great little gem to stop by. read more

This bar is such a cool and chill place to unwind and have a drink. I did come on a week day and the owner said it gets pretty busy during the weekends which I'm sure would be just as fun. They have a wall of vinyl records and record player playing that gives it a very urban vintage vibe. Also delicious drinks will definitely be back. read more

Drinks were amazing! Ambience is absolutely awesome, perfect place to hang and catch up with friends. Music and space tie so well together. I got the Boulevardier and a sunflower and the bartender killed the drinks. Come here!!!!!! read more
