I recently discovered their pasture raised eggs by Alderwood Farms and love the taste and rich orangey colour of the yolks. This deep colour is always an indication of the grass and bugs these happy chickens are eating outdoors! And I don't mind paying extra for these eggs that come from happy chickens because they are double the nutrients compared to standard eggs from grain fed, indoor caged chickens. The owners are really nice, and true to their word, they do their best to keep their prices low. To this end, sometimes they don't have something in stock, because they can't get it for a good price. Or they have a lot of something else, because that was how they could get a good price point. There can be virtue in calling ahead to see if they have what you need in stock.
