Yeah..... apparently they were hired to not necessarily clean my items to "pre-fire" condition…read more Now, how would that make ANY sense? If an item was not able to be cleaned then insurance buys a new one! A perfect example of a business owner more willing to stick their head in the sand and ignore legitimate complaints from a customer rather than address internal issues. Excuses....excuses....excuses and oh wait, it's the customer's fault because we're perfect. Take some advice, learn from it and get better.....pretty simple concept. Instead the owner, just as management has done, blames the customer and refuses to accept ANY responsibility for anything going amiss......and surprise surprise they had zero problem cashing the check. I know they have fantastic people working for them, as do most places, but when a process is broken it needs to be addressed and fixed.

We had water damage from a leak in our kitchen earlier this year. The crew that came for the…read moreactual clean up and drying process was great but I have serious issues with some of the people in the office and their billing practices. When the kitchen sink cabinet they rebuilt was droppd off the toe kick was missing. I had to called a couple times, finally after a week I was told to go buy one and have someone install it. No apologies, no knowledge of any wrong doing on their part. I received an invoice in the mail for the final stage, ripping out my carpeting and delivey of the cabinet mentioned before. Invoice just said amount due $1,8--.--. No explanation of what this was actually for. I had already paid $1,5--.-- to them. After a phone call, I think they supplied me with a detailed estimate for charges but it did take a day or two. I called my insurance adjuster asking him to explain some of the charges. He looked over everything, said I was being doubled billed. I called Servpro again, they did take $3--.-- off of the bill, but I felt and so did my adjuster that there were still some items that shouldn't have been charged. I asked Servvpro to call the adjuster. They never did. He did finally call them. They wouldn't budge. After reading some of the reviews here and on other sites I just paid the bill, didn't want to face any legal battles. I belive they do overchage for some services, especially their charges for travel. Servpro is less than an hour from my residence. I was charged for 7 hours travel time to deliver my cabinets. They say you have to pay for both workers, okay so 2 workers back and forth to Sparta I come up with 4 hours not 7. I know the same crew that delivered my cabinets had come from another job in the area and were heading to at least one more. Does that mean that Servpro gets paid for the same travel time by at least 2 more customers besides me? WOW what a racket!

The staff are nice and pleasant to work with, and they were able to quickly get me on the schedule…read more So, that is a plus. Unfortunately, they missed some mold, and I had to call them back to cut out more drywall. This was a big disappointment. I don't understand how it was missed. The missed mold was right up to the edge of the drywall, meaning the drywall they cut out would also have mold right up to the edge, and they are supposed to remove one foot past where the mold ends. I found it when I was putting insulation back in, and I could have easily missed it myself which could have led to the mold continuing to grow and having another big problem later.  Also, I was given a work authorization to sign, but with no written breakdown of what the work would actually entail: which parts of the house, the process to remove the mold, etc. I had to request this. All other mold mitigation companies I contacted gave me a quote with a very detailed written breakdown of the work to be performed. If you go with them, make sure you ask for the details of the work to be performed in writing and don't settle for just a verbal explanation of what they will do.

My basement literally had water up to the top of my foot and they never even extracted any water…read moreout. Just threw fans/dehumidifiers down, ripped some drywall out and left. Then showed up 10 days later to grab their equipment and left. Charged my insurance company over $6,000 and once they got their money, I never heard from them again. For 3 months I left numerous voicemails which were never returned. I was initially told that they would be in touch with some proposals to replace the drywall, flooring, paint, etc. but never heard a single thing. So I was just left to scramble on my own and I am still attempting to find someone to finish putting my basement all back together and it has literally been over 4 months now. Live and learn I guess. I would have been better off renting a commercial shop vac and dehumidifiers and done it all myself and saved myself from being dropped by my insurance company. So very disappointing.
