I hired EMRG to do asbestos abatement on a shed, which they handled just fine. Not long after this,…read moreI asked them for an estimate for asbestos abatement/new siding on our house. EMRG sent someone out to take pictures for the estimate, and he proposed that we hire Spire (an affiliated company) to handle hail damage to our roof as well; this way, our insurer could place the siding and roof on the same claim and charge only the one deductible. It was a very hard sell, and I had the feeling that I was talking to a salesman rather than a specialist. We like our roofer and told the EMRG/Spire rep, "No thanks, but please DO send that siding estimate." Over the course of a month, I made this request several times. At first they merely delayed. In the end, they stopped replying and ghosted me altogether. The work on the shed was good, but the crappy treatment afterwards earns them no more than three stars.
