I was first referred to Preferred Builders by my tax preparer, Happily, my first repair/remodel turned out wonderfully so I immediately started a remodel on my own home. Scope of work: remove all the carpeting in the house and install laminate plank flooring in those areas. The travertine flooring in the entry, kitchen and hallway had large craters which collected dirt and water residue after washing. I had the floor steamed, the craters filled and the whole floor resealed. I had a gasline installed in the kitchen and a new gas oven installed. I also had a complete bathroom remodel which included removing a huge jacuzzi tub and installing an elegant and safe walk in shower. For the bathroom Nir listened to my concerns and needs and then gave me two 3-D renderings of my options. Elba was fabulous and fast with permits, a purchase list and provided weekly job schedules and updates. I have now completed this remodel and I can't be happier. My Preferred Builders team was pure gold! I highly recommend Nir, Elba and Orel, the Foreman. This remodel was bigger than the first job. It wasn't easy because there were many funny little issues in addition to the significant problems needing to be fixed. From the start, they made sure to go over every single detail and explain what each choice would mean. We weren't the easiest clients this time around because we changed our minds so many times, but it was never a problem. They were kind and patient throughout, and always had good workarounds for every issue, just like with the project 11 years ago. The job just concluded last week, and the work is top notch. Project manager Josef was excellent in bringing in his partners (designers, foreman, etc.) to ensure from the design to finish we were collaborating and satisfied with the end result. For the garage, we had it drywalled (no insulation), installation of a attic ladder (bought from Home Depot) to make use of a pre-built storage area, updated garage door and exterior lighting. Front yard included adding extra pavement to be able to park two cars on the driveway (we have the pre WW II one car driveway) but looks like a part of the front yard design, installation of artificial grass (YAY), redo of the front porch to include redoing the porch ceiling with a bare wood look, and installation of a pathway to the front steps. We had 3 home improvement projects in the last couple of years (including this project) and WTG Builders was the best in terms of responsiveness, communication, and setting expectations. Perhaps I'm more wiser too about projects but I appreciated Project Manager Josef's communication and updates and the various trade teams were fantastic. I also took into consideration their work in the local Long Beach/Lakewood area which I think is important. I would use them again and recommend them for similar projects!

Benny was personable, friendly and competent and was awarded the job. Benny's crew did an excellent job on demo and pouring a new foundation and a small extension of the slab. The new stairs also came out beautiful and solid. Benny used quality paint that exceeded the one that I specified as a minimum standard. Along the entire process Benny was on top of communicating the status and responding to my questions. There were a couple of issues that came up and Benny took care of them promptly and to my satisfaction. I enjoyed working with BK and would use him again.
