I have had 4 Change Energy since June 2025 when my bill was $77. My bill jumped in Sept 2025 to…read more$236.19 because I did not use enough electricity. I live in Texas and and I'm one person not consuming much. Now to 2026, I do auto pay. They didn't receive my payment for Dec 2025 and sent a disconnect notice for January 7, 2026 and a bill for $188 . In just 90 days I paid $1,200 for electricity -- an average of 17.7¢/kWh, which is 61% higher than what they promote. Their Electricity Facts Label looks good only if you use exactly 500, 1,000, or 2,000 kWh. Real households don't land on those numbers every month, so the credits disappear and the bills skyrocket.
