This location does nothing to put an end to the stereotypes about government employees and…read morecontractors. Although I was born in Ontario, lived here all my life, and meet the requirements for an OHIP card, I cannot have one according to this office. I have never been treated so rudely in my life. I appreciate that it's a difficult job, however I was dismissed and laughed at at this location. I bought a semi-detached home, built as a semi-detached home in 1986, however because their system doesn't recognize my address, they will not issue me an OHIP card. My drivers license was generated without issue, however because my address isn't "liked" by their system, I no longer get a new health card. I politely suggested they open a ticket with, for example, an IT department, or escalate my issue to someone who could help. This was met with sarcasm, smirking, and dismissiveness. Staff was unwilling to do anything to attempt to rectify the fact that their "system" was incorrect. "How then, may I obtain an OHIP card?", my follow up question, was met with shrugging and more sarcasm. I had to contact my MPP to assist. These people do not care, take no pride in their work, have no answers, and cannot escalate their own issues. Many Service Ontario locations are private contractors, not actually Service Ontario. You can phone Service Ontario to find an actual government-run office at 1-800-268-7095. I suggest going out of your way to attend one in person.

Bunch of incompetent, uncaring front line sheeps in the Lexington Road, Waterloo office. Like who…read moresupervises these people and manages the location? Went last week and the "service" person almost charged me twice for the Drivers License renewal fee until I stopped her. She also issued me a temporary OHIP card with incorrect information. Returned this week to have that corrected and was immediately and rudely told by another front line rep there is nothing she can do as per Head Office. Instead of making sure if she was actually correct she kept being argumentative with me. She finally called head office and turned out she was wrong and she could in fact fix the information. Not even an apology from her. Such great quality of service! SMH.

I posted my review regarding a third party company, and they advised it would take 3-10 business days for it to be posted. I emailed multiple times over a span of 3 months and no one at BBB responded. BBB is probably worst than the original company, at least there was some communication. BBB Serving Central Ontario is in short, just really not that good at their job. I don't know how this dumpster fire of an organization is still around. BBB might even be borderline corrupt, as it appears they cannot remain impartial and are bias towards BBB paying members. These are unethical business practice, BBB. Thanks for nothing, BRUTAL Business Bureau.

I was not allowed to file my authentic genuine consumer's experience with a business located within…read moretheir jurisdiction if anonymous. This BBB requires the consumer' complete real full first and last name; and personal info like address so they will be provided to the reviewed business for verification purposes as well as other consideration so the reviewed business may address the review accordingly. Apparently, this BBB does not have an option of remaining anonymous when providing authentic consumers comments. I am puzzled and disappointed this BBB obviously considers it's more important to protect reviewed business establishments, whether good or bad than allowing providing honest and fair consumers' comments of them for other possible potential consumers. Why would anyone spending their valuable time and effort filing untrue surveys and fake reviews? The condition of anonymity is extremely important in order to freely express one's own past experience, positive or negative; encountered by each consumer without being fearful of any possible retaliation, for examples: all federal crime hotlines and law enforcement tip lines. Thank you!

Despite the fact that I had no appointment and my travel arose unexpectedly, they navigated the process with exceptional efficiency and speed, and made sure I received my renewed passport promptly. Their care, patience, and dedication made what could have been a stressful experience completely seamless! 5/5!

The Service Canada office (run of course by the Federal Government) is as far as I can tell the model of efficiency and friendliness. I was helping a senior who needed to get a replacement social insurance number card, and from the moment we got in at 8:30 a.m. on a Tuesday, we were greeted by a gentleman who was able to answer the questions and register his place in line, waited a minute or two for his number to be called to the service counter, we were on our way in less than fifteen minutes from the time we arrived. It totally blew away my preconceptions. While I was waiting for my friend to finish, I saw people coming in and going out just as quickly as we had (and sometimes even faster, I think sometimes all they have to do just just let you drop your paperwork off to this office). I like the changes they have made!
