Super small spot but Jay is a super adorable older man who you can tell really loves what he does…read more I got passport photos taken here, the price is now 2 for $20 which is still cheaper than the typical Walmart ones and in my opinion the quality is way better. For me the first time I went it was a bit difficult finding the spot in the plaza, so to save future customers from circling around it is near the Popeyes, in the corner next to the bank!

This is just a little hole in the wall run by the nicest man in a shared office space that does…read moreon-the-spot photos and retouching. He has a sign outfront advertising passport photos for a reasonable price, and that's why I went in. In and out in 5 minutes. He took the photo, printed out 2 copies, stamped the backs, and wrote a receipt. CASH ONLY, and the passport photos cost $12 total which I thought was an excellent deal for on the spot. The photos he took were accepted immediately and without question by the Passport Canada office, which is worth much for than $12. If you have ever had a passport photo taken only to be told something is not quite right, you know the benefit of having an experienced photographer take a photo devoid of emotions and then scale/crop/print to the exacting measurements they require. It appears that a large portion of his business model is for retouching old and damaged photos. Basically a professional Photoshopper. I didn't use him for this service, but I do lots of Adobe Photoshop work and his retouches looked pretty good. He had a few certificates apparently for awards. But for passport photos, he is cheap, knowledgeable, and just a nice dude.

Very friendly service from the gentleman at the entrance table with the big mustache. Upon walking…read moreup to the desk to talk to a friendly agent with the Buffalo Bills jacket about how my passport renewal file was transferred from Quebec for an expedited printing, she asked me to step aside to speak to another woman. After paying the $45 transfer fee and and extra $110 for expedited printing, another friendly staff member asked me to come back in 2 hours to pick up the renewed password. Like clockwork, I came back within 2 hours, went in the short pickup line 4, spoke again to the friendly woman (with the Bills jacket) and she gave me numbered slip and said I would be called shortly to one of the cubicles to get my new passport. Within 10 minutes they called my number to cubicle #1 and yet again a super friendly person greeted me and asked me to review the details of my new passport that was just printed. Everything was perfect and I was on my way. What a great experience with a government office, so impressed!

My third visit to a Service Canada within the year to get an updated passport and luckily, my last…read moretrip! This is a Service Canada and a special passport office. I learned at my visit to another Service Canada that they can help you with your passport application but what happens is that they send it to the passport office which usually results in longer wait times since they have to mail it in. This location is one of the passport offices that can handle all of that at the location and also offers passport expedited services. I lined up early in the morning on a Thursday before the center opened. There was a hand written notice on a big white board right by the doors indicating where you should start queueing based on what service you were seeking. If you're looking directly at the doors, the passport service line was to the left and everything else was on the right (EI, OAS, SIN, etc). By 7:45am, someone else joined me in line. When the doors finally opened to the center, the security guard let us in one by one and told us which number booth to head to, no check-in necessary. At the other Service Canada, I was quoted a 37 day wait time for my passport. Here, I was quoted 14 days which is definitely a huge improvement. The gentleman that helped me, Will, was very polite and courteous and helped me with making decisions in the process. Now it's just the waiting game - fingers crossed my passport does get here on time!
