The contractor(s) from New Image Restoration removed and disposed of approx. 2' x 4' x 2' x 4' of the ceiling (sheetrock) that exhibited signs of mold, treated the exposed wood with a mold and mildew killer, identified the source of a leak, and recommended that I hire a plumber. I found the quality of the work to be satisfactory however, the identification of the leak was inaccurate, as no pipes were found to be leaking. The contractors were courteous and presented identification upon request before entering my home. Nevertheless, I consider the cost of the work particularly expensive for seniors given that it represents only (1) component of a (3) part job. Additionally, I was asked to sign a blank contract that stipulated a 50% charge, the cost was not explicitly detailed in the agreement. I had to inquire further to clarify this matter. Despite the fact that New Image Restoration was aware of my insurance company's $500 deductible, I was required to pay (2) both payments of $500 plus. Moreover, I began to receive multiple invoices totaling over $1,500 for services such as drywall repair, patchwork, priming, and painting, which were not performed by New Image Restoration or Super Steamer Carpet. It was also concerning to discover that New Image Restoration billed me through a subcontractor, Super Steamer Carpet, without prior notification regarding the involvement of subcontractors. Ultimately, I found it necessary to hire multiple contractors to complete the work on the ceiling mold issue. This experience has underscored the importance of inquiring about the entire scope of a project, including a comprehensive written description and a complete estimation of costs, accounting for any deductions.

For 7 weeks no workers came once we were allowed inside the home since the HVAC and gas were restored. I had another contractor take a look at house to see if the repairs justified 4 months. Apparently the repairs could be done w an entire crew in a week. We have been told not to contact Steve, the contractor, when we were looking for updates. Instead Steve went on vacation and I have patio furniture in my living room making it unusable. DO NOT EVER USE BELFOR!! THEY MILK EACH JOB FOR CASH AND TAKE AN INORDINATE AMOUNT OF TIME TO DO LITTLE TO NO WORK. next stop BBB

When I first called, the operator was not at all friendly and in the end, begrudgingly agreed to find out if that was something they even handle and told me if they did - I'd be contacted by an estimator, which I was. Ben came out the following week to do an estimate 19 Aug at no time did he indicate they couldn't do it. And we never heard from them again. I followed up on the 23rd of August and again in October to Ben directly and he never had the professionally courtesy to respond in any way - even to say "we don't want the work." Ben/Belfor, what do you think the odds are that we'll ever reach out to your company again for our next project? Spoiler alert - ZERO.

This happened over the Christmas holiday and when I tell you these guys worked around the clock to get My house back to the way it was , I mean it. I must say I was stunned at the previous review written about this firm. My experience with…read moreServpro was the exact opposite of what was written in May of 2015, I'm guessing they hired or updated their staff! I came home from vacation to find a pipe burst and my finished basement completely demolished by water. I was angry, frustrated and miserable, I was wallowing in self pity. I called John at Servpro around 6:45 that evening and he assured me he would have a crew out as soon as possible. I expressed to him my concern of mold, I have two young sons and I did not want to risk any possibility of black mold getting in their playroom. He said he understood completely and would make my situation a priority. My next call was from an employee named Hugh, he let me know what time to expect his team and what to be prepared for. He arrived on time, immediately put a large plastic tarp on the floor from the hallway to the front door and both he and his partners put plastic booties over their shoes. They worked hard for about FIVE hours, ultimately leaving my house at 3:00 a.m. (mainly because they had one of the large wet vacs that went out to the van jam) during this process Hugh's partner would routinely ask me about items to see if they were OK to discard or not. One point he had a stack of children's books and told me he didn't think they could be salvaged and that he was sorry, I told him it was OK but he responded saying that sometimes a kid can get attached to something silly like this and to please let him know if they're were any sentimental items to watch out for. The next day a young man named Jason contacted me and reviewed the drying strategy and how billing would work. Again he was incredibly professional and made everything easy to understand. In total they had their equipment in the house for about 5 and a half days and they kept me in the loop daily. At one point the manager of the firm came out to review everything and meet with the claim adjuster. Lastly, the final day Hugh actually decided to remove an additional piece of drywall because he wanted to "error on the side of caution" he did this free of charge and did not bill me for the time. This company made me feel like my needs were important, they treated my house with respect and did an excellent job. They returned phone calls within the hour and constantly updated me on what they were doing. If you ever have the misfortune of having a flood, fire damage, pipe burst your first call should be to Servpro.

I am adding this bad review here also because Miller restoration is the company that acutally did the repair and they did it inproperly thus the new damage is a direct result of them not doing the work correctly.
