Our 28 cubic foot chest freezer, which has squatted in the same location in our garage for nearly…read more35 years~~has been our workhorse for 52 years. I last pulled food out of it and transferred it to my small upright freezer about a month ago. Last Friday~~the eve of the Labor Day weekend~~I went into the garage and was struck by an odor best forgotten. Yes, it was the contents of my ancient freezer, which had suddenly died and become the entrance to the underworld. Saturday morning, I called Servpro of Cheyenne. Since the contents of the freezer were moldering inside of it, and there were no leaks, central dispatch advised me to tape the lid all around to keep the odor down, and the local office would contact me on Tuesday morning. On Tuesday, Ricardo and Ryan came out to the house, took a look at the situation and provided me an estimate to make all this go away. And go away it did! The next day, Jennifer and Allie came out, donned protective gear, and pulled the most repulsive wads of disgust known to man out of that freezer. Everything was double-bagged, securely closed, and taken to the landfill, where I'm sure the birds will fall from the sky for a month. This morning the women were back to deal with the freezer. Using a truck mounted vacuum system, they pulled all liquids out, then completely sanitized the unit and sealed it shut. They swept, cleaned, and sanitized the garage floor, and did it all with such skill, good humor, and efficiency, I wanted to ask them to move in. They advised me that a second team would be coming in this afternoon, with a trailer, to pick up the freezer and turn it in for disposal. Two strapping young men arrived, picked up that gigantic freezer and plunked it onto the trailer so fast, I didn't even get their names. So here I am, freezerless, out probably $1000.00 in frozen food, and still so happy to have met the wonderful men and women of Servpro Cheyenne, I smile every time I think of them. These people are the best. Ricardo called me several times to let me know when his people would be arriving and what they would be doing. His staff was prompt, courteous, and friendly. All of them knew exactly what needed to be done. (A special shout out to Jennifer and Allie. You guys ROCK!) And finally, Ricardo called one more time, just to make sure everything was OK. Servpro's number is in my phone, now. They will be my go-to if anything like this ever happens (shudder) again.

I highly recommend you DON'T use Servpro of Cheyenne. We have been waiting a couple months for our…read morescheduled appointment today for them to mitigate the mold we have from our leaking roof due to last year's big hail storm. Well, not only did they not show up, they completely cancelled doing the work they committed to do. Clearly the draw of making a quick insurance quick buck (or gouge people directly who are willing to pay) due to yesterday's hail storm here in Cheyenne was too much of a draw. If they can't keep their word to actually do the work they committed to, it makes you wonder at the quality of their work. Maybe I should be glad they didn't do the work on our house.

Excellent quality work from this long time local company and impeccable integrity. If the whole world ran the way Capitol Roofing runs, the world would be a perfect place.

My initial experience was great with them. First estimate was on Oct 26, 2016. However, it took until Feb to get CR and my insurance company aligned on what needed to be done, type of shingles, etc. CR could not match the guttering color so I was required to pick a new color and had to put a down payment of $10,000. Once that was settled an install date of July 24 was given by CR. I took the day off work so we could discuss my expectation and clean up. I have two young daughters and a puppy so I wanted to make sure the backyard was kept free of nails and shingles at the end of each day so that it would not be a danger to my kids. On July 24, no one had showed up by 10am so I called the office to see when to expect them. They stated they were behind on schedule due to the snow storms in late May and were about 6 weeks out from starting on my house. They rescheduled the install date to the first week of September. Again, I took the day off work for the same reasons above and 10am came and no one was at my house. So I called the company again and was told 32 houses were ahead of me and they could not guarantee me a start time. I requested my $10,000 deposit back and politely asked that the company and I go our separate ways. However, I was told that the contract stated that a fee would be assessed for any canceled contracts which it did. But since Capitol Roofing was not fulfilling their install portion of the contract on dates THEY scheduled, I asked to see proof of expenses to justify the $1500 they wanted for the canceled contract. They admitted that shingles had not even been purchased yet for my property but stated the $1500 would cover the initial estimate expenses that they originally and publically advertised as FREE. Like most people I can't take a $1500 penalty and agreed to stay with the company. The second week of September my shingles arrived without notice and stayed on the roof until a group of subcontractors showed up on September 30 also without notice. One of the reasons I went with CR is because they are a member of the Cheyenne Roofing Alliance which I assumed based on their commercials was to bring local contractors together to keep roofing projects local and support the Cheyenne economy/jobs. However, the subcontracted company CR chose was out of Scottsbluff, NE....hardly local. Roofing was complete with satisfactory results, however trash, old shingles, and roofing nails were left in my bushes, front and back yard, and driveway. On October 8, the guttering company CR subcontracted showed up once again with no notice. Immediately they recognized CR work order did not include down spouts. This meant if the work would continue as expected I would have dark brown guttering and light blue downspouts. The subcontractors told me someone from CR was coming out to talk to me about it, but was then told 15 minutes later they had worked it out. Next business day received a voicemail that downspouts would be added as an additional expense to my contract. Yes, that's without an initial estimate, without me signing or agreeing to any amount. On October 10, I called to remedy the situation was put on hold until it automatically transferred to Liz's voice machine. Received no call back, but when I called back 30 minutes later Cody said CR made a mistake and would eat the costs of the downspouts. Finally in December, the awning subcontractor showed up to repair the awning. They were a great group of guys and promptly removed the awning, but immediately recognized that the new awning was not the right size, did not have the right fasteners, and was incredibly flimsy. After about 3 weeks of ordering various parts for the awning the got it installed.

My insurance company called Servpro to come out to our home to inspect the damage done by our water heater. They came out as soon as they could and started the drying process. It took roughly a week to dry it out. They then disassemble and trashed our bathroom vanity and counter top due to the water damage, they also cut out the areas of drywall that needed to be replaced. This completed the first stage. We were happy with every employee that came into our home. They truly made us believe that they were concerned about doing everything top-notched. We like them so much that we were set up to have the repairs done by their restoration team. When the restoration inspector, Clint came in, he was encouraging and left us believing we were in good hands. He said he would work with my insurance company and attempt to get us more money than they wanted to pay out. (Insurance did not want to pay out as much as was needed to fix all the problem areas.) About 3 week of not hearing back, I began calling Clint to see where we were. I got through to him on the first call. He asked me to allow him to advocate for us, again making us believe he was going to get the best payout from the insurance company (again...that didn't want to give us enough to cover most of the damage). This is where business turned bad. After not hearing from him again for a long stretch of time I phoned him again. Left a message and waited for his call only to be ghosted, a few days later again no call back, then again ,then again and then a fifth time. I was able to voice my concerns to 2 other employees that said they would leave a message for him also. To one of the employees I even asked if this job was still something that they were interested in and he assured me they were. After 2 month of my house being turned upside-down, I am beyond frustrated, upset and highly disappointed. I would not recommend the restoration team to anyone looking to get a job done. When a business does not call you back they are not a business worth dealing with. There are a lot of other companies willing to do the work in a timely manner or at the least will inform you what they can or cannot do.

They were fully advised of the situation before dispatch, but arrived unprepared regarding equipment. They spent 3 1/2 hours here and then told me their boss had redirected them to another job. They left me "high and wet" even as a plumber was finishing up mitigation efforts. The next day they were not able to return, they just called about returning. We cancelled involvement with them at this point and spent the next couple of days removing the water manually with a shop vacuum. To add insult to injury in this scam, they charged my $1,483 for 3 1/2 hours work. Only one person was working and two were randomly supervising. Clearly an exorbitant wage for a poor result. I can only advise anyone considering ServPro to run the other way. You are about to get hustled!
