I have been trying to get my washer fixed since April. They won't answer their phone and my home warranty contracted them.

We had used the company once before and had an excellent result. So when we developed a leak from our LG washing machine we gave them a call. Big mistake. They mis-diagnosed the cause of the leak stating the detergent unit was the cause of the leak and it was on back-order. After about three weeks we called for an up date. NO RESPONSE! Another call a week later. NO RESPONSE! Then the light bulb in our head went on and we called LG. LG sent a factory trained repairman. He immediately identified a clogged softener tube. Cleared it and gave us maintenance advice going forward. No replacement parts were required. So, our lesson after paying Service Pro $89 for nothing was, call the maker of the product for an authorized repair agent and forget local appliance repair companies. Service Pro has done a disservice to all reputable local companies. And above all, NEVER call Service Pro. They are hacks that do not understand the products they come out to fix. The technician was knowledgeable, left me a business card and told me I'd have part come in a couple days and then have a repaired dishwasher. I've tried calling and emailing them several times and they do not communicate. They FAIL at communications. I contacted my warranty company to find the part taking 16 days to deliver, and surprise, the part is available NEXT DAY on Amazon. Would not recommend this company to anyone! At first I thought they were okay. Needed a bottom wall oven fixed as it was not working. They were choosen from my home warranty company, they came out in a timely manner and they had to order a part, that service person was very nice. When the part came in a different technican came out - I know he was having a problem, as he had to make a call for advice. When he finally got done he showed me the oven was working. I asked for an invoice was told they would email one. Never Received. I found 2 screws on my kitchen floor, and one screw on the top oven when he put it back together was just Setting in the hole (wrong screw???). Was referred to Service Pros by Viking when our almost band-new Viking convection microwave went ka-put. Spoke with Aaron initially to let him know what we were calling for. He said he'd send a tech out to assess the situation. Travis, the tech, came out and was able to determine that it was the magnetron, and it was still covered under warranty (alas, for the parts only, not labor). The filter screens under the microwave that catch grease from the stove had mysteriously disappeared somehow, and since our contractor moved and relocated the stove after getting our kitchen floor done, the lights above the knobs started blinking, so we asked for that to be taken care of as well. We got a call back after they were able to order and get the parts we needed (they dealt with Viking directly), and an appt. made. Travis showed up promptly and as promised, and took care of everything. He had to have a co-worker (Aaron?) come by to help him re-install the microwave, as it was just too heavy for him to do so without help. Thankfully, the co-worker was close by and arrived within minutes. Not thrilled that even though the magnetron was covered, the total bill still came out to close to $400, but the part alone to fix the blinking lights issue was $188, so the bill wasn't unreasonable. Paired that with great communication and a friendly helpful tech, no complaints whatsoever. Am hoping I won't have to call them again any time soon, but I feel better knowing should anything go wrong with our other appliances, we have a professional honest company we can rely on. read more

Now I am embarrassed to admit that the kids put it on child lock (yes laugh out loud), and I had no idea nor any clue how to fix it. Working with Service Pros is hit or miss. Mostly miss. First and foremost, I have called this company for nearly a year by telephone. NEVER ONCE has anyone from this office ever returned a phone call and even worse, never ever have they answered the phone. I have tried to reach them early morning, mid-morning, late morning, early afternoon, mid-afternoon, and late afternoon. The only way I have reached them, sorta, is by having American Home Shield contact them on my behalf. Service Pros has been to my house. When I initiated a service order for my Sub Zero refrigerator last year, they did call and set up an appointment, evaluated, and ordered parts. They come to my house to install the replacement parts at some point. This is what is bizarre. Service Pros sent a tech that did not know how to work on my Sub Zero. At the very end, the Service Pros tech tells me to my face that he can not install the 'heat tape' to keep the refrigerator from building ice frost on the coils because he does not know-how. Note: The heat tape is critical as the Sub Zero side-side-by-side freezer builds the ice, and then the unit can not cool the refrigerator portion. Anyway, after the technician admits his lack of qualification to service the Sub Zero, I have a private conversation in my head and say to myself, 'Pardon? Huh? What? No way? Seriously? Service Pros sends a tech to work on a Sub Zero that does not know how to work on and install parts for a refrigerator? This is surreal!' Did I say anything to the tech? No, and it's because I was speechless. I recall standing in the kitchen before the tech, and I opened my mouth to let my jaw drop a little. I believe it is at this point that time stood still, and I said bye as the technician gathered his tools and exited the house. Ultimately, the technician took all the parts with him and abandoned the job. Gone, they left and never came back. Yikes! After the technician left, I kept saying to myself over and over..........NO WAY! This so did not happen-really? Did it? I suppose, in some way, you have to turn tragedy into Comedy, and I tried to scoff it off and hope that Service Pros makes it safe to refrigerate again? They didn't. I guess I am moving from Comedy and back to tragedy. I gave it a good deal of thought. I couldn't have upset anyone at Service Pros because...wait for it...I never had a conversation with the office staff in order to please beg them to fix the Sub Zero that they attempted to fix but did not fix. Why? Because they do not answer the phone. Before writing this review, I visited many of the positive reviews, and all I can say is that I am envious of those that had a positive experience. Service Pros can do a great job if they want to. In my case, they presumably did not care. In my case, it is impossible to determine why my Service Pros experience was an epic failure. Is it because of Covid? Lack of staff? Too much business and therefore no need to care? I do not know the reasoning. But here I am in July 2022, and Service Pros never repaired the unit, which remains broken. I have to give kudos to American Home Shield. They desperately tried to communicate with Service Pros and, even in their own experience, exhausted every possible remedy to get them to do the job. American Home Shield gave up. After 8-9 months of going back and forth about the issue finally withdrew the service with Service Pros because they looked over the 8-9 months of notes and determined that Service Pros would not or does not know how to service a Sub Zero. The last representative I spoke with said they referred my case to their contract department for review to remove Service Pros as a provider for American Home Shield. If they do, this would be a good thing. In the end, all Service Pros had to do was answer a phone call, be upfront that they know how to service Sub Zeros, or perhaps that they are too busy and lack the qualified know-how with some of the staff and decline the service. This would have allowed American Home Shield to refer my case to another provider. This would have been a kind thing to have done. read more

My warranty company assigned them to work on a faulty gas range at my renters. After preliminary diagnosis and collecting the service fee, Technician determined to ordered parts for the repair. Ever since they kept changing the dates on us for good 40 days, They wont answer the calls for the most part and did not respond to my voicemails. We just need to keep calling them until we get hold of a staff member or Aaron himself. First i thought they are extremely busy hence could not return our calls or promptly finish our job, but after reading some reviews on Yelp, i confirmed that this behavior is a regular pattern. Not sure whats the intention behind, but they certainly delay the work for weeks and months in the name of waiting for parts and does not return your calls nor update the warranty unless they reach out to them. ServicePros is dishonest with us and also with our warranty company, Giving us moving dates for the parts arrival. I called to get a noisy fridge repaired and was given an appointment for the following morning. Cipriano showed up and fairly quickly diagnosed the issue and then made the necessary repair. Fortunately, the problem was relatively minor in nature and required no parts. I appreciated Cipriano's honesty about the issue and found him to be very knowledgeable, cordial and respectful. Choice Home Warranty called them several times and they NEVER, EVER EVER answered their phone or returned a call to them. They showed up at our house without an appointment (broken microwave), determined the issue, said they would order the part and "be back in a couple of days." Right. I spoke to the home warranty company who said they had not called them with a diagnosis and until they had that, they would not pay anything toward the claim. I called Service Pros and, of course, they never answered the phone. I left a message (so did the home warranty company) advising they needed to provide a diagnosis. They never called. I spoke with home warranty again this morning - still no diagnosis "but they will be at your house today between 3-8." "Uhm, no they won't. Cancel my claim." They cancelled our claim, said they advised Service Pros of the cancellation. I called Service Pros immediately and also advised them claim was cancelled and we would not allow them in the gate. They won't answer or call you back when you are working through a home warranty. They give you a time frame when they will come out but they just show up when they would like with no message or call saying they are on the way. I asked for afternoon service they showed up early morning twice. Tech guessed on what was wrong with my washer and had to order parts twice. The the first time he didn't bother to check it correctly. The second time he said he couldn't remove a bolt to install the new part he ordered so he was just going to tell the home warranty so they replace the whole thing. Impossible to get a promised callback. Called multiple days for simple information (a serial number of our oven), and told "We'll call you back", and lo and behold...it never happened. Told they would relay the message to Chris. Did not happen, as we did get a hold of him the next day, and he had no idea what we were talking about. To make it worse, he said he'd call back but never did, and further calls resulted in a recording. Beyond that, their mailbox was full. Surprise, surprise! I'd recommend a different company if you can, or expect to be put-off indefinitely. We're uncomfortable leaving a bad review, but are also old-fashioned in that when someone says they will do something, we expect them do it.
