I had an experience with K Cooling and Heating which was not very pleasant. One of the A/C units in…read moremy house stopped working and I called K Cooling & Heating to get it fixed. They showed up promptly on time. They technician (seemed like a trainee) spent around 2 hours checking the A/C system and told me that a coil was damaged and it will cost around $230 to fix it. I said ok and the coil was replaced, but the A/C unit didn't work. He did more investigation and told me that a panel need to replaced he didn't know the cost. He wanted to charge $230 right away and I insisted payment can be made only after fixing. Later the same day, supervisor/ manager from K cooling and Heating showed up to verify the finding and confirmed it. They gave me a quote for $870 to replace the panel. It looked so fishy and I told them - let me do little more research and get a second opinion. To my relief I was able to find another company to fix the panel for $350. The A/C unit is fixed by the second company. Now I have an invoice for $231 from K cooling and heating, which I am going to pay - not a good customer experience.
