When I arrived, I was told he wasn't available and that I would see another dentist in the office instead. She began the procedure, but couldn't remove the remaining part of the implant, and Dr. Simon eventually had to come in to help. They placed a temporary piece, and over the next several months I kept being told to come back in two or three months for follow-up visits. Eventually, the temporary fell out, and I was told it was due to an infection. After that, they said my tooth wouldn't be able to hold an implant after all -- even though they had already started the implant process and I had already paid for it. Dr. Simon then said I would need a bridge instead, which I ended up paying about $5,000 for. The bridge came out fine, but the whole process took almost two years, was very uncomfortable, and I often felt that I wasn't treated with much care or respect. I'm sharing this so others know to ask detailed questions before starting major dental work especially to confirm that an implant is a stable option before committing financially.

Meanwhile, we're now back living in New York while this office is located in Fort Lauderdale, forcing us to find another dentist to repair what Dr. Burak clearly failed to do properly. To make matters worse, she actually had the audacity to suggest that maybe my husband was "chewing more on one side." Seriously? What difference should that make if this is supposed to be a permanent implant? This has been an exhausting, stressful, and extremely expensive ordeal.
