Not acceptable response time is a negative. Update: A little after this review was posted, I received a text message informing me no availability today. Very happy a small business is active. Serenity Spa has more services than any spa I've ever been too. It takes almost an hour to read through them all on their website, seriously! That being said, I enjoy them. They are quite affordable, yet professional. They always run many specials every month that can be viewed on their website. Each month, they add additional seasonal treatments to their already tremendous amount of services. For services there, I've had a hot oil scalp massage, microdermabrasion, and a mud wrap & salt glow. They are a small operation, so scheduling isn't always the easiest but worth it when you get in. I've played a lot of phone tag with them to get scheduled. I really wish they had online scheduling like almost all other spas these days! I've actually gone to other places twice because I was able to instantly schedule an appointment for the day and time needed rather than wait to have them call me back. For this reason I'd take away a star, rating them a 4. I hope they read this and consider adding an online scheduling feature at some point, the sooner the better. They are easy to find, with plenty of parking in a private lot. Comparing them to other area spas, I'd say they lose a star for décor. While although nice inside, I still think they could improve on the spa feel overall. Little details can go a long way. Service wise itself, I'd rank them 5 stars. I wish you could rank them in different categories on Yelp. That being said, I can't wait to go back for a hot oil massage. They have 5 kinds to chose from based on your specific needs. Received a gift certificate and booked a massage with Mani/Pedi. Extremely lengthy 1st timer 5 page paperwork to fill out. Seemed kind of antiquated and not what you would encounter in a high end spa today. Typical massage table, however the sheet did not fit the table properly and felt Bunches under me and slipped around throughout service. I had to ask for the leg bolster, which was freezing when it hit my skin. The therapist however had excellent technique. On to nails...had to dust off the seat before I could sit down. Therapist had excellent technique. Room was very cold and there was a lot of noise in the other room where they were moving things around to remodel. Very hard to relax on my spa day. read more

I am visiting from out of town on business and tried to book a massage at some other salons, but was not able to get an appointment. I finally was able to book an appointment at Serenity Spa for both a 90 minute massage and pedicure. Upon entering the spa, I was a little skeptical about what type of treatment I was going to get. The office and spa is completed outdated and in desperate need of a makeover! The location is a little weird because it is inside an office building, so I was a little confused as to where to go. But my 90 minute massage with Ami was TERRIFIC!! She listened to exactly what kind of pressure I wanted and where I wanted her to concentrate and did exactly that! I almost fell asleep, I was so relaxed! She was excellent and I will definitely book her again when I come back to the area. My pedicure was pretty good. I thought it was overpriced for what you get. There is no jacuzzi tub for your feet and the foot massage could have been longer. Overall, the experience was good and I would recommend it to anyone in the area. read more

I got my girlfriend the chocolate indulgence package here and when she came out afterward she looked like a whole new person. She said it was the best gift she had ever received and wants to come back to do the couple chocolate massages. They have a HUGE variety of services to choose from both with and without chocolate and I highly recommend it to any guy who needs a great gift or any woman who needs a retreat. read more

Outstanding pedicure today with Amanda! My sister-in-law, who is a Dermatologist, gave me a gift certificate for a pedicure. I was surprised she did because, as a Dermatologist, she sees too many patients come in with rashes and such from pedicures, but she is VERY comfortable with Serenity Spa! My massage was so good that I want to move to Manchester, NH! The price was also really good compared to where I live. I went with a group and Serenity was able to accommodate all of requests, without a lot of notice. Everyone enjoyed their services. The environment was cozy and comfortable. Worst manicure and pedicure I've ever gotten. My 3 year-old could have done a better job. I asked for a French manicure that turned out terrible, uneven, discolored, and looked like the work of an amateur that had just learned what a French manicure was. My toes didn't turn out quite as bad - but were still awful, uneven, and unprofessional looking. NEVER go to this place it's a waste of time and money. read more

I've been a regular client of Serenity Spa for several years, and have had a continually fabulous experience. The facilities are exceptionally clean, and the therapists and technicians are pleasant, and eager to help and provide good service. I've had a variety of the services offered, including waxing, massage, facials, manicure/pedicure, brow and lash tinting. In fact, this has been the only spa that has performed waxing that left me without irritation - which is quite a feat, as I have very sensitive skin. The spa is nicely and warmly decorated in almost a Victorian manner, tea and cookies are available, as well as a water bubbler. The restrooms are always clean, as is the shower room that is used for body treatments. The nail room is on the other side of the spa from the massage and facial rooms, so no polish fumes! Parking is abundant, and close to the building. I've experienced other spas from east coast to west coast, Europe and Asia - Serenity Spa has provided the best services so far - there's no place like home! I highly recommend Serenity Spa, and often as well to all my friends, family and coworkers who are in need of refreshing their body and spirit. read more

One of my absolute favorite places in manchester. When I can spoil myself I go to serenity spa. I have done a lot of spa treatments but my favorite is the body wrap. Really makes my skin as smooth as silk. The most relaxing experience is having a facial. But since I work hard I need to fix my neck and shoulders with a deep tissue massage. I trust all the staff so if I will let any of the ladies work on me. I have treated my friends and family with gift certificates and they all have continued to be repeat customers as well. So if I could I give 10 plus stars!!! Oh and did I mention the huge list of services ear coning, waxing, Mani and pedi. The list goes on... not keeping this place a secret. This place was amazing. The last couple of places I have been to get my nails done, they rushed and it was so expensive. I was at Serenity for three hours for a mani/pedi and it only cost me $65. The service was amazing, and it was extremely relaxing. Cassandra took her time and made sure it was a very pleasant experience. I would recommend this place for sure!!!!!!!!! read more
