The floors are granite and heated. There are showers that include shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. One of my favorite things are a trough of mugwort tea that you can ladle all over yourself. Smells so good! You can pay $11 extra to have unlimited tea. The Tea Room has 2 hot and 1 cold. When you purchased the Tea Room, you also get a biscotti. The locker room has several amenities that you would need to get ready after a day at the spa. Hair dryers, combs, toothpaste, three different types of lotion and Q-tips. There are also water stations to refill your water bottle during your stay. They are a full service spa so you can pay for extra services like massage, facial body, scrubs, and body wraps. If you've never had a Korean body scrub, you haven't had a body scrub. They also have a Korean restaurant on site that has about six or seven tables that seat four. Check-in time is 15 minutes beforehand in order to choose scents and fill out paperwork. We chose the 60 minute Alderbrook Signature Massage for $170 (Sat-Sun pricing): harmonize body and soul with a hot stone massage treatment customized with a choice of scented oil. Designed to release tight muscles and relieve tension. After checking in, we were walked to a changing room where we were provided lush robes and spa shoes. Nudity is optional. During the massage, one is covered the entire time. The masseuse doesn't see ones' nakedness. Being naked removes all obstacles while enjoying the massage treatment. Once changed into spa wear, there is a relaxation room to sit in and read magazines, drink tea etc. until your masseuse calls for you. After being introduced to your masseuse, they will ask you a few questions such as pressure points and heat (stones) to get a better understanding of ones needs and expectations. The rooms are dimly lit and ambient dream music plays at a low volume. Once the massage starts, the talking stops. After the massage is completed, one is encouraged to take a few moments to themselves before exiting the room. Upon exit, one is greeted with a glass of cucumber lemon infused water and ushered back to the relaxation room to enjoy for as long as one likes. Back in the changing room, one can fully shower if desired. The appointment time they set aside here for the one service is 1 hour. This location did not have quite the aesthetic I was hoping for. They are currently doing some construction on the other side so I'm not sure what it was like prior, but not the overall experience I was looking for. I've booked my follow up for Queen Bee in CA since I'll be out there (15-20 min service, cute place, $25 cheaper, and surprisingly pretty painless due to the wax they use). On July 3, I drove to what I believed was the salon in West Linn, Oregon. When I arrived, the door was locked, and the business had a completely different name. Confused, I searched for Salon Riviera and discovered it was actually located in Gig Harbor, Washington--a city I haven't lived in since 2015. I immediately called the salon to explain what had happened. I told the manager that I live in Oregon, had received their promotional email, and honestly believed I was booking an appointment at the salon near my home. Instead of listening, the manager repeatedly interrupted me, spoke over me, and eventually hung up on me. I asked if I could speak with my stylist, Aislinn, since I had already paid $247 for an appointment I obviously could not attend. The manager refused, saying the stylist was unavailable. She told me she would speak with the owners about refunding me because no services had been provided. Instead, my appointment was canceled, and my credit card was immediately charged the full $247.00. I never stepped foot in the salon. I received no services, no products, and no consultation, yet I was still charged in full. Even if the salon has a cancellation policy, I believe there should have been some compassion and common sense in this situation. I wasn't trying to cancel because I changed my mind--I genuinely believed I had booked a local salon after receiving their promotional email. Excellent customer service means listening to your customers and trying to find a reasonable solution. Instead, I was treated with rudeness, dismissed, and charged the full amount for services that were never rendered. To the owner: My appointment was scheduled with Aislinn on July 3, 2026, at 12:30 p.m. I called your Gig Harbor salon immediately after realizing the mistake. The manager canceled my appointment because I clearly live in Oregon, yet my credit card was still charged $247.00. I have the promotional emails, appointment confirmation, and credit card records showing the charge from Salon Riviera, 5401 32nd Ave, Suite 101, Gig Harbor, WA. I work hard for my money. It takes me two days to earn $247, and losing that amount for services I never received is incredibly frustrating. I expected understanding and a fair resolution, but instead I experienced some of the poorest customer service I have encountered. I cannot recommend Salon Riviera based on my experience. ***************************************************** Erica, I strongly encourage you and your team to slow down, listen carefully, and fully understand the circumstances when customers call your salon or leave reviews.
