Serenitea was one of the first milk tea places in the country, and arguably the most popular one in the city. Once a quaint store that stood along J. Abad Santos St. in San Juan has blossomed into a veritable chain across the metro. And rightly so: most, if not all their drinks are delicious.
This was where I discovered the sweet and satisfying hokkaido milk tea, which is a basic milk tea infused with hints of toffee and caramel. It became my go to drink for quite a while, but I usually just added half sugar (yes, you could customize the amount of sugar in your drink) cause the caramel taste was already sweet enough.
Their selection of food is great as well, particularly the fried chicken chop. This peppery delight is such an addicting snack and reminds me of similar dishes from ersao and quickly. read more
