Opted for something off the beaten track for dinner on our northern lights quest.
The owner was very nice and helpful with the menu.
Beef short ribs were thin, tender, beautifully charred, well-seasoned but slightly under salted. The accompanied ginger garlic sauce tasted weak, hot sauce was better.
Pistachio curry (ground almonds, cashews and pistachios) with tandooried chicken cubes: creamy, delicious, good to the last drop of nuttiness: unforgettable, but oily.
Really enjoyed garlic naan (best dish of the meal): good-portioned, expertly baked with flaky/crisp skin, its thin fluffy dough culminating in a delightful mouthfeel.
Asmara (lager from Eritrea) - we snagged their last bottle: golden, mildly effervescent, hint of bitterness, so drinkable. read more
