Serendipity is very much open, next to the fire station, and supports the local food pantry.

Loved everything in this store! Not only did this store have something for everyone, it was also…read moreopen past 9pm on a weeknight. That is dedication! The store owner/salesperson was very sweet and patient with the several people who wandered in after having dinner nearby on a spring evening. From nautical clothing to nice affordable beach themed jewelry, and picture frames to souvenir glasses with lighthouses and anchors on them, they really had a lot to offer the average tourist. I don't know the next time I'll be in this area but if I find myself here I will make the effort to get to this wonderful shop by the water!

I know that five stars for this Bar Harbor tourist shop may sound a little excessive, but hear me…read moreout. 1. This shop is a bit smaller than some of the other "tourist trap" shops along the strip, but they have a decent selection of high quality items at competitive prices. 2. This shop is dog friendly and also has the cutest dog who is the shops unofficial mascot. He I older and blind but still incredibly adorable. 3. The staff here is exceptional. They are incredibly receptive to customers but not overbearing and intrusive. The staff here was actually the nicest staff we interacted with while in Bar Harbor. 4. They not only have your generic run of the mill tourist attire, but have a huge selection of hand crafted items from local vendors. The jewelry here was gorgeous and I almost died laughing at a lobster calendar which was made by a local lobster fisherman. Overall, this store deserves the five stars because they treat their customers right and have a great selection of items. A few smiles, small talk and a welcoming vibe goes a long way for me!

If there's one place I can do some serious gift shopping for my family, it's in Bar Harbor. But not…read moreso fast- because around all the main attractions spots, I mainly found touristy souvenir shops with key chains. YAWN! Every time I'm vacationing, I'm always on the look-out for interesting shops that sell items worth my money to give away. My Darling Maine Island Boutique is another great Bar Harbor Gift Shop on Cottage Rd where you can pick up really interesting keepsakes. No- you're not going to find the mundane souvenirs here. What you'll find are gifts with a purpose, many with a twist and a message from local artists. Victoria and I caught up via email and phone to solidify my appointment. She was super accommodating to our schedules and opened her shop earlier than expected. Thank you so very much! Her shop has a little of everything including casual and funky clothes and other well-priced pieces that I snapped up for myself! She was beyond friendly and we practically talked for almost an hour. Love your energy girl! No doubt, you'll find one-of-a-kind "souvenirs" here.

I searched through dozens of Bar Harbor shops looking for a pair of touchstone earrings to remind me of the peace and joy I felt in Acadia this summer. Finally, I found delicate, handmade silver earrings shaped like blueberry leaves in My Darling Maine. Perfect! I wore them to work my first day back - and lost one. I was heartbroken. But I contacted Victoria to buy a replacement, and she took the time to send me individual pictures of every pair of blueberry leaf earrings she had in the shop (because they're all unique!) so I could choose. And then she mailed them to me in Virginia. Now my beautiful blueberry leaf earrings are a sweet reminder of our family vacation in Maine AND of the power kindness can have over loss. Thank you, Victoria!!!

Ok not much to say...I tend to say that a lot about a place and then write a ton. Ill try to limit…read moreit here lol Along Main Street in Bar Harbor, one of the most amazing towns I have ever visited...lies many, many, MANY! tourist shops. All stocked with tons and tons and TONS of Maine related items, because why would there be anything else, right? Well!!! Acadia Park Company is just ANOTHER one of those stores! I will say this...even tho there are tons of t-shirt shops, that also sell...magnets, mugs, hoodies, I mean..you name it! Acadia Park will for sure stand out to you as one of the nicer ones. 1) its very large and has tons of room to move around. Many on "the strip" are small and cramped. Not this one. 2) its very nice inside. Very clean, nice floors. 3) every product is laid out beautifully. Whoever designed the layout...props to you. You sure did put thought into it and have made a tourists shopping experience in a very busy little town VERY! busy...so much better. 4) you will for sure find something you love here. They have the most amazing hoodies. Hoodies other stores did not have. Did I buy one tho? 4) No, I did not :( :( and I regret it to this day....I was just there like 3 weeks ago lol. Why didn't I buy one? pricey! Thinking back tho, I should have gotten one because my whole life I have always wanted to go Maine. Finally made it there. Tried on 2 or 3 hoodies and absolutely should have treated myself. I got a t-shirt there tho lol 5) Staff is amazing! They literally see thousands of people a day, from all over the country, the world and somehow...remain pleasant and helpful. That takes talent and takes talent in the management to hire quality people. Wish I could work there. No joke. Id move to Maine in an a crazy ass heartbeat. Wonderful store to visit. Tons to choose from. If you happen to see this and go this store, you won't be disappointed. It really is a nice store in every way possible. I look forward to the day I make it back to Maine and to Bar Harbor. Thanks for reading, YelperMainers!!! sidebar, I visited many of these shops. I will try to write my reviews for all of them. Cheers!

The Acadia Corporation owns and runs eight different individual stores in the Bar Harbor area that collectively are referred to as "Acadia Shops." This specific review is for Acadia Park Company - a souvenir store that boasts "2% for the park." My understanding is that 2% of revenues go to Friends of Acadia (FOA). Anyway, as far as souvenir shops goes, this wine was pretty thorough offering t-shirts, jackets, hats, magnets, postcards etc. depicting images from Acadia National Park.
